The outdoor atmosphere was lovely, however the music indoors was extremely loud, too loud to converse freely, so we chose a table outside. The Greek salad and octopus appetizers were delicious, as was the swordfish entree, however the Branzino that I ordered was loaded with bones. When the manager stopped by our table and asked how we were enjoying our meal, I showed him the pile of tiny bones on my plate and all he did was apologize saying that he would let the chef know, he did not make any offer to compensate or make amends. As a manager, I expected a more professional response and as a customer, I expected my fish to be prepared properly and safely. I am so sorry but Limani fell short. read more

The food was excellent. Unfortunately it was barely warm when served. The waiter was inattentive and didn't wear a mask.Very poor service.

My wife and I went back to Limani's in Commack on Thursday 6/30/2022. Sat in the bar area for appetizers and drinks. The mussels and the Saganaki, both excellent. We decided then to share a dinner, so we ordered the Fagri fish for two. When it arrived, the piece of fish was a bit small for two people, they also had 2 small pieces of cauliflower, 2 small slices of potato's and 1 small piece of broccoli, this was to be shared by 2 people. I have to say be careful on spending $76.00 on a shared menu item. It was good but not worth the value. There are better choices from the dinner menu that is a better value. They also had a DJ in the bar area, music was very loud and the DJ lights were shining in my eyes. We will go back, if we sit in the bar we will make sure there is no live music otherwise we will ask to be seated in the main dinning room. read more

overpriced. Husbands pork chops over cooked. Tuna medium rare came rare s without cheese and bacon. Octopus family style had 5 pieces. Had to order another serving. Not coming back would not recommend. sorry. read more

Starting with the positive.. great atmosphere! Very good bartenders! Realizing that "good help right now is hard to find" then their prices should not be as high as they are until this issue is solved. Some staff is great but I saw a lot of upper management not walking around to check in with patrons. The portions are inadequate for the price, it's not as clean as it should be(crumbs in booths, silverware was dirty, table was a little dirty. I have been here 4 times and akready have seen a decline since they first opened. A great way to salvage a beautiful restaurant would be to make the portions a lot bigger, have a busboy that goes around and cleans constantly, have two managers checking in with patrons, and give more dip with the bread when you first walk in. read more

We were so excited to try out this new restaurant in Commack! The decor is really pretty especially in the bar area. We (a group of 8) we're seated in a small room at a long table. Interesting and pretty artwork on a screen behind our table and throughout the restaurant. Unfortunately they went to a black screen midway? Looked like a big tv screen service was good. Food ok. The applewood bacon app was undercooked and fatty. The guys said inedible. The Limani chips were expensive but delicious. Sesame feta app was really good too. My entree filet mignon kebabs were prepared incorrectly, well done when I asked for medium rare. That was disappointing. When I told the waiter he did not offer to correct the mistake. We will try one more time and hopefully our next visit will be better. read more

Great service. Delicious octopus. Very good sword fish kabobs. Enjoyed everything, except my Halibut was overcooked.

The restaurant is chic and pretty inside. But not overly elegant. The bar is beautiful. The food was really great. Loved everything we had (group of 8) the service was ok. The waiters brought many appetizer dishes out but forgot serving spoons. Asked for spoons and he brought two. My friends explained we were sharing asked for six spoons, the waiter laughed...six spoons? And he said we r sharing this we need six serving spoons.... Ok then dinner we ordered again a few different dishes to share. Again no spoons. Asked for spoons from another wait staff and brought out two spoons. We actually laughed. Again asked and finally got seven serving spoons. So we loved the food didn't love the service and thinking it's Bc they r new. Hoping for a better experience next time. I really love great service. BTW super reasonably priced and good place to go with kids. No need to dress up Went again last night for dinner. Quick comment: service was terrible. Our young waiter just had no clue. Didn't offer refills on drinks, didn't wait for all of us to order (! Bizarre) and lacked basic skills. Service was slow. Food was good except our bass (for 2) smelled was a little fishy and lacked flavor. BUT the bar is nice. Just hope they get service together. The bus waiters were very attentive. read more

We ordered the prixe fixe which is all day on a Sunday. It's great value. The tomato salad is amazing. The feta cheese is so creamy and the salad so fresh. The bread they bring out smells incredible and is delicious to mop up the salad lol. Next two people had the Branzino which came out just warm, as it tasted So good they had no interest in sending it back. I had the lamb and our friend had the chicken. The lamb was cooked well as the first time I went there it was over cooked. The chicken was delicious he said and there was so much of it. The lemon potatoes are delicious. For dessert the waiter explained that there was no walnut cake left for the evening but didn't offer an alternate to to he just said it would be a choice of the yogurt or sorbet. We said that was unacceptable not to offer a third choice as they didn't have the walnut cake so we asked him to ask the manager to add an alternative. He came back and said he would let us exchange for anything so two had the soufflé and two had the yogurt. The yogurt was INCREDIBLE even the people that had the soufflé said they would've rather had the yogurt. All in all a great restaurant. Can't wait to go back. Chris our waiter was very good and accommodating. read more

I made a reservation two weeks before the date I wanted. February 12th. The only times available were 5:30 and 9:30. I know why. Everything we ate was wonderful. We started with the lamb riblets, Keftides and the organic salmon tartare. All of the appetizers were delicious and shareable. The organic salmon tartare was very fresh. For drinks I had the spicy margarita. My husband had the Simera and my son had the Kyrios. Everyone loved their drinks. We had two each! For dinner I had the Halibut with Spanakorizo. The Halibut was grilled perfectly and pairs well with the spanakorizo. My son had the lamb shank in red wine sauce with orzo. He loved it. He was very impressed with how the lamb paired with the orzo. I was impressed that he noticed! My husband had the Japanese Wagyu Strip steak. It was pretty straightforward and he enjoyed. The focus of the food here is the freshness and quality. They're not hiding the food in alot of heavy sauces. We would've had dessert, but by the time we finished our meal, the place was packed. My husband and son had somewhere else to be and it looked like they were very busy. Next time. read more

Everything was very good. The food service and ambiance. Highly recommend it. Very similar to Kyma's in Roslyn. Good menu as well. Yea

My wife and I are planning to go back again. The decor, service, food, vibe and most important the people were just awesome. We were celebrating our wedding anniversary and had Greek spread for appetizers, the branzino and linguine with main lobster were fantastic! We are for sure having more of the Mojitos on our next visit. read more

I had a beautiful 3 course lunch today at Limani Grille. The food was excellent. Our waiter was wonderful. Sorry, I don't have his name. We complemented him and tipped him well. The crowd was very nice. Not too loud. Such a beautiful place inside. I highly recommend it. read more

Read a few reviews and wasn't sure if it was going to live up to the Limani restaurants in West, but I must say our food was outstanding. Our server Gabby was wonderful! Drinks were spot on! I am probably the only person I know that orders Ragus with a splash of cranberry and muddled mint and bartender made a fabulous drink for all of us especially myself! Lol halibut was cooked to perfection as was everyone else's dish. Good luck looking forward to returning soon! read more

I hosted my son's communion party at Limani Grill on 5/14/22. Everything was wonderful! The lunch was held in the pergola, which is the addition on the side of the restaurant. The room has a roof that opens as well as glass sliding doors all around. I was so happy that we were able to open it all up. John helped me plan the party, select the menu and was with us the day of the event. He was so accommodating and made the whole experience of planning the party easy. The food was absolutely delicious and all of my guests raved about the Bronzino. There was plenty of food. The waiters and waitresses were attentive and everything ran smoothly. Thank you so much to John, the service team and chefs for making my sons communion party amazing! read more

The other night my wife and I went to Limani Grille for dinner. We had a five o colck reservation. We had dined there many times before when it was the Bonwit. We were seated promptly and the waiter (Rob) was really nice and very attentive. We had salad and then the mussels in garlic butter for an appitizer that were "just good". My wife ordered the salmon (which was very good) while I ordered the Chicken breasts. They gave me two large chicken breasts with lemon potatoes that were delicious however I could only eat one. I had them wrap the other one to go. The food was very good and the portions were generous. The new place is beautiful but can be a little noisy. I was a little surprised however that after dinner we were not offered coffee or an after dinner beverage with desert as the place was not super busy. The prices were a little more than I expected but not out of line. After desert we got up and left. When I got outside I realized that I had forgotten my "To Go" bag. I turned around and went back inside to my table which was being cleaned and asked the bus boy what happened to my dinner to which he replied "We threw it out" I said REALLY? I didn't even get to my car yet. I had not been away from my table for more than two or three minutes. Usually someone would come after you to tell you that you forgot your package. I was extremely surprised that my to go bag was thrown out so FAST and I was really dissappointed because I was loooking forward to eating the other chicken breast again since it was so good. Since the busboy was so insistant that it was in the garbage, I will not return again. (and I liked the new place) The busboy just left me cold. The food however is delicious and for the most part the experience was good. Just not a happy ending to my first dinner experience at Limani Grille. read more

My husband and I have been here a few times since they've opened and each time the food and service is amazing. The manager John always remembers us and gives us a nice friendly welcome along with the rest of the staff. Last week when my husband and I came to dinner my husband had asked if it was possible to move tables and the manager John without hesitation told us give me a few mins. Within 5 mins he was taking our water glasses and taking us to a different table. He went above and beyond to accommodate us. This has now become our new favorite place for date night. read more

I am very very disappointed in customer service at limani grille. I made reservations with open table for 7 pm on may 30. We were to meet friends there. When we arrived the restaurant was closed. I have a screen shot of my reservation. I went in person the next day and, spoke to John who informed me he was the manager. He half heartedly apologized with no reason for the inconvenience. He stated the next time we came in we could have afterdinner drinks. I told him this was unacceptable since we don't order after dinner drinks . He said he would have to call corporate and get back to me when I suggested a small gift card of 25 dollars to make things right. As of now three days later , he has not gotten back to me and has ignored my calls . This is rude and unprofessional. read more

Extremely disappointing. We went for the price fixe lunch, $26 according to website with $10 extra for the 1-1/4lb lobster with linguini which was described as "Linguini, 1 1/4 lbs. Maine Lobster, fresh Tomato Sauce and Basil". When we got there, the price had been increased to $28.50 and $14 extra for the lobster entrée. The price fixe came with appetizer/soup or salad and desert. The soup was not hot and the Greek salad had no lettuce in it but an abundance of raw onions. The bronzino had a lot of bones and the vegetables were basically raw. The service was snobby and the floor was dirty. But by far the worst disappointment which does not actually seem like the right word, the word is "COMPLETE RIPOFF" was the lobster entrée. I had called the day before and they told me that you got a whole 1-1/4 lb lobster served in the shell alongside the linguini. Well, we got the shell, but no lobster. They place the empty lobster's body and tail on the plate but you could not see any lobster. At first we thought there was some mistake but then the waiter explained that the lobster was in the sauce. Problem was we couldn't see any...and this was supposed to be a full 1-1/4 lb lobster. We finally spotted a few tiny morsels of something that I'm guessing was lobster but when I tell you total it would have been equivalent of 1/8 of a lobster tail, I'm not exaggerating. It wouldn't surprise me if they recycle that empty lobster shell to customers over and over again while cooking frozen lobster tails and dividing one over 8 orders.. When I bellowed to the waiter to come over and complained, he said "You can't expect a whole lobster for that price." So then why did they say on the phone and on the menu that you got a whole fresh lobster? It's obvious there was no live lobster involved here. The sauce contained a few dried out shreds of lobster tail. When I started raising my voice and accusing them of a ripoff, the waiter offered to replace the dish. My dining companion got the salmon instead which arrived raw inside. We got out of there as fast as we could. Is this kind of mispresentation actually criminal or reportable to the department of consumer affairs? Needless to say, we will not be returning. read more

Holidays are always the worst days to try a new place, but we decided to try Limani Grille for NYE. Wow, am I glad we did! We went with our 2 little boys for an early dinner and it was FANTASTIC! The service was great, the food was outstanding, and we loved the way they renovated the old Bonwit (which I was sad to see close). They definitely sparkled and shined last night and I can't wait to go back! read more

Best restaurant in Commack! Johnny is a rockstar. The staff amazing, service phenomenal.. If you want a great atmosphere and food come here.

I have been to their Roslyn place a number of times since they opened and found it to be excellent. So the other day we went for a late Lunch to the Commack location and found it to be excellent as well. I usually order the whole fish (Dorado) and the fish, veggie's were great. Service was excellent as was the usual Walnut Cake. I would recommend this place especially if you are a Fish lover. By the way let me not forget they show their class by not charging fee's for using CREDIT CARDS. read more

Incredibly loud. So loud my iwatch warned of excessive decibel level! You can't hear the person across the table. Filled with tables very close together. So close, the staff constantly hit my chair walking past. One server hit me in the head with a wine glass walking past. Service just ok - long wait to order, get your drink, food etc. The food itself was OK. Won't run back here again... read more

Limani's lunch special is spectacular on so many levels! The service and ambiance are fantastic too!

After seeing negative reviews I was a little wary to go here for dinner but my expectations were beyond exceeded, especially for a Saturday night. Definitely on the pricier side but the food was great and I left feeling stuffed, not to mention our waitress was wonderful! I got the chicken kebabs and a side of spinach/rice pilaf and the side was huge (and delicious!) highly recommend checking it out if you're in the area. read more

Limani in Roslyn is one of my favorite restaurants on Long Island and a "go to" for gift cards to show sincere thanks. I was excited to hear that there is a Limani in Suffolk County and dined there tonite. It was the LOUDEST and most unpleasant dining experience ever. Although the appetizers including spanakopita and feta did not disappoint, the chicken souvla kebabs were so salty while the fries that accompanied these salinated chicken pieces were devoid of salt. The other members of my group felt their meals including the lamb chops and macaronia with kyma were "ok" while the branzino was delicious and moist. We did not stay for dessert as our eardrums were perforated by then. The only redeeming quality was the staff who tried their best to hear your orders and requests but had to lean in uncomfortably close to hear what you are saying. I would pass on the Commack location and go to Roslyn which will make the ride worth it. read more

Pleasantly surprised at all the work done to this place. My group of 5 were very happy with the service (Jimmy, our waiter for the evening), he was pleasant, polite, funny and accommodating. The food was very good and so were the drinks. For a Wednesday night at 6pm, there wasn't an empty table to be seen. I recommend going to this location, you won't be disappointed. read more

Horrible. We ordered take out and got 3 orders of chicken kebabs. When I ordered, I specifically said chicken well done. Well, when cutting into my chicken it was completely RAW and BRIGHT pink. When everyonr else checked theirs, it was also raw. Literally looked like it was not cooked at all. We called to tell them, and they told us to go there and bring it with us to show them. ( Like they didn't believe us or something) My husband took the raw chicken and got back in the car to go back. Upon getting there, he showed the manager the raw chicken. Her response was " that's not raw, that's how I eat my chicken." Disguisting!! No apology or anything. I was so grossed out that I did not want anything else from there, so my husband said we don't want a new meal, if we could just get refunded. Well, her response was " we don't give money back." For a high end place that charges a premium and this is how they act??? Will never be back, Im just glad I saw it before eating because that would of definitely resulted in food poisoning. read more

Place is pretty. Ordered the lobster spring rolls for $20. They were tasty, but they didn't seem to contain much lobster. Had the filet mignon shish kabobs. First 2 pieces were fine, third piece was inedible and I left it over. My girlfriend had the Branzino, she gave it a 5 out of 10. read more

I called this place to inquire about their Valentines day menu. The amateur on the phone first said there was a special menu @$95/person, then she mentioned you may be able to order from the regular menu also, so I said, "well could you please find out"? She put me on hold probably hoping I would just hang up, which I did after an extended hold time. There are plenty other places that are happy to take my money. This place is beautiful and the decor is fabulous. We were so excited to try out this new location. We ordered appetizers, drinks and entre for two. The sea bass for 2 came out after 45 min and we were really shocked with the portion size . Usually sea bass is a thick oily fish that you cut into like a steak. Our sea bass was fileted so thin . It looked like they took one portion and filet it into two. The taste was good but because it was so thin, it didn't taste like sea bass. The waitress asked how was everything and we told her about our disappointment. She got the manager and she came over and was very nice and apologized and told us she would talk to the chef. She didn't come back till after we ordered and had baklava for dessert. She asked how was the dessert and we said it was good and she said that's the best I can do. Basically she took the dessert off of the bill and didn't address the issue about the sea bass. The portion was not large enough for two. We left hungry. The waitress was attentive and very nice. read more

First time eating here was a pleasure. The food was very good, ordering from the Prix Fix menu allowed for a reasonably priced dinner out and the service was very good. The restaurant is an interesting physical space...it's a big place and not crowded with too many tables...a big plus. I realize floor space is precious to a restaurant and tables equate to revenue, but they've struck a very nice balance between the needs of the restaurant and the comfort of the diner, thank you for that. Depending on what vibe you are looking for, I would be aware that being seated at a table in the bar area can be noisy. We've only visited once so far so I cannot speak to the seating plan but there are 2 dining areas on the ground level (not sure if they serve upstairs like the previous restaurant had) and we sat in the bar area. It was louder than we'd have liked but certainly did not prevent us from enjoying our meal. We will definitely be returning. read more

Not nearly as good as their other Greek restaurants. The octopus salad was cut thick, tough and when they served it, it looked as though they just dumped it in the dish. The oily octopus was on top and the capers, onions etc was underneath so it wasn't even mixed through. My other appetizer was cold. Maybe their dinners are better than lunch but I will be going to Oniro and Limani from now on instead. read more
