They transfer you to call center after call center and when you finally do reach an operator they're from another company that is obviously not in America. They are hard to understand. They take your info but never call back. I've had to go to the office on Park St. in West Spfld. twice To finally make an appointment so I can get a new cpap machine because mine is giving me alerts saying the motor has reached the end of its life and call the company that never calls you back. Everything about J & L Medical and Lincare is HORRIBLE. The customer service and billing are horrific. The respiratory people could care less. I sleep with a CPAP, and I suffered with this company for years, but years ago when it was time for a new CPAP machine, I asked my doctor to please refer me to another company. She referred me to a small local company, and they were great in every respect. Sadly, within a couple of years, they were purchased by the J & L Medical part of Lincare , so now back to this horrible company. Recently. I was having some issues with my nasal pillows, and they suggested that I use a different type with gel pillows. I waited two months and got my new headgear and pillows, but when I went to use it, I found out they do not have XS pillows for this headgear - and anything larger than XS is too big for me which is in my medical record, so what they sent is useless. They refuse to take it back and refund my purchase price, even though it is their mistake selling me something which did not have my size! I am so utterly digusted with them. If you can find another company, avoid this one! I am going to contact my doctor and see if there is any alternative company. read more

If I could give negative bagillion I would When you require oxygen supplies and tanks to leave your house and they never deliver on time or at all. Lies. By the time y'all send out supplies will the patients be alive ? Past 5 years or so orders for tanks / supplies are not delivered on time or at all I received 6 tanks last week ( not on my delivery day ) that were empty . Since Tuesday I have been trying to rectify the issues . Additionally I ordered tanks for this week Thursday delivery . Got a call they would be here on Friday it's 10:30 at night Friday . I had plans ( I'm stuck in my house with out them) . Let's go back to 2019 I was supposed to receive tanks on that Thursday May 16 . So I could go be with my dad who was in hospice care . He died the next day . I did not get to say goodbye or spend time with him because of y'all. ( the office knew this at the time). Am I less of a person? / Just a number? Yes this vest is awesome for someone who needs it ( will they actually get it? )Should I take to the internet and ask how many have the same issues with their medical supplies not being delivered? I brought my CPAP machine to this office on 4/7/22. The incompetent staff never shipped it to the main office until 5/12/22. It's now early July and I still have not received my machine back. I have Chronic Obstructive Pulmonary Disease. My medical equipment is necessary to keep me out of the hospital; I have been without for six days, despite the promise of an overnight delivery. Despite daily - at least - phone calls, nothing happens. The promised return calls don't happen. Ever. Meanwhile, I am extremely uncomfortable and my rescue inhaler comes into play entirely too often. I was asked to have my Personal Care Physician fax over new prescriptions, which she did the same day I requested. During today's call I was informed that I needed the prescriptions renewed. Both prescriptions should have been received, and I expect that they were. My PCP confirms this. Never, after a lifetime of managing my pulmonary problems, have I dealt with such an unresponsive, disinterested company. The fact that they have the Medicare contract for this area holds us hostage. Been with Lin Care for few years and had some minor problems but nothing to write about. But since mid last year they have gotten so bad! The delivery sucks and people in the office suck big time! Sorry for the wording. They missed my delivery many times but 3 days today is enough. When I call and they always tell me they had an emergency and keep forgetting me. Being trapped at home for 3 days until they deliver isn't fun.. When I leave messages with answering service which the do deliver the office people they never return my call. They're so rude and they make me feel I'm a bother. I really don't think they know what their doing. I'm still waiting for them to help me get my portable oxygen concentrator through my insurance co. but they keep telling me my dr isn't sending to right papers or they're not receiving anything from my dr. I know they are because my dr tells me. This has been ongoing and they never let me know until I get through to them after a zillion tries.. Something needs to be done. I received a call at 10 am that my CPAP parts are finally ready. The instructions were to call back to arrange a pick up. Ive called every half hour for past 8 hours to arrange the pick up. Only able to get the answering service each time. Went down to office and no way to see anybody without a prior arrangement. The days keep going by where I have a leaking mask and am not getting proper sleep. Kills me to know that the parts are there but no one will take my call so I can pick them up. This place is awful. Took me almost two months to finally get the right gear after they sent me the wrong stuff after almost two months then. Cannot reach anyone, complaint e-mails to almost every person in the company without a response. How is this company still solvent? I also saw what they were trying to bill my insurance company: $544 for a mask that everywhere on-line was $140-160. I realize that will never get paid, but why bother with a "charge" amount? I had been trying for months to get supplies for my cpap. I repeatly called lincare to get them. Either their computers were down or no one was there to take my order, but they would always "call back". They never did. I finally got so sick off having duct taped parts that I just ordered online without my insurance. Lincare overcharges so much that the price difference was negligible. I believe that the only reason they are able to stay in business is because they have the exclusive medicare contract for this area. Incredibly poor and outright dishonest in my dealings with them. On the day I was scheduled for discharge from rehab following my leg amputation they showed up there with a used wheelchair with no leg rests. Fortunately, my case worker could tell that it wasn't a new chair and called them immediately. They told her that there was "a problem with their supplier" and that they would deliver a new chair to my home the next day. That excuse went on for three weeks until they called with a delivery date of the next day. No delivery and when we called them the excuse was that the driver "didn't have room on the truck." The next day my wife went to their location and finally got a chair. read more

This branch of lincare was surprisingly helpful and quick compared to the lee lincare. Lee over booked themselves and there was no one working. After two months, the bipap prescription was sent to west springfield and was completed within a week. The front desk lady was helpful. The general wait wasn't bad. Maybe 15 minutes due to them being busy. The therapist that took me in (carmela) was very nice and helpful to my mother & I. She explained clearly how to use the bipap. read more

I have had terrible service from this company. My late wife needed a humidifier for her trach; the machine they delivered was so loud it was unusable overnight when she needed to use it. It was like sleeping right next to an idling semi-truck. They offered a replacement, which was the same brand and also ran at the same 70 decibels... a level that OSHA says causes hearing loss. After my wife's passing, I called them multiple times to pick up the equipment without success. I even called the so-called "I Care" line at their Florida headquarters, which should be called their "Don't Care" hotline. Over a month later, the equipment still hasn't been picked up despite several assurances. This company, quite literally, has the worst customer service experience I have ever had to deal with. Even the people at the hospice/VNA warned me about them and said to avoid them if at all possible. The Florida BBB listing gives the corporation a rating of 1 out of 5, and that tells you something. read more

This is the worst company to do business with! Lincare called shortly after they received my prescription for a CPAP machine. After 5 weeks of waiting and calling (and not receiving a call back) my hospital finally had to call and ask what happened. I tried to file a complaint with MEdicare but that would involve waiting on the phone 1/2 or more to reach an operator. Someone should really take a look at how this horrible company was provided the medical contract for medicare in our valley. They have staff members who appear overwhelmed and are abrasive. They have little knowledge on medical equipment. They do not stock basic supplies which they need on a daily basis which really raises injury risk when a patient is discharged home with a walker and Lincare takes 6 weeks to deliver. The West Springfield, Massachusetts office required a phone menu six layers deep followed by a ten minute wait only to be booted to a second department and another wait. Upon receiving a live [?] person, I was transferred to an office in Florida who told me they can not replace the prescription for a smoking ResMed S9 CPAP machine without first having seen an MD for renewal. The only reason I am giving two stars is the lady helped to process paper work for my dad. He was promised for several weeks for his walker . I had called and asked if I could pick it up myself they said the paper work was too time consuming to pick it up . Again on delivery day lincare cancelled no delivery man called in sick . I personally went down to inquire for an earlier delivery. At least 4 persons walked by the customer window without any acknowledging me. I waited several minutes before a lady came over. Unfortunately they seem to be the only ones in the area with a Medicare contract. I don't know if they are overly busy, but they don't get back to you with questions/information. It takes forever to get anything through them. If you are missing information, they won't tell you or the doctor - they just hold the paperwork and wait. Dealing with this company has been an absolute disaster from day 1 for my family. My parents are elderly had have never had to navigate the medical supply system until my father fell ill. All they have had from this company are harassing phone calls, demands for credit card information over the phone, threats from Lincare's offices to call the police and send them to the house on Lincare's behalf on a report of stolen equipment when my parents were NEVER BILLED with a mailed invoice. It was only after my husband who has been in customer service for 30 years called and complained very strenuously that it was explained that an online account had to be established for billing. WHY was this not made clear at the get go? Even after the online account was established, NO PAYMENTS were ever recorded, NO invoices ever sent as promised and now they have my parents credit card information. They actually sent a person to my parents house (my father is very ill with advanced multiple myeloma) to try to take back the equipment and they cased the house, wandering around outside when he refused to answer the door. I'm sorry, but I cannot recommend a medical supply company which uses intimidation tactics to frighten the elderly into cooperating with terrible business practices and does NOTHING to help address their concerns. read more
