Uncomfortable Experience and Concerns About Customer Safety…read more I visited this laundromat at 13863 Queens Boulevard in Jamaica, Queens, and left feeling uncomfortable and concerned about my safety. During my visit, I became concerned about the situation involving clothes being held for unhoused individuals. I asked an employee whether this was a normal practice at the establishment because the situation made me feel unsafe. Rather than receiving a clear explanation or a professional response, the employee stared at me without much expression and stated, "I don't understand." I found this interaction dismissive, especially considering that I was attempting to communicate a genuine concern. I then firmly explained that once my wash cycle was complete, I intended to leave and dry my clothes elsewhere. Customers should be able to use a laundromat without feeling uncomfortable when raising reasonable questions about their surroundings. I would have appreciated a more attentive, respectful response and a clear explanation of the situation. I hope management takes this feedback seriously, reviews how customer safety concerns are addressed, and ensures that employees communicate with customers professionally and respectfully. Based on this experience, I believe there is room for improvement in customer service and how concerns are handled.

Been a loyal customer for some time now and the Asian manager/ owner, "Jay", can care less about that or decent service. I recently started dropping off my clothes for pickup due to my busier schedule. And Diana, behind the desk, gives a nasty attitude every single time. She sees customers waiting and she continues eating her food slowly while you wait for her. She gives an attitude for every response she gives you. I finally contacted the manager and he was just as rude, even worse! After he hung up the phone on me, I returned to get my clothes out of there!!! Both of their excuses was that she is sickly and stressed. Took my clothes to another laundromat within the same radius, who's open all day and night, is cleaner, has a lot of machines and seating space, and offers customer rewards!!! And the place is expansive and full of machines, so no need to get close. Last night, I was feeling restless and decided to give my old favorite a try. While there were new machines & dryers, the place was filthier than ever! Debris on the floor, tops of the washing machines gross from detergent, every washer I touched had lint or random stuff inside and sadly I spotted a couple of roaches. There were about 4-5 other people and one attendant. So I was surprised at the state of the place. Like most laundromats, this place uses a card instead of coins. The card is $5 which seems standard. I used the older washing machines that were $5.50 for what I think was a double loader. The indicator lights weren't working. I also used the older dryers at .35¢ for 8 minutes. Clothes including hoodies dried (for the most part) after 4 rounds. They used to be 24 hours, but no longer. Tuesday and Thursday nights they close at 10 and reopen in the morning. As a plus, they do have free parking

I drive to Jamaica ave from south ozone park just because this place has a parking lot! I always get the spot in front the door. It's always bright and clean inside. You see the employees constantly sweeping and tiding up the place. The employees are very friendly (minus the one older Guyanese woman that stares me down like I'm stealing my own blankets), Rupa and Sharon are sweethearts. There's free wifi and it actually runs smoothly. It's run entirely on laundry cards, so there's no more annoying quarter counting. There's also many TVs playing various stations. They offer drop off/ pick up service and sell laundry bags, detergent etc. Around the laundromat has a Chinese food spot, an Indian- curry spot, Matty's deli and a few convenient stores. There's also walgreens, planet fitness, Starbucks, Jamaica hospital and the E train within walking distance. I would've gave them 5 stars, but today a lot of machines were on the fritz (Sharon did give me 35 minutes in the dryer for free-to rectify a faulty washer soaking my blankets instead of spin drying them) and since they're located on Jamaica ave; they do have the occasional homeless and crazy people stopping in.
