Actually i was very surprised how good their burger is!! Coming from NY and being a chef, NY HAS SOME OF THE GREATEST BURGERS IN THE WORLD. So i can be very critical. The meat is fresh not frozen and not pre madd garbage. The Bun tastes like a potato roll and holds up, even with juice dripping. Cooked medium with a little pink and still juicy. Char grilled flavor evident and delicious. I had a single with cheese. (For some reason Norwegians prefer no cheese! ) Americans love cheese and we invented the burger for a good reason! CheeseBurgers Rock!! I only wish they would add Jarlsberg cheese, cheddar good and you need to offer, but this is Norway, add Jarlsberg as an option. I did not get fries~ they looked good and fried crispy, but i think they were frozen not fresh. I may try next time, just to let you know. The cook is Thai? And she knows how to cook a burger! Go here. Great price for Norway. Where most burgers are $20 to $25 or more!! This single burger with cheese was $14 USD. I am from States and love a good burger. While visiting Norway on vacation for two weeks, I found this place through Yelp and I'm glad I did. I tried a burger at 4 other places during my trip. Two in Oslo, one in Hamar, and two Lillehammer. Brooklyn Burger Joint was by far the best I had and is also better than most places stateside. I ordered the "menu", which is what they call a meal deal. Burger, fries, and a soda. My choice was the classic with cheese and bacon. The size was perfect and the flavor was outstanding. The fries tasted great and there were more than I could finish. The only thing I think could be a bit better is the ventilation, but that's a tough battle when you're slingin burgers. read more

This was a legit burger. Beef was juicy and perfectly flavored, sauce and veggies were spot on. Not like any burger I've had in the states but at least as good as any from Burger Republic or similar. I had kimchi on the side - it had a slightly German taste to it (a bit like sour kraut) but delicious nonetheless. Fries were OK, but owner may want to play with the oil mix and temperature. Can't beat fresh cut! Overall a perfect replacement for anyone stateside visiting Lillehammer and looking for a taste of home. read more

Stumbled on Brooklyn Burger on a recent ski trip to Lillehammer. Guy from Iceland open the place and serves up a very good burger and fries. Makes a great chili mayo dip sauce for the fries. I'm from Brooklyn and theses guys are kind of like Shake Shack but with a bit bigger patty and better quality meat. Good, fast and fun place to hang out or take out. Very friendly guy who gave me a lot of good local info as I chomped down on my loaded cheese burger. Going back for the Chicken Soup which he said is not to be missed. read more
