Lincare has repeatedly been successfully sued numerous times for tens of millions of dollars for fraud, malpractice and cyber security negligence. According to the DOJ, they have made false claims, bilking seniors and Medicare which has resulted in a $5,250,000.00 fine. Additionally, they have 773 BBB complaints lodged against them in the last year. It is no wonder why they score about 1.5 stars on every reputable review webpage. My personal experience with them reflects the terrible reputation that they have earned. How is it possible that you have sent me, senior citizen, to these known wolves?
To begin, my Willowbrook Lincare appointment was about two weeks delayed according to Tequila, because your office sent them an incomplete fax transmission, so they just sat on it for a few weeks apparently waiting for something to self correct. A fuller understanding of their ineptitude emerged as I experienced the respiratory therapist's introduction to the new ResMed11, which had only a large N20 Airfit mask ready to be attached. THERE WERE NO FACIAL MEASUREMENTS TAKEN. THERE WERE NO ALTERNATIVE MASKS AVAILABLE. NO LEAK TEST PERFORMED.
On the first night's trial, it was not a surprise to see an unsatisfactory 42L/H score. My older Resmed10 gave me an average score of 12.3L/H which is three and a half times better than what I had just purchased. Linecare's careless fitting was negligent malpractice because there were no other proper size masks available, Evidently the decision was made to simply push out the door what they happen to have in inventory and send the bill to Medicare, as seen in numerous lawsuits filed.
The fraud and frustration part of my complaint comes as a result of the pure disregard and negligence on the part of Lincare. I had called Tequila within a few days, requesting that they give me a medium N20 Airtouch mask because of my facial dimensions and that I have a beard IAW ResMed online instructions. She informed me that they haven't had medium masks for several weeks. She promised me to have this requested mask sent to my home free of charge when it became available.
Additionally, I talked with Lincare billing and we agreed that I would get the N20 Airtouch as part of the initial 30 day grace agreement. THEY SENT ME THE WRONG MASK, ALONG WITH ITEMS I DID NOT ORDER AND BILLED ME INAPPROPRIATELY. When questioned about this, they instructed me to resolve this issue with the local Lincare branch. The local branch has now claimed that I am past my 30 day window and that I have no recourse. They also have informed me that I cannot request a chin strap to reduce leakage. That evidently must come through your office, hopefully not yet to get lost again in the fax machine.
The secure data breach and lindcare's nine week delay in informing its customers is alone enough to want to flee. The above paragraphs only add credibility to the notion of flight. What I want is to replace these people in a way that will not disrupt my sleep therapy. read more
