I really enjoyed this place. I was here with a large group -- as in filling the entire place large. With that kind of challenge getting food out of kitchen I was extremely impressed. The tables started with Greek Spreads, Tomato Salad, Patzaria (roasted beets and Skordalia which was amazing), Kolokithi (paper thin zucchini, eggplant and kefalograviera cheese lightly fried which was amazing), Calamari, and Octopus (of which is not my favorite but I was impressed when I tried it here). For my entree I had a royal dorado fish which was a light main meal after indulging on the appetizers! Dessert was something I picked lightly at after being so filled up but the Loukoumades and Baklava were amazing. This with open access to the bar, great (but also not in your face) service, valet parking, and space enough around the tables and the general area so it did not feel cramped made for a wonderful lunch experience. read more

I've had two really great meals at Limani; the first was a dinner and the second was the lunchtime prix fixe, which is a complete bargain at $35 for a starter, a main, and dessert, given that the fish I ordered for lunch was only slightly smaller than the whole fish I had shared with my husband at dinner. Limani is pricey, but absolutely worth it if you are a lover of good seafood. Service is impeccable- albeit more attentive when we went for dinner- and the fish, which is on display, is very fresh. They have an extensive wine list, most of which is on the high side, but there are some well priced selections, especially if you stick with Greek wines. read more

What a great place to have an intimate dinner with coworkers for a farewell dinner. The host and servers were beyond accommodating and attentive. Also they didn't rush us out once we were done with our dinner. We ended up spending 6 hours on the table without being any rush or interruptions. Highly recommend this place. I had the opportunity to dine here thanks to a dear old friend's recommendation. I didn't realize that this establishment has been here for years (then again , I wasn't too savvy on quality seafood but with experience and spirit for adventure , my palate has expanded). From the beginning, the dining experience was quite superb, from the valet taking my car to being seated by the hostess where my friend was waiting, I had a good feeling I was in for some preemo seafood. Greeted by the waiter, a conversation was started and the introduction to the menu unfolded as if I was transported to Greece. All that was missing was the sound of the bouzouki to just season the experience (I could have sworn I heard it playing in the background music). Starting off with appetizers , octopus and calamari. It's a must. The Greeks are known for their cephalopods so I had to take a crack at it. When the appetizer plates arrived, the server meticulously placed a good serving in both of our plates and the first bite sealed the deal for the remainder of the evening. I could go home and be satisfied because that indeed, was the most tender octopus I have ever had (perhaps the best would be in Greece itself where the fishermen beat the octopus against the rocks to tenderize the meat). I had to close my eyes to really capture all of that texture and flavor. Next, my friend ordered the lemon potatoes and broccoli rabe to go with the Fagri fish and what a combination that was. Reunion with friends and we opted to meet early as many were coming from all over. We were a party of 7 and we all got the Prix Fix meal and there was a lot of food! You get four choices for $39. You can get lobster, lamb chops or octopus for a slight upcharge. Everything was delicious and the avglemono was so good, I wanted to lick the bowl. The calamari and the scallops were really good and the loup de mer was deboned and so yummy. A friend had the lamp chops and loved it. We finished off the evening with baklava, karidopita and sorbets, which were all really good. By the way, you get two pieces of baklava. I intended to save one but couldn't stop eating it and washed it down with a cappuccino. Definitely coming back the next time I am in town. Everything was great, Ms the wait time for food was average ( we came for lunch though, dinner is probably busier) Something important though, is that the lobster pasta is different if you order it as part of the three course lunch meal and is a smaller portion without the lobster shell compared to if you order it separately. Ordered the steak, Loup de Mer (Branzino), Limani sampler, Kolokithi (thin zucchini chips), Scallops, Lobster pasta, Cowboy steak, Spanakorizo (spinach with rice and garlic) and the half chicken. Everything tasted pretty great, the chicken was on the dry side and needed more seasoning. The many lemons that came with it couldn't really save the dish. Since our table sat in the two tables behind the front desk, we didn't really have a normal waiter, we had one of the managers (I'm assuming since he was the one in the suit) take care of my table. Ordered the Milopita (apple pastry), Ekmek (pistachio cake), Karidopita (walnut sponge cake with ice cream), and our party got a complementary yogurt dessert with honey and walnuts. The milopita was a bit dry, seems like they left it in the oven for too long, the Karidopita was probably the best one. The yogurt was thick and heavy, was not bad but it's not for everyone. I was just told of an experience my wife and her 2 close friends had at Limani on June 10th. They had not seen each other in a few months due the pandemic, and the restaurant restrictions. They were recommended to Limani, from other friends that had gone there on this past Mother's Day. So my wife brought them here, for lunch. The restaurant is decorated very nicely, not very crowded, what appeared to be a birthday party was going on in their private room. All looked great. We were seated, and soon after someone came over and asked "What do you want to drink sparkling water or regular water?" No greeting, and we felt we were botherinh him, one of her friends just requested regular water and 2 of us requested sparkling water. The sparkling water was dropped off, but not the regular. We had to find a server for the additional water and asked if we could order, but was told he was not the server and had to wait for Danny the server. Danny arrived and we had ordered: 1 dozen Oysters on the half shell and Fried Calamari as our appetizers And for lunch 1 Aged Ribeye Steak 1 Sliced Cod Fish, and my friend had seen on Yelp a picture of a Lobster Pasta dish that looked delicious. After the appetizers, the same person that dropped of the water, came by with our Aged Ribeye and tossed the plate on the table with 1/4 of the plate hanging off the table, and rushed away. My wife was shocked and said" Excuse me, its hanging off the table" He said oh, and opened a leaf of the table. We were all surprised about his service. Afterwards he delivered the Cod fish and the Lobster Pasta. Something didn't look right, we asked what is this? He said Lobster pasta. My friend showed him a picture that had been on Yelp that had a delicious looking plate ( Lobster head, pasta, and the tail) the reason why she ordered it. He said it's the same thing, the head and tail are only shells and were throw in the garbage. I think the presentation is half of the experience you have with food. Why are they paying $47, for this plate pictured. The total bill came out to $357.00 for lunch. A 20% tip fee was added to the check. We found out the other day, that they add on 20% tip fee for 5 or more people. So our question was why was it added, if there were only 3 customers? The person on the phone was unable to answer, and said if they come back they could do something for them. ( I'm thinking some kind of coupon) we said no thank you. Needless to say they will not be patronizing this establishment in the future, and not for the food or atmosphere, but for the rudeness of the service. Hopefully the owner will do something or all the money spent on the establishment will be wasted, due the treatment by his staff. Party of 5 dined here yesterday to celebrate our friend's 30th milestone birthday at 1pm. Yes, the seafood is amazing, the cocktails as well but I would like to address the following as why I put 4 stars now in lieu of 5: 1) we ordered the cocktails off the menu which is like the Margarita with fresh sliced jalapeños. It's refreshing. I asked our waiter, how do you pronounce the name of the cocktail. Waiter shrugged and said, I don't know. Nice! Well, it was go good- we ordered a total of 6 but it would've been nice to know what the cocktails were actually called. 2) there were so many fruit flies at the restaurant. We were shocked! Im shocked they don't take care of this issue ASAP especially at an establishment like this. Perhaps the huge display / stack of ripened tomatoes in the back attracts these insects..which we assume do not get removed every night bc the time it would take just to display all over again the next day would be time consuming. I'm also guessing they lay eggs! Yuck to fruit flies! 3) when the 2nd (unfriendly/ rude) waiter brought out our appetizers, he literally threw the plates in front of us like we were animals. We tried to be a good sport and not try to make a scene or ruin the moment! 4)my friend's pasta with lobster looked very pretty but when she tried it, she said the sauce was overly sweet. It always makes a dinner more enjoyable when you have 5 delicious women at the table with you. The drinks were on point and the blood-orange mojito's were flowing. Apps were fine and the octopus got a lot of buzz at the table (not my style). I played it safe with the lamb chop and it didn't disappoint. Service was a little slow but expected on a busy Saturday night. We paid the bill and when I came home I noticed they charged us for two extra lamb chops (that's $50 each dish). I'm thinking no problem. I will call them right away and they will take it off. Keep in mind we spent $3000!!! I've been calling for over a month now. Keep giving me the run around. Spoke to multiple managers and nothing! For a $100 they lost lots of valuable customers. I don't care how good your food is or how nice your restaurant is. I don't know why but I always expected Limani to be a rinky dink Mediterranean restaurant. I had never passed by the restaurant, so I didn't even know what the front looked like. Judgey Wudgey. Clearly, no expense was spared for décor. From the chandeliers to the chairs-everything is high quality. My friend and I were seated rather quickly in a quiet corner. We were served hummus and eggplant dips with fresh pita. My friend and I shared the octopus dish and the Kolokithi. The octopus was grilled very well. Not too chewy. Kolokithi is paper thin zucchini (lightly breaded and seasoned)served with eggplant and fried kefalograviera cheese. The zucchini was heavenly. One of the best things I ever ate. Seriously. A creamy tzatziki-type sauce was served on the side for dipping. Limani is heavy on the fish dishes. Almost every fish is prepared the same way-grilled and lightly seasoned. Some may say this is too simple but I think this is the perfect way to get the most out of a fish dish. You can taste the actual fish. The travesty! We got the black sea bass for 2 upon a recommendation from the waiter. The fish came to our table whole and someone cut it up for us. With a little spritz of lemon, the fish was perfect. Light but filling. We shared 2 sides as well: the lemon roasted potatoes and white (never saw that before!) and green asparagus. Again, notice how everything here is simple and fresh, but still delicious. We decided to sway away from typical Greek dessert and got the Chocolatina. What was supposed to be a warm chocolate soufflé served with roasted figs and fig ice cream was actually more of a molten lava cake. No complaints here but I just wish they would label it correctly. A soufflé is more light, puffy, airy and this was definitely not. Is it expensive? Yes, very. I'm not going to sugar coat it. We violate our car without weights upon arrival and were seated immediately. I like the fact that they still have the dividers up for Covid which makes your space seem a little more cozy. Absolutely beautiful interior and the ambience was fantastic the music was not too loud and they had a special Easter menu which a few in our party decided to get. I'm a huge octopus lover and this was so delicious. My entree was the dorado fish! OUTSTANDING! I was going to get the branzino but my waiter recommended this, more flavorful and meaty. He was so right. It was absolutely amazing. They gave me Horta on the side but I couldn't eat it. I love veggies more then anyone but this was inedible. I asked for spinach instead and they switched it no problem. Spinach and garlic tasted amazing with the fish! My boyfriend had the cowboy ribeye. He said it was okay, typical steak. He wished it was marinated. He also did not enjoy the French fries, they had no flavor. He wasn't overly impressed. I think this place is more for Greek and seafood lovers like myself. Not sure if it was the food or the waitstaff, however have now found out that about 30+ people that were at the party also got very sick. Maybe it was shared starters. This is my favorite place for a nice quiet dinner. Every dish I had here was spectacular! The service is great and the staff is very attentive. They run out of oysters is you go around dinner time but the food is always consistently good. read more
