I tried a burger at 4 other places during my trip. Two in Oslo, one in Hamar, and two Lillehammer. Brooklyn Burger Joint was by far the best I had and is also better than most places stateside. I ordered the "menu", which is what they call a meal deal. Burger, fries, and a soda. My choice was the classic with cheese and bacon. The size was perfect and the flavor was outstanding. The fries tasted great and there were more than I could finish. The only thing I think could be a bit better is the ventilation, but that's a tough battle when you're slingin burgers.

The meat is fresh not frozen and not pre madd garbage. The Bun tastes like a potato roll and holds up, even with juice dripping. Cooked medium with a little pink and still juicy. Char grilled flavor evident and delicious. I had a single with cheese. (For some reason Norwegians prefer no cheese! ) Americans love cheese and we invented the burger for a good reason! CheeseBurgers Rock!! I only wish they would add Jarlsberg cheese, cheddar good and you need to offer, but this is Norway, add Jarlsberg as an option. I did not get fries~ they looked good and fried crispy, but i think they were frozen not fresh. I may try next time, just to let you know. The cook is Thai? And she knows how to cook a burger! Go here. Great price for Norway. Where most burgers are $20 to $25 or more!! This single burger with cheese was $14 USD. Bit pricy but compared to the $25 burgers, this one beats them hands down!!

The area surrounding the bar is actually very beautiful and a nice place to take a stroll and the bar itself is cozy and well suited to seat parties of multiple sizes. Food-wise the prices were pretty decent (from an American perspective). I ended up trying the moose burger and it was well worth a try. The actual meat is slightly gamey--not as satisfying as a beef patty, but the mix of the cranberry jam (or some sort of berry jam?) they put on the burger actually mixed very well with the overall dish. Overall a satisfying experience.
