After 6 months of seeing my "therapist" I got blindsided with a $500 bill for my 2025 sessions. I was never given a bill for the 2024 sessions or informed that it was covered by my insurance. My "therapist" was late to every session and I don't think I got a full 30 minute session ever. I've been with PCWNY for 15+ years and I'm so disappointed that I was bait and switched by this third party program that did nothing for my mental health other than make it worse.

They also said they didn't have another EKG to compare it to when I had another EKG done at Trinity Medical, so is this staff truly THAT lazy, incompetent and dense that they are unable to make a simple phone call to get those records? Now who knows what I face, let it be known that if this tumor gets any worse, Primary Care will be getting the blame. Truly have shown me how little they actually care about their patients. She was pushy to refer me to a dietician (I had had one for 3 years) who would show me insulin pumps as NP wanted me to get on one soon. She said she had only 3-4 patients Type 1 who did not have a pump. I asked what kind of glucose levels they had and she just said "high". Second visit she had a student who just reinforced everything she said to me, even if I challenged it. Next appt. (after 3 months) after 5 reminders of appt. they called tro change my appt. to earlier in the day of to have a shorter appt. as NP was leaving early to get married and would be gone 3 weeks for honeymoon. I asked if I could see Dr. Lippes as she was gone and practice gave me an appt. in 7 weeks stating he was not taking new patients. I took the appt. as was a way to see the doctor I originally had selected to see but was bluntly told "never can".

When she is with your all her focus is on you and the issues at hand. None of that talking to you while running out the door. Secondly, she doesn't over prescribe. And each medication is reviewed for effectiveness and dosage. But mostly l like her bed side manner. Extraordinary! So few doctors these days possess this extremely important part of patient care. You wonder why young people have problems? Send them to providers like this! There are steps providers take before adding drugs. Again, he's 19 and very healthy and just left his pediatric doctors. This is what can happen in just a few minutes in the office.

Just like last time, everything was ran efficiently and I was in and out in a timely manner. They did a wonderful job of numbing me up with lidocaine ... when I felt even a bit of anything and would make a wincing face, the attending nurse would notice my reaction and the doctor would give me more. I am such a wimp when it comes to physical pain at all, but it has been almost 7 hours since my procedure began, about 6 1/2 hours since the last shot of lidocaine, and I don't feel much at all. I followed their instructions and they gave me an ice pack to immediately put in my bra on the side of my outpatient procedure and I'm home. They will send to pathology to confirm I am ok and they scheduled me for a follow-up next week. I really love it here. I hope I don't have to come back here, of course, due to the main focus of this office ... but if I did, I would feel I was absolutely in the best hands, and these are warm and compassionate ladies working here, and I truly recommend this place if you find yourself in need of care for your "girls" ... you will be treated with dignity and respect and wonderful bedside manner!

After remaining on hold for nearly 15 minutes, I was greeted before asking to schedule an appointment with Dr. Felstead. I explained to the girl (I think her name was Michelle) that I needed to make an appointment but I would probably be considered a new patient. I have been out of state for the past few years trying to help a sick relative. She advised me that my account was inactive and placed me on hold. When she came back to the line, she tells me that in 2007 I told the staff I was going to be seeing a new doctor and they can no longer see me. I told her that was not the case. I explained that I moved to Texas to help family out and that I never transferred care or told their staff that I was doing so. I pleaded with her to try to schedule an appointment. After several minutes of pleading and arguing, she placed me on hold again to speak with the office manager. When she came back on the line she told me that I had 3 cancellations and per their policy, Dr. Felstead cannot see me. I explained that the "cancellations/reschedules" happened more than 5 years ago. She just kept repeating "that's our policy." I asked to speak with the office manager but was not allowed to speak to her. I asked if there was any way for them to ask Dr. Felstead if he would see me. She just kept telling me I broke their policy and would not be seen. When asked if Dr. Felstead could give me a referral to another PCP, she told me they won't refer to other PCP's. I ended the phone calls in tears-this was truly surprising and upsetting. And if I had been able to see the doctor, he would have told me my blood pressure is through the roof. I trust Dr. Felstead and value his medical opinion. It's so difficult to find a great doctor which is why I wanted a referral if I could not see him. My updated review only contains 2 stars because having a good doctor is not worth having to deal with a staff who's falling apart, arguing with patients and who lacks sympathy or compassion.

He always leaves us with a smile on our face and the medical advice and any necessary follow ups. Almost all the doctors at Primary Care are amazing, caring and thorough. They encourage you to call and ask for medical assistance and/or another appointment. They are kind and compassionate and I only had a problem with one resident, but that in no way sway my high opinion of the quality of their staff and doctors and their residence. My family and I have been through so many doctors over the years and until primary care of Western New York had forgotten that a compassionate bedside manner is an important part of healing and encouraging you to take your health seriously. The first thing that was done for me was a change in medication that significantly improved my symptoms. The second thing was a clarification of diagnosis. The previous doctor told me I had emphysema. My sister is dying of emphysema, and even though I did not have her symptoms, I was convinced this lay in store for me. Dr. Neu told me that while I do have COPD, I do not have emphysema and I can stop worrying about it. I am indebted to this practice.
