The parking lot is a one way in one way out street and there are not many spots. I recommend parking along the street. There are two playgrounds, a pickleball court, an exercise circuit, and a pool. Bathrooms are near the parking lot. There was one time where a group of people were dressed in "Edwardian" clothing. I have zero idea why, but as a Black person walking through a time when I didn't have rights felt very Get Out.

A very nice, very spacious park in Alameda if you include the baseball field, which you should!! On one end, you have redwood trees, a basketball court, kids area, tennis courts and an exercise area. On the other end you have that huge baseball/softball field. The High Street Market is just across the street if you want to grab a drink on a hot day, then come here and chill out, that's what I tend to do if I'm not on the hoop court shooting around!!

Lincoln Park is unnamed on it's frontage. the park is visible on a driveby. the depth of the park isn't apparent but for a walk through. it's mostly sports facilities with a little bit available for everyone. amenities: tennis court, baseball/socceer field, swimming pool, children's play area, picnic tables, bbq area, fresh greenery, bocce ball, rec. center. basketball court, exercise area. note: -a plaque denotes an historic mound nearby where an indian burial site was found in 1908. -small parking lot in the center accessbie from the rear.

Often at about 7 pm, swarms of crows materialize out of nowhere, and they like to sit on telephone wires and watch the sunset.--Tom Brody

LINCOLN PARK is a medium sized, multi-purpose park located in Alameda, CA. The park is distinguished by its traditional wrought iron fences, towering shade trees, swimming pool, and baseball diamond with adjacent athletic fields. For spectators, there is a grandstands for those interested in watching baseball games free-of-charge. Lincoln Park also has a basketball court, bocce ball court, and children's play structures. Also, there is a little botanical garden. LACK OF LIVE PERFORMANCES; LACK OF ARTS'n'CRAFTS FAIRS. Lincoln Park never has the same type of arts'n'crafts fairs and live performances that have been featured at parks in Berkeley, such as San Francisco Mime Troupe, performances by Johnny Casino (Jean Paul Valjean), as is found, e.g., at Live Oak Park in Berkeley. It would be nice for Lincoln Park to be used for arts'n'crafts fairs with face-painting, jugglers, magicians, banjo players, and so on. NEARBY ATTRACTIONS. ALTARENA has been at its present location for decades and decades. This theater has always provided a fascinating selection of plays and musicals. Lincoln Park is always the starting point for my hour walk across Bay Farm Island Bridge, then around the Martin Luthor King Regional Shoreline, and then back to Alameda via Fruitvale Avenue Bridge. CROWS. In and near Lincoln Park, what often happens late in the day is that crows materialize out of nowhere. At 7 o'clock in the evening, flocks of hundreds of crows sometimes swarm overhead and fly in unison in this or that direction. And sometimes, at about 7pm, lines of crows perch on telephone wires near Lincoln Park. Attached are my photos of these crows at sunset.

Awesome shaded playground. No hot slides here.

Drove here from San Leandro because we were getting bored of our parks. Mapquest led me to the side with the baseball field. Kind of hidden 1 lane alley that leads to a small parking lot. The baseball field looked very clean, nice and well maintained. They had a great variety of activities packed into a smallish park. Gated exercise area. hand ball walls or maybe chalk walls. Nice age appropriate playgrounds covered with huge trees which provided nice shade over the entire area. If I remember correctly they had areas for bocce ball, tennis, basketball and even a pool. Bathrooms were in the parking lot. Lots of grass under trees for picnics. Small rose garden walking area also. I liked this park and felt safe. We came during summer, on a weekday, noonish. So there were some day camp kids and a few families. We will be back.

a spacious park , very well maintain but somehow with no bike racks to park our bikes except within the pool area -but you have to be members hence missing out on the 5 stars because honestly it is lovely. On the High street side you have a lovely and lush rose garden with a little chalet that you can hire for birthdays and other family functions, then you come to the play grounds organised in age range and well maintained. Swings with so much saw dust that you could do a saw dust angel. Mini tennis courts and the community pool.

This park even connects and opens up to a baseball diamond and soccer/football field and which I believe extends to Fernside Blvd.

After parking, if you can find a spot, the first play area includes a trampoline, climbing structure, a wide metal slide and an oversized musical chime. To the right, a spacious mesh swing spins with kids constantly filling and spinning it. Directly in front is an ample sand area with a brick barrier surrounding it. To the left are three picnic tables. In front of the sand area is the smaller kids play area which is directly next to the restrooms and water fountain. To the left of the little play area is the zip line. When you go further in to the park, there is a covered area with lots of picnic tables and seating grouped together, more benches and lots of grass to play and explore further. There are paths to ride bikes, scooters, roller blades and skateboards. During warmer weather this park is packed. When we visited, following a prior event, there were already lots of kids on a gray, windy, overcast day. This park is spacious on the interior but parking on the exterior is limited. The parking lot is minimal for the amount of space to explore, which is awesome but makes it difficult to navigate up close parking. Street parking is not really existent unless you enter on the opposite end of the park.

Along the perimeter I noticed one white windowless van with one or two parking tickets on it. I only noticed this as my mom never told me not to talk to strangers or be scared of people I didn't know as a little kid - but she advised everybody who would listen to stay away from these kinds of vans. Enough of me sounding like Forest Gump telling you about 'Momma always said...." Weather in Alameda is nice and that is a plus - but the problem is you would never come to this park if you didn't just stumble upon it or live close. No, no, this isn't some destination. Across the street is a new development. I like it because it kept the old brick historical front and it hid well the huge new monstrosity sitting just behind. I heard that developer is huge in the area and owns and collects rent from many hard working locals. Get the kiddos out - they had enough Tic Tok - talk to them. Tell them something - let them know if they listen to all the social media nonsense its message starts to have too much weight in life.
