Our order was Togo unfortunately we were missing the salsa so the tacos were overall plain. The tacos are definitely not like the kind we're used to. The seasoning was lacking for my taste. If I went back I would more than likely to try the quesabirrias next time.

The broth was tasty, I even saved the remainder of the broth to make my own ramen with. The meat was tender and not full of fat. My boyfriend also loved the carne asada tacos that he got, he said they were really good. The lady cooked the food fresh when we ordered so we waited a few minutes but it wasn't excessive and it was definitely worth it. There is a hooded seating area with picnic tables next to the truck if you wand to sit and eat outside. They turned on the lighting for us. I'll be back! And every single time, I order the exact same thing. The sampler egg rolls? Elite. The standout egg rolls? Always the crab and shrimp. This time, on my way to the airport, they were out of crab, so I went with its substitute (crawfish and shrimp) instead. Still just as good. Honestly, it's a treat for me because, yes, three egg rolls total about $21, but they're more than worth it--hearty, packed full, always fresh. And the different sauces? That's just the icing on the cake. This time around, my friend and her son ordered fries and a Philly cheesesteak. The fries? Crispy and perfectly seasoned. And the Philly? Hands down, the best rendition of a cheesesteak I've had south of Pennsylvania. I will continue to sing the praises of The Better Box. The quality is consistent. The taste is consistent. And no matter where I am in Houston, it's always worth the drive. Plus, the wait is never long! This time it only took 10 minutes to receive our food.

Keep that in mind as you navigate to find this spot. Tacos are quite affordable at $2 a pop. Meats avialable are the fajita, trompo, pollo, chorizo, and campechanos (fajita & trompo mixed). The menu is in either english or espanol and the person taking your order is bilingual in both. Makes the ordering process pretty smooth. I went with 6 tacos with a mix of fajita, trompo, pollo, and campechanos. Also ordered a small pirata fajita quesadilla. The tacos come with a generous amount of garnish (cilantro + onions) along with some sauteed onions and limes for squeeze. Get the squeeze on and throw on some of that green salsa they provide. The flavors pack a nice punch with the campechanos and trompo as my favorites. The quesadilla pirata has a nice cheese pull and I like the avocado addition for some creaminess. I'll be including this in the taco rotation since this isn't too far from my office. Reminder that it's cash or Zelle only so have that paper ready!
