Very elegant Marina to view San Francisco! I went to the Marina park at San Leandro and now here at Emeryville. I later learned that there are multiple marinas in the Bay Area and so far, I went to two of them as of today. This is pretty much like a smaller peninsula of the marina where you can relax and picnic here. It's really a great place to come here in the morning to get some breeze and walk around it. There are multiple benches here and that's really good because when sitting, you're basically viewing the peninsula, San Francisco, and as well as the Bay and Golden Gate Bridge. It's quite naturalistic here with much greenness here. I heard that you can make reservations to picnic at the benches. Also, there is a free 4-hour parking limit here and that's very long and that's fair enough since this parking lot isn't large especially when some parking spaces are reserved for permit holders or marina members I think. read more

Nicely maintained walking path, green spots, long pier, water fountain for cleaning, expansive 180 view of the bay from Oakland, bay bridge, to Golden Gate Bridge all the way to 580-Richmond. Beautiful park with lots of walking areas. I used to bring my yorkie down here to see gophers and he loved it, when he was still around. The only thing I would complain about with this place is that as you drive down Frontage Road to get here, all of the vegetation is over grown and unmanaged. It looks like kindling collecting, waiting for a cigarette to burn everything down, and we're coming up on fire season in a few months, so they better get cracking on it or we'll see them on fire in the news. Emeryville Marina is my "go-to" place for a nice stroll or bike ride. We finally had a break from the rain today so I was able to hit Marina Park for a walk. They have a nice paved trail along the water that takes you all the way around the park. Parking is available in the lots within the park, admission and parking are free. On warm days you can find a nice spot in the grass to picnic or watch the sunset. There is also bench seating available throughout the park in case you'd like to grab a seat. The views of San Francisco, the Bay Bridge and Golden Gate Bridge are unmatched! This is also one of the best places to watch fireworks on the 4th of July. If you're hungry, there are a few restaurants within walking distance of the park as well, Hong Kong Lounge is the closest, followed by Trader Vics and then Chevys which is a little closer to the freeway. I love stopping here for a quick break on motorcycle rides before I cross the Bay Bridge. It's right off the highway and has lovely views of the bay. There's no entrance fee and it has plenty of parking spots close to the water. There's also a walking path that loops around the marina which is great for puppers. The area is clean and usually drama free. There's a few grassy areas that are great for picnics and a few spots seem to be very popular for fishing from the shore. read more

** The following review reflects my experience DURING the COVID-19 pandemic. ** To me, Emeryville is about the three P's - Pixar, Peet's, and the Public Market. Oh yeah... and IKEA, too. So I didn't think much about the strip of land on the other side of 80. I knew the old-school Chinese restaurant was over there as well as Trader Vic's for a mai tai bender, but that was about it. So in my constant search for places nearby to get my steps in, Jamie W. and I decided to drive over and follow the narrow walkway around the perimeter of the skinny peninsula that curved north into a park setting. It's an easy walk, fully paved, and quite pleasant with the constant bay views. There's a breakwater extension that's primarily used as a fishing pier. Yay! More steps. There are public restrooms available along the way, not to be mistaken for the private yacht club restrooms. I guess I know my place and will keep my distance... for health reasons, of course. The Emeryville Marina is kind of my sanctuary during Shelter in Place. It's small but quite scenic and peaceful. The view is excellent. You can see the Bay Bridge, Golden Gate Bridge, Oakland, and SF across the Bay. I've come here countless times for a walk and run. It is important to go outside and get close to nature to clear my mind. Although it rarely gets hot in the area, the temperature can go up to 90 degrees for a couple of days in the summer. The marina is a great place to cool down. There are picnic tables and benches to sit and a couple of restaurants nearby. Plenty parking. Overall, a terrific neighborhood park! read more

This is a small Park at the Emeryville Marina!! This small park is Kite central, as I almost always see someone flying their kites because of all the winds. We absolutely love Marina Park! During one of our "trying new parks" runs we found that this area had quite a bit of what we look for. Nature and animals (the squirrel population is huge here and quite often there's a convention of ducks), enough space to walk for an hour or more (the hike from parking to the windy side with the view isn't the only section you can walk), and free parking. While we enjoy weekdays a bit more, it's always a beautiful view and there's always parking available. All in all, it's definitely a great park to check out! read more

If you stand at the corner of the Marina, close to where Hong Kong East Ocean is, You will have the most incredible 270 degree view of the bay. I like to come to this Marina over Berkeley Marina because it seems to be well maintained. Berkeley Marina seems to have a bug problem. We went there the other day and our blanket was infested with what seemed to be flying beetles. The Emeryville Marina is much calmer. It's a great place to take walks, picnic, or sleep . You get a great view of the Bay Bridge and if the skies are clear you can even see the Golden Gate. There are a lot of benches and places to sit. I come here pretty often with my girl to sit and enjoy the scenery. This place is very windy, however, so if you want to find a place for an outdoor party, look elsewhere. The view spans from the Oakland Port to the Albany Hills. Plenty of parking and just a great place to think. read more

Normally I'd you're in the way bay you get stuck in the crazy traffic going to coming from SF . this place is a great chill spot right of the highway. An awesome spot for a picnic/cuddle time/views of the Bay. Headed out with friends this past weekend and it was fab. Used one of the several public BBQ pits and grilled ourselves silly. Set down blankets and had a cuddle-fest while we drank away the day and discussed inappropriate topics. Watched the sunset with great views of everything depending which way you were facing. Not many people around despite it being a holiday weekend. Top secret, hidden from the public view fire pits...some intimate enough for romantic smooches (or more, if you're me!) and some are big enough for big bbqs with family & friends. A great to watch swimmers, kayakers and oil rigs drift by on the lapping tides. Emeryville's....one is weaving in and out of condos, restaurant distraction, unkempt marina things. As well, path weaves and can't exactly go on autopilot with one's thoughts. This view is amazing. we tried to come here for the 4th of July. When we arrived the parking lot was full by 10:30 ish. after a few laps we found a parking spot. Not the greatest stalls around, being that they are so close together. Some people take up 1 & 1/2 due to their parking skills. There were a few sites available with a BBQ pit, which of course all were taken by the time we tried to find one. in between there is a large enough gap for your own BBQ pit and set up shop. In between site B &C you have the public bathrooms. As we unloaded the car and setting up little by little. You can feel the freezing winds picking up. As we waited for the rest of our group, it became SO COLD! We ended up taking off. The cold winds became unbearable, even with the sun shining down. We were told it isn't usually that cold. What a well kept secret here in the east bay. Somehow I've lived nearby forever and I've never been here before yesterday. Sometimes it takes a friend who likes Hong Kong style food from Berkeley to get you to venture out. A great date spot for you to have dinner and a walk along the water. The marina itself is clean and filled with life. There are lots of boats in the water which can't be said for the San Leandro marina where they wont dredge. All the boat filled slips are pleasant to the eye and yesterday was the perfect weather to enjoy this spot. There are nearby hotels so I could also recommend staying here if you are a tourist who is visiting San Francisco but just wants to explore a bit outside the city... I should update my review. This place is across Emeryville/Oakland. You go under the bridge and start driving out to the Marina. You'll pass a few things, but then it veers to the right. there are a few parking lots. There are many trees, so shade is great. you can often find people working out (kinda like a cross fit deal) and there are small paths for joggers and all. The view, on a not so windy day, is really amazing. There are places to sit and there are rocks along the water. It is a calming and tranquil place. read more

For the most part, I agree with all the love for Emeryville's Marina. When you head all the way out to the end, it's almost like you're on an island in the middle of the bay rather than on land, with great views in all directions. The only thing that's missing is an unobstructed view of downtown SF - it's blocked by the bridge - but other than that the vista is incredible. Don't miss the newly-constructed-looking pier pointing back towards the East Bay at the far end of the park. There's ample free parking here, but be warned that the winds here can be really strong. If it's windy wherever you're coming from, it'll probably be really windy here. read more

The park is awesome! The people? Not so much. I walk my dog frequently here (always on leash no matter when/where) and I must say that others who have pets that come here, often don't notice that THIS IS NOT AN OFF LEASH DOG PARK!! Keep your pets under control! My dog has been attacked many times by irresponsible dog owners' pets in this park. Not everyone wants your dog near theirs no matter how "friendly" you think it is. read more

The most beautiful running trail in the Bay; Running down one side of the pier and back is only about 2.5 miles, so it's a good length as well. On the run/walk to the end of the pier, you can see a panoramic view of the Bay Bridge, Golden Gate Bridge, and the SF skyline.
