I am conflicted on this one…read more.. Came in for a walk in. They told me to come back in an hour or so. Came back told them I wanted a dip manicure. The nail tech I had was named Ha. Didn't talk much but seemed like a very nice lady. What I did like a lot: she went back multiple times with the cuticle nipper. And she went under and around my nails with a small ball shaped drill bit. But as much as I appreciated the attention to my cuticle skin, she often went too hard and hurt me. I had 4 places on my hands bleeding by the end. She also put gel over my dip which is strange to me. I purposely get dip because it's stronger and I need it in my line of work. I also do not like the UV light on my hands. I asked her about it and she said it was normal to do. When I checked out, I asked that girl if they always put gel over dip and she said yes. I travel for a living and I've just never seen that, but maybe is regional? Either way I think it's something that should be asked. At the end of the day, my nails aren't terrible. They look all right from afar, but when you look close, they are lumpy and miss shaped and I have cuts all over. There's so many good reviews that I'm confused. Am I just one of the very unlucky few? Or maybe the bad reviews are just from specific nail techs? I don't know, but I just wanted to give my honest and fair assessment of my experience. (Also no music or anything playing. That's awkward for a nail salon.)

They will damage your nails for life.

I showed up without an appt on a weekend for a mani/pedi, and was seated right away. I waitied 5 minutes for someone to free up. She placed a liner in and filled the tub to soak my feet. Everything was very sanitary. The mani/pedi was utterly uneventful. The technician followed my instructions on the length of my nails. I was the only person on the dryer because they had small UV dryers for people at their stations for other types of nails. Four days later, and a lot of dishwashing since, and no chips. Everyone who came in was happy to see their tech, and caught up about kids, and school and that sort of thing. It was really a good experience. It is much more expensive than NYC, but I think that's true of nail services in the Boston area in general.

I do plan on going back only to see Kim or Khoi. I woke up today and I'm not sure what happened to my big toes. I have skin peeling that wasn't there before and my calluses on both of my big toes. Are this funny color extremely red and round this has never happened to me. So that's my only other concern. The atmosphere in the salon is great. It is super clean. Everyone seems to be friendly and the prices are reasonable again. I will be going again and I wish I got the two technicians names we saw because I wouldn't recommend them.

The place is pretty big and spacious and it was pretty quiet probably because it's the weekday too, the person who did my nails was pretty nice and quick and she did what I asked. It was just a simple French nail, but in a different style both service and in about an hour, they have options to pay like Venmo and Apple Pay if you use Venmo, I think you get a 10% off so that was a good plus I didn't know about it at first, but it's a good thing. I went in and they told me to put my name on a list. I was booked for a pedicure with Di Tran but I'm not quite sure if that was the person that did my pedicure. It was very basic. They didn't really dig for ingrown toenails and that's something I struggle with so it's something I'm really looking for. They did a great job shaping and they were really gentle with my feet. The classic pedicure that I received included light callus removal with a pumice stone, exfoliation, and a massage. No hot towels or anything outside of what I just listed. The technician did an amazing job shaping and painting. I'm in awe really!! I'd go back on the shaping and paint job alone.

I usually come here (on and off) because it's in close proximity to errands and such…read more $45 for a refill -- not sure where that price came from but I think it's a lot for a regular refill with plain color. In my opinion, they do their work quickly. I'm usually out of there in under an hour or an hour and a half. Sometimes two hours or so if I get a pedicure as well. The staff is pretty nice, I've never had issues with them. I think the make nail tech does designs but the other ladies don't. Be sure to let them know when you're booking your appointment. Try to ask for pricing over the phone and bring exact cash with your tip. They don't accept tips on cards, only in cash. If you forget the cash, they have ATM inside the salon. It's a $3.50 charge for the ATM. If you use your card to pay for service, it's a $3 fee which I thought is illegal but I'm not 100% sure. It is on a Main Street so you'll need to park in the lot on one of the one way streets. I've never had a problem parking there. I don't suggest parking at the CVS lot because you could get towed. Other than that, decent spot to go to if you need a fix me up here and there!
