I wanted to love this place, and wish I could give it a better review - primarily because the proprietor was so friendly and engaging, spending an inordinate amount of time with our tour group, telling us the history of brewing and his own personal anecdotes - but it was a so-so experience.
First, our group waited such a LONG time for our table, despite having made reservations. I understand it's hard to accommodate a large group, and hard to time other groups' departures, but it just seemed to be very poorly coordinated and handled. I think our group of 12 probably waited in the outer bar area for 45-60 minutes before our table was ready. During that time, we were largely ignored. Ultimately we got an apology, but a free round would've been a nice gesture and would've gone a lot further to preserve good will.
Second, neither the brews nor the food met my expectations. It certainly wasn't bad, but it wasn't stellar either.
