One of the best VSP providers around…read more I really enjoyed our experience with Aloha Family Optometry. Everyone was very kind, patient and welcoming. They handled my youngest child with a lot of patience and care and didn't even make us feel bad about it. They have a wide range of frames - they also had my preferred brand (ray ban). They also had a lot of nice options around lenses. I have super sensitive eyes and my prescription is thick. It was nice that I could get high index anti-glare lenses with protective anti-blue light coating. This is the bare minimum I need otherwise I can't drive at night. They also offer transitions on-top of that too, which was also cool. One of the best VSP supported options out there. The doctors were super nice and very thorough in the examination. To ensure that I'm providing an honest review, I do have to say that they offer you a lot of upsells around various types of tests. For me, I didn't mind it, because I have bad eyes and I want to make sure they are in good health. I usually opt-in for these additional services anyways (like retina imaging, et..). If you don't want these services, you can decline. I understand why they do it. It's partly to be helpful, but also, as a small practice, they are unable to process as many patients as large chains and are not able to spread their costs across a wider variety of locations and options. Therefore, they try to maximize revenue per patient to keep their practice running. Personally, I don't mind that and get it - and I like supporting small local businesses if I can. They are also not forceful or abrasive about it, which I appreciate. That would have been a turnoff for sure, but they are very nice about it. Finally, if you get your frames and lenses from here, they are under a 1 year warranty that's included in the price. So you can use your glasses worry free. For me, because glasses are so important in my daily life, I'm always worried about messing up new glasses so this helps a lot in giving me peace of mind to just use them! Made an appointment for a dry eye consultation to see if this office had any solutions for my…read moreblurry vision. The gal that answered the phone was incredibly nice and welcoming and advised the doctor would need to perform an eye exam first before discussing dry eye issues. This seemed reasonable so I went ahead and make the appointment. As part of the new patient paperwork there was a form to agree or decline retinal photos for $39. I declined and signed this form. We went through the whole eye exam process and I mentioned a few times to the doctor that I can see better at different times of the day depending on the amount of gunk my eye has in them and that this exam may not be accurate. He kept powering through the exam while making comments about me being Asian and telling me a story about an Asian person he knows. He also said my son is prone to poor eyesight because he has two Asian parents. By the way my son is only half Asian. Super awkward. He then took decided to take pictures of my retina (apparently) and identified a mole in the back of my eye that he said would never amount to an issue but he would like to bill my insurance so he could keep an eye on it. Basically he took the retinal photos I declined earlier. Upon leaving they had me sign a form stating I agreed to them billing my insurance about the mole. I signed it thinking it may be good to keep an eye on it I guess? I did not realize it was the retinal photos until a day later it occurred to me. He tricked me into taking the photos. He also told me I should come back after I get my dry eye treated for another eye exam so it could be more accurate. He gave me a recommendation for a procedure for dry eye procedure called lipiflow but did not actually know how to treat the issue himself. This office tricked me into coming in and wasting not only my time but also using up my once a year eye exam through insurance for an exam he knew would not be accurate. Now if I want another exam I will have to pay out of pocket. Do NOT come here, they just want to bill your insurance and do not know how to treat dry eye.

For me, it's always overwhelming to pick a new pair of sunglasses, but with her help, I chose a frame that I loved. The place is clean and bright with a lot of natural light coming in. I like that they sanitize the glasses because eww germs lol. They do have a nice selection of Gucci glasses and Ray-Bans for the whole family. I highly recommend coming here!
