This was an awesome walk! This sits on the shorline of alameda with a great view of oakland, san francisco and the south bay. There is tons of parking and jt was a beautiful day when we went. Its awesome to walk the trail see the cool houses, amazing views and fun man made objects that have been put in. They also have tables, parks, bbqs, and firepits that line the trail and its an awesome spot to hangout. Its also Dog friendly! Highly recommend!

Great little park removed from the hustle and bustle. There are trails on the edge of the island with stunning views of San Francisco and the Island of Alameda. Along the main path are several picnic bench areas perfect for picnics and parties. If you follow some of the paths that lead into the residential areas you'll find waterways, ponds, pedestrian bridges, mini beaches, playgrounds, and free libraries.

My 1st review on 01-01-2021, this is my favorite walking and or bike riding trail in Alameda on BayFarm Island. Beautiful views of the bay & even a few picnic areas to just chill. This was my go to walking area while I was sheltering in place during the 2020 COVID-19 pandemic. More or less a local community favorite place for recreational walking, dog walking, running, biking etc...It will continue to be my go to walking trail for 2021 & for years to come!

My go to walk on Bay Farm Island in Alameda, Ca. A full rainbow over San Francisco, Ca around 7:36am on 3/3/18 Saturday. See "full" photo for the two pots of gold.

This is the most beautiful place you can have gatherings in Alameda overall (Bayfarm or main Alameda.) Beautiful view, no dog poop anywhere & quiet. They have a parking lot, but it actually is best to park on the street, closer to where you decide to claim your spot. Great place to have your dog run around, and play fetch. Come early, since there's only 3 spots to claim. My place to go, for sure!!

I love feeding the squirrels here. They're so cute. Pretty place to walk around when you're bored on your day off and have no where else to go during the pandemic.

Normally a small, narrow strip of land does not make for the greatest of parks, yet that is the basis for Shoreline Park. Of course, if it just happens to be on the edge of San Francisco Bay, with expansive views of the distant city...well, now you're talking! Lovely location for a jog, walk, panic, bike ride, or sitting on a bench - you can't go wrong with this view. Two hour street parking is available on Adelphian Rd. A bathroom can be found nearby at the adjacent Alameda Harbor Bay Ferry.

My favorite Uncle lives in Phoenix and at least once a week we share a 1/2 hour of texting back and forth. Usually these texts include us taking photos of ourselves where ever we are at or of what ever we are doing at the moment. It just so happened that I was killing time in Alameda at Shoreline Park. This is my hood away from my hood because I spend so much time out here. The day was so clear and I could see San Francisco as clear as a bell. The Bay Bridge was even glinting in the sun. The views were spectacular on this day. So boom, what better way to win the texting how do ya do's than shoot some shots of the City By the Bay and send them to boiling ass Phoenix? Any Gay man 25 miles out of San Francisco would be longing to be where I was standing. And of course he was. "Just beautiful" was the text I got back. I know that's why I come here just to kill time.

    Follow the rules!

From Shoreline Park in Alameda, there are beautiful views of San Francisco and the Bay Bridge in the distance. Fun place to take the kids. There is a little play area for them. Picnic tables and benches are available as well. Nice place to hangout with friends and/or family. Wifey and I did not stick around at the park too long because we wanted to continue walking along Shoreline Trail (which I recommend doing). Have fun folks!

Last year and this year we held a birthday BBQ here. I might get uproar over this, but according to Google map, Bay Farm seems to be a separate island from Alameda connected by a bridge. To make things MORE confusing, Alameda has a Shoreline Park and Bay Farm has its own Shoreline Park as well. This year as well as last year people looked at the invitation, saw Shoreline Park and ignored the intersection we gave them. They ended up at the wrong Shoreline Park. So this place gets a minus star for being extremely confusing navigating to. However, once you've found it, you'll find the most beautiful view of San Francisco Bay. You'll be able to see the Bay Bridge, San Francisco & the San Mateo Bridge. The BBQ pits are hardly ever taken. You are right there by the water. There is a HUGE grass area to play. There is plentiful parking. And 5 minutes drive up Mecartney Rd a shopping center for things you forgot to bring. Trust me...it's gorgeous...how gorgeous? Last year when we were throwing the BBQ ... there was a wedding going on next door. We turned down the music and tried to not let the BBQ smell run over of course...but yes...see?...that gorgeous. I think my mom found this spot when she got lost in Alameda/Bay Farm...whatever they want to call it. My theory is that Bay Farm people are purposely hiding it from us! This Shoreline doesn't show up on searches, not even a real park according to Google map! Doode...why am I even sharing this secret spot on Yelp? Because I love you guys and this area should get the recognition it deserves. I've seen people jog and run their dogs here. I've seen a wedding here. I've seen couples come here for romance. I've hosted many BBQs here. Just trust me on this one. But bring a jacket ok. It's windy, sometimes cold and today it sprinkled. Don't do the flip-flop, short mini skirt/shorts, dress thing...not cool.

When we visited, following a prior event, there were already lots of kids on a gray, windy, overcast day. This park is spacious on the interior but parking on the exterior is limited. The parking lot is minimal for the amount of space to explore, which is awesome but makes it difficult to navigate up close parking. Enough of me sounding like Forest Gump telling you about 'Momma always said...." Weather in Alameda is nice and that is a plus - but the problem is you would never come to this park if you didn't just stumble upon it or live close. No, no, this isn't some destination. Across the street is a new development. I like it because it kept the old brick historical front and it hid well the huge new monstrosity sitting just behind.
