Nice picnic table, clean grill and level site.

Great campground. Well-maintained and clean campsites. Very friendly staff at check-in. Glad we found this place and would stay here again.

A disheveled mess, this KOA needs some serious TLC. If they mowed, widened these miserably tiny and muddy camp spots, repaired and cleaned the laundry, followed through with the pancake breakfast thing (not available on my night's stay), & kept the office/store open, this would be an alright place. Consider staying at the nearby Pilot. It's loud like this place but at least they act like they want your business

Our experience at this KOA was fine. We just stayed one night as we were traveling through on hwy 70. Called ahead around 5:00 on a Saturday night to reserve a spot. When we arrived the young man that checked us in was very efficient, quick and professional, explaining everything perfectly, very impressed. This campground has leveled sites on gravel, some small plots of dry grass (between sites) in need of mowing, but this park met our needs for the night. We did several loads if wash - machines worked great. We paid $42 with a KOA membership and frankly I was happy - the night before we had a overflow site in Kansas with no electric and it was a hot night without air. If you are in need of a place to call home for the night, this is perfectly fine. Swimming pool Laundry Dog run Playground Pancake breakfast $5 Horse corral Tetherball Mosquitoes - yep, bring some deet

    Barely room for the awnings.

First, let's start with the 1, maybe 2 shade trees. Looks like they tore out trees and have replanted some, but they are saplings at this point. They pack you in like sardines, and my son said the means restroom "looked like a set from a horror movie". Next, let's start with liabilities this RV Park has, I found 2. The first one is at the pool (which despite the advertisement as "heated" it is not). Looks as if there use to be a disabled lift they took out, but left these for huge bolts in the ground, that blend perfectly with the cement. Hurts to high heaven. The pool was so cold, even on an extremely hot day, that my kids lips went blue, and my oldest didn't last 30 minutes. Second is the ladies restroom. There's a ramp out but at the end, there's a 3-5" edge with zero warning. I spoke with one other ladies in the pool who also said she fell coming out, so it's not just me. Last, the lady in the front office was incredibly rude and hostile to me when I tried to point this out to her. I wanted to make sure they would do something about it so that someone doesn't get seriously injured at this park, but her words exactly were "It's never been a problem before" and "I will take that into consideration" all while rolling her eyes and basically dismissing me.

We've been traveling in our RV this summer and some campgrounds are not very nice. But this KOA in Limon Colorado is beautiful! The sites are wonderful! Nice and clean restroom/showers! Laundry room is not only clean but air conditioned! They have a fenced in playground for the kids and 2 dog runs! Beautiful park, will come again!

    Cabin space :)

This place was so accommodating and super sweet! The staff is so nice. We had their two largest cabins (one with two bunks and one with one bunk) and a pull through camper spot. They were able to put us all right next to one another and our family of five adults and nine kids had so much space. There is a really nice upgraded playground right near the cabins for the kids and we loved that it was fenced in and safe! The pool was awesome and they had a basketball hoop that our kids all enjoyed. Lots of shade and picnic spaces for everyone and there were tons of bunny rabbits around the cabins too. The cabins were clean and we were really impressed with how cozy and family friendly things were. We highly recommend this place, especially if you have kids! We will definitely be coming back again.

I'm going to let these pictures do the talking, don't stay here.

A little confusing on how to get to site and since there is no office no one to ask. If going through area and need to stop for the night I would stay here again.

He had three leashes and three very large dogs, and when I ran around the camper to find what the commotion was, I found him standing with his three big dogs who were attacking my 9-pound Havapoo. Her entire leg is bruised. I learned my lesson. Never assumed that people will control their dogs. This man shouted at me with the F word while he stood and watched his three large-breed dogs attack my little dog. Nobody should take three dogs on a leash if they are not capable of keeping the dogs from doing harm. Never again will I make that mistake. Lucy will stay in the truck during set up. I'll never stay there again.

Overall KOAs are a good place to stay but it definitely depends on location. For example Moab and Astoria. I can't say enough good things about those locations. Unfortunately strasburg will be one I tell people to avoid. Also it's about 35-40 mins outside of Denver so going into the city is a bit of a mission.

August 2-7, 2026 - Colorado Springs, CO…read more We spent five nights here and really enjoyed our stay. From the moment we arrived, we were impressed with how clean and well-maintained the campground was. Our site was spacious and had full hookups, and the campground offers a nice variety of amenities, including hiking trails, a visitor center, showers, laundry facilities, and even a game room. The setting is one of the best things about this campground. We were tucked right at the foot of Cheyenne Mountain and had a beautiful view of the city from our site. We also had several visits from mule deer during our stay, which was a fun bonus. And then there was my first-ever sighting of a scorpion! I wasn't necessarily hoping for that particular wildlife encounter, but it certainly made for a memorable camping experience. We enjoyed exploring the hiking trails, and I appreciated that the campground clearly identifies which trails are dog-friendly. Some trails allow dogs and others don't, but the information is clearly shown on the trail map and on the trail signage, so there was no guesswork involved. There is one thing I wish we had known before arriving. If you're visiting from out of state, there is an additional Colorado State Parks pass fee on top of your camping fee, ranging from $10-$17 per day. We weren't expecting that extra charge, so a little more communication about the pass requirement during the reservation process would have been helpful. We made our reservations many months ago, and from what I understand the park pass fee took effect in May of this year, so that might have been the issue. A "heads-up" email from the Parks system would have been appreciated. We also didn't realize that an annual Colorado State Parks pass was an option. Since we had another six-night reservation at a different Colorado State Park during our trip, purchasing the annual pass would have saved us money. That's definitely something I would recommend checking into if you're planning to visit multiple state parks. Overall, we had a wonderful five-night stay. The clean campground, spacious sites, great amenities, beautiful mountain setting, wildlife, and convenient hiking trails made this a favorite stop on our Colorado trip. We would definitely stay here again!

We didn't need it because the acoustics of the amphitheater were amazing. We had a harpist and the music carried beautifully. Their voices were clearly heard throughout the amphitheater. Our rainy day plan was the pavillion, which is lovely and amazingly well planned. This is a gorgeous place for a wedding. I can't believe I didn't mention the staff. They were so communicative and helpful. They were such a joy.
