When my last wash and fold laundry closed seven years ago, I tried a lot of different options--places that seemed flashy or delivered all fell flat. When I discovered this place, though, the absolute perfection of their service, the finish in their work, and the HOSPITALITY of everybody who works here--Salem, who runs the place, most of all--is unmatched anywhere in the neighborhood. They are attentive, detail-oriented and thoughtful in the extreme. Salem remembered my name from the second time I walked in the door, and he does this with all his customers. When my daughter went through a princess dress phase, his staff--WITHOUT ASKING OR CHARGING--hang dried every dress. Every member of the staff remembers my preferences. They treat everybody, from all backgrounds, whether you are paying for wash and fold or doing your own wash, with the utmost respect and care. The machines are clean and well maintained, they take cards, they help you out. They have in seven years not lost a single item of my clothing, and I wash 40 pounds with them every week. If you opened a brand new laundromat directly across the street from me and charged half the price, I would 100% still walk up the street to Si Laundromat. I had a pick up order and my bag was huge when it was picked up. I get it back that night and I was wondering why it looked smaller, I figured it was because of the way it was folded. I open it and start putting my clothes away and I notice a pair of lulu lemon leggings missing along with a skims dark grey sweat set and all of my socks! I mean socks really? I contacted the owner who was super sweet. She called me back today saying she saw nothing and there's nothing she can do she told me to look in my house again because it's probably there... like I'm crazy! I moved here a few weeks ago and desperately needed to do laundry. The place a block away had terrible reviews and so I looked for something else sadly not at close. Sí Laundromat is a bit further away from me and I can't walk there but going there was totally worth it. I used their wash and fold service and they honestly did an amazing job. The price is also very affordable. 10 pounds was $13. An amazing value. And the people who run the place are genuinely very nice. The facilities are clean. They're open from early in the morning to late at night. I would recommend them in a heartbeat. read more

This is the absolute best laundromat I have ever been to. Certainly the best in the neighborhood. I've been using the wash and fold service (I bring it, leave it, pick it up), for a year and a half now. Each week I come in, and the friendly guy knows my name. He jokes with me, asks me about my day, and pokes fun at me when I've forgotten my bag there for a few days. It's a really pleasant experience. On top of all that, that actual service is incredible. They almost always can accommodate same day pick up. They separate my delicates in a little separate bag, my socks in another and my main clothes in another. It makes putting away my laundry even easier. And all of this for 99c a pound! I've been places in BK where its upwards of $1.30 a pound and the service is no where near as good. Go to this place. Ask the friendly man there about his art that he makes and hangs on the walls. (I really regret that I do not know his name.) But his art is great. He's insanely friendly. And now that I'm moving, I'll miss my weekly interactions with him. read more

Awesome people here. Really affordable same day drop off service. I didn't get one of my laundry bags back last time and I assumed it just got lost randomly around the house. The next time I went to pick up my drop off laundry, Si Laundromat had gifted me a new laundry bag and found my old one as well. I've also washed loose cash in my pockets countless times and they've always returned it to me in a little baggie with the drop off. These guys are great. They actually create a community feel in their spot! I do drop off and pick up service so don't spend much time there but still feel welcome. My first time, I paid in advance with credit card. When I went to pick up the next day, the guy gave me $5 in cash because apparently there was a first time discount and the lady the day before forgot to give it to me! I had no idea. Wash and fold is amazing and they even separate out your socks and underwear into separate bags from the main to make it all easier to unpack. Seriously highly recommend. read more

Love coming here. The guy who works here is so friendly and helpful. Every Time I forget my soap he always has some for me. Whether I'm washing clothes there, or I'm dropping of. Over the past year I have been consistently impressed with the excellence of the services, here (dry cleaning and laundry). The owner works like a madman to keep everything clean and running smoothly. I've often dropped off laundry or dry cleaning that I needed on a rush and received the same answer: "no problem" and a smile. It may be weeks between visits and I'm not two steps in the door and I'll hear "Hi Douglas! How are you?" This is the fairest review anyone csn give to this place. Gave them 4 chances to prove themselves. The first time they were late by multiple days. The 2nd and 3rd times I had to take my shirts back multiple times because they came back with red stains. I have wasted at least a full week of my life having to constantly take my clothes back. There were many close encounters where I had to pickup my items on the day of the event that they were needed for. Now I just noticed that my $1000 shirt has a missing button. This is unreal. Seriously they deserve less than 1 star for all the damage they've done. read more

The new owner, a guy named Salem gave me his personal cell phone number and told me he would take care of any problems I have to say, based on the terrible quality of ALL the other Laundromats in the neighborhood (HIGHER prices, old machines, and nasty cigarette butts on the floor) I have had NO problems here, very fast, great priced in and out service, and most important to me, very friendly workers there that help you get in and out quickly and actually CARE about the customers. Free candy + anti-Trump = my new laundromat! The one by my apartment is closed for self-service due to a gas leak, so I decided to try Si. It's a little small and the machines are old, but the staff is super nice and I appreciate that you can pay with quarters rather than having to buy a card like my usual place. Plus it's right by Lighthouse bar so you can get a killer cocktail (I recommend the South Side) while you wait for your clothes to dry, along with a snack like the house-made sourdough bread. I recently moved to the neighborhood and I found out about this laundromat. I'm giving 5 stars just because staff is really friendly, the place is clean and whenever I decide to do drop off, I'm never disappointed with the smell and how they fold the clothes. I Wash my clothes usually at 3PM or 4PM. It's always great to have a spacious laundromat nearby! There's nothing like washing your clothes in a clean and bright environment; You rarely run into a "no machine available" scenario which makes a trip to the laundromat a little less daunting. read more

I've been seeing Salem for two years now and unfortunately I am moving to Bushwick. With that said, I will probably continue to drop my clothes off here because dude is the nicest guy and their same day service is next to none. They have been extremely reliable with having my drop off laundry ready same-day, they take all credit cards, and they air dry the stuff I ask to be air dried. "Why is it impossible to find a decent dry cleaner in this city?" This is the question I have been asking myself for my entire New York City career of nearly five years. After having nightmarish experiences with other dry cleaning services, I was resigned to taking all my dirty clothes with me on visits home where I would unload three months worth of it onto my local and trusted cleaner. Clothes are incredibly personal, and in the past I've found great dry cleaners who I'd come to trust with my clothes, only to have them lost (Fly Cleaners, I'm looking at you). Or: the turn around wouldn't be what was promised, delivery times missed, clothes coming back looking just as dirty as going in -and all of this for high prices that didn't match the low quality of service. I am so happy I went into Si. After enduring mishap after mishap at other dry cleaners, I didn't have high hopes, but even after one visit I knew I had finally found a place. The guy who runs the place is incredibly nice and detail oriented, carefully inspecting each piece with you and marking stains. The prices are the best I've encountered, there's an very quick turn around, they're professional, and, best of all, my clothes come back spotless -and ALL of them come back. They have a very organized system and, unlike at other cleaners, I don't watch my clothes go behind the counter with the thought: "I wonder if this is the last time I'll see that blazer." Si is reliable, trustworthy, and simply the best. If you need a great dry cleaner, I can't recommend Si enough. read more

I've been coming here for about three months. This place is great - clean, the machines work, plenty of carts and seating and good service. This review is because apparently in July they overcharged me for some dry cleaning - I never noticed. I was gone the month of August but apparently they called me five times. They also called in September and I heard the voicemail but forgot to talk to someone (I usually just go do my own laundry). When I did dry cleaning again the manager remembered my name and made sure to give me my money back! So, management is very honest. read more

After reading the amazing reviews and seeing the price I was very keen to try them... Unfortunately I have been left seriously disappointed! At first it looked like they did an amazing job... Quick, clean and cheap... But when my partner put on one of his newly cleaned tshirts it had shrunk and was way too small... 3 of his black tshirts are now ruined! And they were brand new... My shirts and dress were luckily not effected... Well the shirts felt a little tight but ok. I've now spent the last few hours trying to "unshrink" his shirts!
