Seems the left hand doesn't know what the right hand is doing here. Customer service is abysmal. Billing doesn't seem to know how to maintain user accounts. I have been suddenly disconnected multiple times while on the phone with customer representatives. Talking with multiple representatives yields very different experiences, from reasonably professional to unprofessionally informal and disorganized. No single source of truth in how this place operates or handles accounts. Very frustrated dealing with this chaos. Their website (portal) is of no help if your account is not current, and your account likely isn't current due to the ineptitude of their broken system. Avoid this company at all costs. read more

I made an initial appt in Willowbrook, IL for early June 2024, went there and they didn't seem to have any record of an appt. 5 min after we began talking someone else showed up which they did find an appt for. We spent a few more minutes talking, when I left I believed that they had me all set for follow-up services, ...wrong. I expected to hear from them around Labor Day, I've not heard from them since June. I've tried calling Willowbrook at least once each week for the past 6 weeks, never have gotten through, usually get bounced to a call center, and have always been on hold for at least 14 minutes, sometimes 30 minutes. It seems that I am still not in their system, and it seems the only way for me to get in is to talk to someone in Willowbrook. This is the most pathetic company I've ever dealt with. I am done with Lincare. I've suffered through their acquisition of American Home-which had great customer service. What a nightmare that was. How many times can you blame "merging our systems?" Doesn't matter to me. This month Dec 2024 broke the camels back. I won't go into details but I will say that a mask and pillows caused an infection that had be addressed immediately. No calls back from anyone in the Baltimore office. Just more calls from the fulfillment office saying your supplies are ready. I have switched to an out of network provider with 4.9 stars and 2.7 miles from my house. I really don't care about the extra money it will cost. I now have confidence that when I need supplies or have an issue, a competent and engaged provider will be there for me. If you can afford it find another supplier. I was hesitant when my doctor set up the appointment with Lincare once I read the reviews about the place. I ran a little late for my appointment and the service was nothing short of excellent. James took care of me and was informative, helpful, patient, and personable. I felt comfortable to ask questions and was not rushed. The office itself could use a spruce up but purely cosmetic. Having sent my profile back to them in the summer they had no record of me; wouldn't let me sign in to the portal; put me on hold and lost me and wasted my time. My husband has been trying to use them but they are not helpful at all. They sent a packet to sign up and he sent it back and no one called him to say it was all set up plus they had the wrong insurance information even tho he gave it several times. Sent the wrong hose for the C-pap. He went there to return it and they did not have the correct one so they said would be in next week. Never sent it! He called them again and when you call you don't get that office directly its a 800#. Still no hose and he was very unhappy with the service and they said a manager would call him, but surprise no one called because they don't care . DO NOT WORK WITH THEM. If I could it would be zero stars. I wanted to move my BiPAP supplies out of my current provider. This so called company is in network with my provider. I called and made an appointment to come in. 1. They tried to sell me the wrong size mask and told me that the size I needed was special order. They tried to sell me a small I need a large. 2. They tried to sell me the wrong size pillow for that mask. I use a medium they tried selling me a small. 3. After I left without purchasing anything I was told that their warehouse wouldn't send me any supplies unless I went and physically bought something from the local supplier. This was the local supplier that tried to sell me all the wrong stuff. 4. They kept saying my medical provider wasn't faxing over the right paperwork. In fact they did send all the right documents multiple times. 5. The so called knowledgeable person selling me the wrong items left the room multiple times to talk to her manager. For what I'm still trying to figure that out. 6. At this point I told them I wouldn't be using their services and left. 7. I got a call from my medical provider letting me that they had contacted them asking for my Dr to sign paperwork. I let my medical provider know that I did not establish any relationship with Lincare and to not send them over any more of my medical information. Stay away from this place. read more

Got a "Free" wheelchair promised with "no cost to you" this was a straight up lie! Charged a monthly rental fee. When I noticed I was being billed,I called them & I spent over an hour on hold & I ask to return the chair, because they did not tell the truth when it was ordered. Now I'm having them pick the chair back up for a return, they once again "PROMISED" (multiple times) that they would be by 1st thing in the morning, that to was a lie! No one ever came, the phone response was that they knew nothing about it and had nothing on their schedule for a pickup. Would give ZERO stars, but Yelp wouldn't let me. Go somewhere else for your medical needs. They are so unorganized and useless! They never follow thru on supplies they promise will be mailed to you "next week." The only time you're talking to an actual local human being is when they're trying to collect money from you. Otherwise, you're on the phone FOREVER and once someone picks up, it's not the person in the local office you asked to speak to, it's someone in a call center in India. Going to get our medical supplies from a different company from now on. Save your time and trouble. Don't do business with them and use an online store where you can buy the supplies directly or a physical medical supply store you can go to and buy directly from. Lincare is getting paid to be the middle person and they don't even do a good job of it. We only started to use them bc our doctor put the initial order through them. STRIKE 3. Spent yet ANOTHER hour dealing with this company where they tried to rip me off $40 a month for a loaner CPAP machine while the one I had -- not even a year old, & not even legally *mine* - as in OWNED by me -- was in the shop, broken. The rule with this company & my insurance is -- when you get a new CPAP machine, it is "rent-to-own" for 1 year. I got my machine in January. It's now October. That's less than a year. After speaking with my insurance, an agent told me that getting a machine as a rental while mine is being repaired is completely covered by my insurance as I do not yet OWN the machine that is in repair. So, I called back Lincare & told the manager this & she gladly scheduled me to come in & get the loaner. SERIOUSLY?! So back the truck up a minute. Let's assess this. This company, from my VAST experience, routinely does business like this & STAYS in business. How the actual ... ? How many OTHER Medicare/Medicaid combined insurance (BCBS MMAI) SSDI (Disability) recipients like myself have they outright *screwed* out of $40 a month with a rental fee? I made it abundantly clear that the machine was under warranty. I made it clear that I only had it since January. Surely they MUST know that the machine is not owned until 1 year & is still in "rent-to-own" status -- which is fully covered by my insurance. How many patients like me, on disability -- not ABLE to afford $40 a month had to live without their CPAP machine while it was being repaired? If it weren't for the fact that my old machine still (barely) works -- I'd be without ANY CPAP therapy! I'd be forced to suffer for well-over a month (so far) with dangerous apnea while my new machine - not even a year old -- is gathering dust on a shelf somewhere in the Land of Backlog at the ResMed repair center! I have been sleeping like utter garbage currently on my old machine. This old machine is well-over a *decade* old. Because it doesn't work properly, it routinely stops blowing in the middle of my sleeping -- either from my having a lengthy apnea event & its sensors think that there's no one attached to it trying to sleep -- OR because it's ancient for a CPAP machine & its sensors malfunction & shut the machine off. It also has a broken hinge on the humidifier tank door to the point it falls off when you open the latch & I have to put it back in the hinge and snap it shut to get it to seal properly. I've told Lincare's respiratory department manager these issues with my old CPAP machine & the lack of restful sleep I have been suffering with for over a month & she said [paraphrased], "Well you said you have a machine so we didn't offer you one -- & if you need a loaner, it would cost you $40 a month." How important is it REALLY for them to actually provide TREATMENT for patients with sleep apnea & ensuring we get proper & restful sleep instead of chasing the almighty dollar? Apparently that's not their #1 priority since I had to do their job - yet *again* FOR them by calling my insurance & disputing their $40 a month fee on a rental. Seriously. Is that $40 a month rental-fee really more important to them & worth risking the health of patients with apnea who literally CANNOT sleep without their CPAP machine? Apparently, it is, because the manager in the CPAP department wouldn't budge an inch on it or even OFFER to contact & verify with my insurance for any sort of clarification. My insurance card literally reads at the bottom: PATIENT CANNOT BE BILLED. The CPAP department manager only budged when I had a representative from BCBS MMAI call her *directly* & clarify that the loaner would be fully covered. THEN this manager's tone changed entirely when I called back & she scheduled for me to come in & pick up the loaner this coming week. Well la-dee-freaking-da. This company needs a COMPLETE & UTTER restructuring of their company's ethics & a more thoroughly trained or a separate team devoted to verifying what is & is not covered through a patient's insurance. How Lincare stays in business is a mystery to me. This is now the THIRD time I've had to do their job for them & this is absolutely abhorrent patient relations. THEY need to do the insurance leg-work -- not force the patient, out of frustration with them -- to call their insurance to verify that I am indeed being lied-to because they're too lazy to check themselves -- or are too motivated to make an extra $40 a month charging a fee to a SSDI recipient! Why am *I* having to spend an hour on the phone between both THEM *&* my insurance? That is their job. Not mine. Three strikes, & you're out. As soon as I receive back my machine -- & OWN it, come January -- I do believe I will be looking to transfer my durable medical supply needs to another company. read more

This review appears to be counter to the trend here. My CPAP office originally was in Elk Grove. Apparently, they moved equipment to Willow Brook last year. They have always been a busy office. However, I have to say, I've been well taken care of over the last six years. I have ordered supplies from them without trouble. When I had to send my CPAP in for repair they gave me the new model without charge saying it wouldn't be a quick wait. No worries. I had a tough time contacting the Willow Brook office during their move. Since I had a machine, didn't care much. Got ahold of them finally and they drove the machine to my house that day. Because of my wait, they ate the $185 repair. I was floored. Turns out, the factory repair didn't fix the root problem (whistling). So, they FEDEX-d the loaner right back to me in a day. Keep it. No charge. Again, I was floored. It looked like I was going to need to purchase a new machine up to this point. No longer. Happy with this machine! I wish I wasn't the only story like this. I know keeping patient and respectful helped my cause. I have never had anything less than urgent concern for my health with the folks in these offices. Bravo to them! read more

Just a complete rip off experience is how I would describe this company. I use a C-Pap machine and originally bought the machine from them and the ongoing supplies. It didn't take long for me to realize what ridiculous prices they charge to the insurance companies and my co-pays ended up being higher than the total cost of the same items online, without any insurance at all. You can buy the same name brand stuff on line for far less than they charge and get some customer service to go with it, something that is pretty much nonexistent with Lincare. So forget Lincare and just do what I did. read more

I would not use this company if I didn't have to. On 9/2/2020 I ordered my husbands enteral formula. I got a kids formula that I cannot use even in an emergency. I called Lincare's no customer service number and got the usual "We can't help you till Tuesday." and "Call your doctor". Now, what is his doctor going to tell me. His doctor can't help me. My husband's tube feed formula is his only source of nutrition. Now I have to go to the local medical pharmacy's to see if I can buy a box to tide him over till these numbskulls get off their collective butts to fix the problem. I have been dealing with one form of mess up from these people for the last three years and if my husband weren't on Medicaid I would have fired them a long time ago. Normally I receive good customer service, but today's interaction could be life threatening. I'm traveling on Monday with my husband who is on oxygen and yesterday his portable tank started acting up. They blew me off by telling me they would try to find a unit for us to use and wound call me before closing. Go figure, no call. So other than canceling our trip, we're going to fly and pray he receives enough oxygen for the trip. I'll try to work it out once we get there I guess. I would also assign a zero if possible specifically for the Willowbrook office. The fulfillment people in other locations are very nice. I have been experiencing Issues with leakage of the new mask I received at the beginning of July. The respiratory representative told me she would have an alternate mask sent and the monthly filter replacement on August 3. I informed her I needed to try to remain one position holding the mask in place. It is now 8/14 and I now need to call again on Monday. What a joke of a company! It is now June 1st. I was transferred to Lincare on Jan. 1st. due to an insurance company change. OMG do I miss my old company! I have a CPAP machine that I haven't gotten new supplies for since last September - 8 months! I can't seem to get through to a receptionist, they don't call me back when I leave a message. They make appointments very far out and never call with a reminder. If you miss an appointment, they don't try to reschedule. I had lots of issues just getting them to get my referral from my doctor, which they claimed to have faxed in multiple times. Then it was the sleep study that they didn't seem to be receiving. Then they had all of that, and they said they didn't have my phone number, so they couldn't call me back. Why didn't they call to ask my doctor's office for it???
