Just a quick update because it's been a minute, and because I want to tell y'all that Urban Country…read moreFlower has always sold Dolly Parton-themed merch.. Long before she passed away, owners Tommy and David recognized and celebrated the joy of Dolly. T-shirts and tea-towels and buttons and more. Lot's of "Dolly for President!" stuff. Can you imagine what that'd be like? What a different, marvelous, magical fantasy. Two (of many) Dolly quotes I love: "Don't get so busy making a living that you forget to make a life," and "Find out who you are and do it on purpose." I know who I am, what I love, and what matters to me. A big part of that is my community and fabulous local businesses like this one. Gift-giving is my love language (not "gift receiving" -- get outta here with those 5 "love languages" from pastor Gary Chapman pushing traditional gender roles on us, boooo). Okay ANYWAY, flowers make me so happy. Tchotchkes and trinkets and small treasures bring me joy. The Jellycat brand, gourmet candies, seasonal snacks, holiday decor, supporting Tommy and David and his lovely staff -- all things I love that'll remain a constant in my life. Please shop here and find something precious that makes you think of someone precious in your life. Get it for them just because. Then buy yourself some flowers and have the best day ever.

I came out here a long time ago for some wedding stuff and possibly quinceañera ideas. Recently I…read morecame for accessories for my mum making. I thought it would be less packed going during the week but it was still very busy. I wanted to come right at 11 when they opened but arrived after 12:45. Some stuff I felt was a good price while other items were too expensive. I actually found some of the same items at Hobby Lobby near me for cheaper and some things with more quantity in a pack. It's a lesson learned because I did mention this early to my daughter but she couldn't decide and ended up wanting a mum. I would still come if I can't locate specifics. I definitely recommend if you are coming for mums whether pre made or starting from scratch to do things early on and price items/mums at different places first for the best deals. I drove from Wylie so that's why the price for the amount of stuff I bought seemed over priced. Also at check out, be prepared for a long line. It did move fairly decent so keep this in mind if you think it's an in and out type of thing but maybe it was just the time I went. When I was at the register the female working was being assisted by an older gentleman. Not sure if she was not having a good day but I literally witnessed him telling her that he didn't know if she just didn't want to work. He also noticed she was messing with a stapler and he told her something about that with an attitude and continued helping check me out. Although she did seem like she didn't want to be there. So he was calling out prices to her of my items and honestly I don't know if that combination was accurate. It doesn't help customers that the receipt doesn't show items listed w/the description, it only shows prices. I'm ok with no returns policy but not ok if the prices didn't match up with the items I had with me because of how the two were handling things.
