Our house has a complicated driveway and parking situation which their crew was able to work around seamlessly. Our HOA had its own approval layer on top of the city permit, and Sun Vault Roofing helped us navigate a two-week back-and-forth over approved shingle colors (side salad: ridiculous that HOAs have this kind of bureaucracy). Despite the complications, Sun Vault Roofing kept us updated through every delay and milestone without us having to chase anyone down. That alone was worth the price difference. The crew showed up on time, worked two full days, and left the yard cleaner than they found it. The roof has now been through 2-3 major storms since installation, including the crazy hail in April and there is not a speck of damage. Everything looks sharp and clean. You can tell was done right all the way from the street. If you're getting multiple bids for a roof replacement in the Madison area, make sure Sun Vault Roofing is one of them. Just don't let the price be the reason you go somewhere else, if they are not the lowest. The quality they provide is worth it.

Starting with Dan Thelen, he provided all options and cost of product details. There were no surprises. The install crew I understand has been with Total Exteriors from the start. The day of my roof installation Zion and the install crew showed up well before the planned start time and rocked it out. Their attention to detail, teamwork and final cleanup was more than what I expected and exceeded the experience that I had 23 years ago with a previous roofing company. I told David this and asked not to use the standing mower but his guys used the standing mower anyway. The front of the house really cannot be done with the standing mower. David will no longer be doing anything in my yard.

The worst contractor I ever worked with. I would give them -5 if that is an option…read more I am looking for other Legacy Exteriors clients that have issues with them. Here is what has happened in the last six month of working with Legacy Exteriors. ALL FACTS, and FACTS ONLY. 1. Illegal contract without any start or complete dates listed, violates the ATCP110, WI Home Improvement Practices. 2. Over four months to build a sunroom that is supposed to take two to three weeks. 3. Multiple times of construction code violations and reworks. During the construction, there were multiple violations to construction codes, including wrong foundation, missing a point load, and violating fire code. 4. Out of courtesy and also wanting to get the project done, I agreed to move the existing shed so that they don't need to replace their sunroom's materials, which obviously will cost a lot more. But, they still refused to give me a schedule, even after I requested it multiple times. So, on Nov 1st, I gave them a reasonable timeline, which is confirmed by Middlton City Building Inspection Department; and notified them that if they were late again, I would hire someone else to complete the job and deduct the extra cost from the final payment for Legacy. Within a couple of hours, Legacy's owner called me and told me that he decided to put the project ON HOLD. Furthermore, he said he would file a lien. ---when the project was not even complete and there was still a safety concern. Now the issue is still there. I do not allow them to touch my shed any more, of course, after being threatened twice by Legacy's owner. Then Legacy's attorney sent me multiple letters, demanding the full payment, when the fire violation is stil there. 5. I requested Legacy multiple times to come to solve the sunroom material issue, all failed. Then I decided to cancel the contract per Wis. Adm. Code s. ATCP 110.07, as suggested by DATCP. And Legacy's response is, filed a lien against my property, knowingly that demanding full payment before the completion of a project violates the law Wis. Adm. Code s. ATCP 110.02. Yes, their attorney knows it violates the law, and still did it. The matter is not over, and I will continue to fight. If anyone still wants to do business with them, good luck. I am the example here.

Throughout the claims process there were a few bumps in the road with our insurance company but Nick was there helping walk us through each situation- never leaving us hanging. When it came to installing the new roof, Nick's crew not only did an amazing job but they were very thorough when it came to cleaning up each day. Our neighbors even popped by to comment on what a great job they had done! Our house now had a beautiful new roof but we weren't finished with Doyle Exteriors just yet. The gutters that were on the house originally were gross, outdated and you probably would have had to run them over with a tank to do any sort of damage to them. We decided they had to go and within the last few weeks, we had new gutters installed as well. It's amazing what a fresh roof and gutters can do to a house and none of it would have been possible without Nick and Doyle Exteriors help.
