My 1-year-old has a life-threatening egg allergy, which the daycare was well aware of. Despite multiple reminders, he was repeatedly exposed to egg 2-3 times a week. That's not a mistake--it's negligence. Every day I dropped him off, I worried it might be the last time I saw him alive. On top of that, my 8-month-old's personal formula, diapers, and wipes--which I purchase out of pocket--were consistently used on other children. I was rarely given back everything I brought each morning, and I had to wait 15-20 minutes most days to pick them up because parents are kept in the lobby, unable to check on their own kids. I paid thousands of dollars a month to this facility, yet it felt like I had to supervise their staff every single day. My job is to work and provide, not to constantly fear for my children's safety in a place I trusted to care for them. Parents, be aware: if your child has any medical condition or specific care needs, look elsewhere. No family should have to live with this kind of anxiety, especially while paying a premium for care.

I've debated whether or not to post this, but I feel strongly that other parents should be warned…read moreabout our experience with this daycare. If I could give zero or negative stars, I would. The communication is virtually nonexistent, and the lack of professionalism--especially from ownership--is incredibly concerning. My son attended LTA from June 2024 to April 2025.Things were fine at first, but everything changed around March 2025. Staff turnover became constant, and my son was repeatedly moved between new teachers. The biggest mistake, in my opinion, was letting go of the former director, Morgan. After that, the quality of care declined rapidly. Here are just a few of the major issues we experienced: * Neglected hygiene: My son came home multiple times with painful diaper rashes and yeast infections. We saw his pediatrician three times in just a few months due to poor diapering practices. * Unreported injury: He came home with a bite mark and deep bruising on his arm--no incident report, no communication. * Ignored messages: We raised several concerns, including diaper changes and safety issues. Most were never acknowledged or addressed. * Misplaced items: He was frequently sent home in clothes that weren't his, and his belongings were often lost. * Safety failure: On his last day, staff reported that he had ingested diaper rash cream because a teacher left it within reach and wasn't paying attention. We even filed a formal complaint with the State. Despite that, nothing changed. We gave notice of withdrawal and didn't receive a single reply. A week later, I had to follow up in person just to confirm it was processed. It's devastating to feel like you can't trust the people responsible for your child's care. I strongly urge any parent considering LTA to check their record on the Utah State Licensing website before enrolling.

It says a lot about a company if they can keep their staff longer than a year. They feel like an extended version of my own family. The founders are always coming up with fun ideas involving family engagement. Their preschool program they have is amazing. They have laid wonderful foundations for all my children to be able to read. They have been the best daycare I have ever taken my children to.

Review Unfortunately, this place is not what we thought it…read morewas going to be. After 5 weeks, they kicked my 10 month old baby out with the excuse that she was not adjusting well, that she was sad and crying all the time. They completely disregard the fact that she has only been in there for 5 weeks and the fact that out of those 5 weeks she got sick twice. Of course while being sick she was not brought in; therefore, she had to adjust each time all over again. They keep saying they cared for her and what not, but still kicked her out. They had no tolerance and no patience. According to them, she was a bother and didn't let her teacher take care of the other kiddos. But they had the nerve to say they could keep taking care of her until I found a new daycare. They must've thought I am naive enough to continue to bring my daughter to a place where clearly she's not welcome. Clearly all they cared for was the money. They wanted to keep getting paid. Of course I didn't agree and asked for my money back. Here are some recommendations: 1- learn how to handle situations like this properly. There's no need to kick out a kid after 5 week and 0 proper routine. A chat should've been done and maybe 2-3 months of trying to figure out how to help the kid adjust. 2- not all parents can leave their jobs to Pick up their kids simply because they are "sad" and crying. They are babies and crying normal. Proper Adjustment takes time. No need to be messaging each time a kid is Sad worrying the parent simply because you can't or don't know how to do your job. 3- if the daycare opens at 6:30, then all teachers should be there 5-10 mins before. More often than not, the teacher was exiting her car and walking in as I was doing the same. Clearly the teacher was not ready to start her day. In multiple occasions I had to leave my kid with an older class teacher because her own teacher was running behind. I will not be recommending this place to anyone.

Disclaimer: I am the "over protective" mama that does the endless research, tours a dozen…read morefacilities, and asks a million questions before choosing a program to put my kids in. I LOVE LITTLE ORCHARD KAYSVILLE! Just by meeting the program director (Michelle Paez) you get a sense of the high standard Little Orchard PreSchool is held to. My 3.5 y/o has a speech delay, mild sensory sensitivity, and severe separation anxiety. Ms. Michelle reassured me that the staff are prepared to help kids with any transitioning difficulties they may experience. They are INCREDIBLY empathetic and patient with each student, my son actually hung out with Ms. Michelle his first 2 days of school and once he felt safe with her; she helped him transition into the classroom without her. The level of compassion and respect they give to our kids is outstanding. Other things I found note worthy... - CLEAN: The facility has a modern and updated interior. The layout is simple and very clean/organized. - STRUCTURED PROGRAM: The program is Montessori based and is very much routined and structured. They have a set daily schedule and implement early education skills (reading, writing, etc.) - GREAT COMMUNICATION: The program director is the bridge of communication between you/your kids and the teachers. This makes communicating thoughts and concerns consistent and easy! If I have a concern about my son, I can just call, text, or email Ms. Michelle and she does the rest. I decided to write this review bc last week I noticed a bruise on my son's face on a day he had school. I reached out to Ms. Michelle and asked if she could check in with his teachers and see if he had an accident or hurt himself. She called me and said that she had talked to all of staff that interacted with my son AND she personally reviewed footage from his school day to make sure there weren't any incidents where he could have been hurt. I just felt very impressed with the level of safety precautions and immediate communication to re-iterate that our children's safety is their top priority. - COMMUNITY: There are activities that families can participate in that make it fun easy to interact with the school community. - PROCARE APP: Little Orchard has a smartphone app where you can sign in/out your child from school, get personal updates from teachers, get pictures/summaries of activities the kids are doing in real time, update personal information, pay tuition, direct message the staff, etc. The app is user friendly, easy to navigate, and makes it easy to never miss an update! Long story short; if you want a community that will enable your kids to thrive socially, emotionally, physically, and academically, CHOOSE LITTLE ORCHARD!

The staff is wonderful and patient. The school is clean and inviting. We really love this preschool!read more

My Eldest child is on the Autism Spectrum, and Miss Jolynne made it possible for me to mainstream my daughter in pre-school. Every day, I wish that Miss Jolynne were a teacher in the public school system! Of all the grade-school teachers my daughter has had, Miss Jolynne has been the one that has best cared for my special-needs child. There was a lot of genlte-encouragement, on Miss Jolynne's part. And at the end of two years, Miss Jolynne had prepared my daughter to enter Kindergarten. My middle child is finishing up her second year at Start Smart Preschool. Middle child is pretty typical, and she has done very well at Start Smart too. I feel like she's ahead of the game, thanks to the tactics Miss Jolynne emlploys. Miss Jolynne uses a lot of repetition to help the kids learn the alphabet, and the corresponding sounds that each letter makes. There are different "Units" that are focused on each month, like: number units, color units, weather units, and so on... The age-appropriate academia is perfectly balanced with Social/"Fun" time too. The kids get free-play. And Miss Jolynne plans excellent field trips. Also, the kids participate in Pre-school programs, twice a year! Another "edge" that Start Smart Preschool has over other, local, preschools is that it is 2.5 hours long; as opposed to the usual 2 hours. The 3-year-old class meets Tuesdays, and Thursdays from 12:15PM-2:45PM. And the 4 year old class meets Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursdays from 9AM-11:30AM. I think that having preschool consecutive days is genius! It helps the kids get used to going going to school several days in a row. I haven't found another preschool that better preps children to enter Kindergarten, than Smart Start does. Start Smart Preschool's enrollment period starts at the beginning of January, for the following academic year. And believe me, this preschool is "in demand" so, get your precious little-one signed up as soon as registration opens up.
