I love the fact that you can pretty much purchase almost anything you might need in a pinch. Now realize that Circle K is a convenience store and more than likely you will find most grocery type items like milk, bread, etc...a few cents more than an the local market of your choosing. Another favorite here for me is the cheap quick eats, like pizza, hot dogs, sandwiches and of course their famous Polar Pop. They offer quick meal specials for $4 filling you up with either two Hot Dogs or a hot sandwich or two breakfast tacos or two slices of pizza and Circle K 2 oz. bag of chips and of couse the famous Polar Pop cup filled with your favorite beverage. I say the next time you drive by one, and you know you will, just stop in and check it out. Enjoy!

When gas everywhere else has been $2.15, this station has stayed at $2.09. It's a small station that isn't the massive food counter of say a Cumberland Farms or a Sheetz, but it has cheap gas. That's why I will wait to get it here. It's also directly in front of the auto parts store if you need anything.

Seems ridiculous to write a review on a grocery store, right? Well not so fast…read more I'm not usually a brand loyalist. I like to shop where convenience and price meet selection. For me, the topsham Hannaford is the best option in a 15 or 20 mile radius. Not only is the parking a million times more convenient than other local stores, the facility itself is clean, spacious, and comfortable. It feels like home. Now don't kid yourself, if you walk in on obvious "busy times" there will be a wait. (The day before thanksgiving, the Super Bowl, July 3rd, Etc). The staff is friendly and courteous while being efficient. The grocery selection is on par with larger retail chains while putting a heavy emphasis on local produce. (Which I appreciate) Prices are fair and they will make an attempt to stock items if you request them and if there have been a few other requests. The only minor complaint is that the beer aisle is severely lacking. I don't knock them for it as there is a major beverage warehouse down the road a quarter of a mile. This is my "go to" spot for groceries.

But yesterday, 1/3/2026, at least 50% of the produce section was wilted, and many bags of lettuce had leaves with brown rotted edges. Almost all peppers had wrinkles up near the stems, carrots were even wrinkly which means they are at least a month old. Things were flatly in-sellable and yet you had them on display trying to trick customers into putting it into their baskets. What is going on? I doubt the utter lack of freshness has anything to do w corporate policy, as Delhaize has ridgid Guidelines to ensure incredible freshness. I will walk thru next Saturday with my camera to get shots of all wrinkly and rotted things to post on line.

Gas prices used to be better when I was younger however I think that is something that is not going to change ever. The location is in a great spot for foot traffic. Traffic does move fast enough to get out if you going along with traffic, however. It's not a full-service station, however, Which most places aren't these days so you will have to pump your own gas. The sales associate at Target mentioned that most brands don't make them anymore and suggested I try Walmart next door. At Walmart, it wasn't easy to browse since most of the men's razors were on the upper shelves, and I use a wheelchair. Fortunately, I met a very kind employee named Irial who was stocking shelves. She listened carefully when I explained what I needed and took the time to help -- lifting down one box after another until we finally found exactly what I was looking for: a Remington R3 razor with a sliding on/off switch. I can't say enough about Irial's patience and kindness. She went above and beyond to make sure I could find the right product. I truly hope Walmart recognizes employees like her and continues hiring helpful, compassionate staff

Long Island Store is your quintessential Maine island store: it's pretty sparse, no frills, and…read moresmall enough that it's easy to navigate/easier to get under foot of other people. They definitely know who's a local and who's not. And they offer essentials like sunblock, fishing gear, and kitschy sweatshirts (for your perfect beach day in case you forgot anything on the mainland/are a tourist and don't realize that the ocean breeze in Maine can actually be quite cold even in August); along with pretty typical mom and pop store staple food items like cold sandwiches (think Italians, tuna/chicken/egg salad, etc.), hot sandwiches (meatball, steak and cheese, hamburgers), fried foods (clam cakes, chicken fingers, mozzarella sticks, french fries), Gifford's ice cream (there are very minimal options), whoopie pies, and soda, six-packs of beer, and bottles of wine. Folks can enjoy their spoils on Long Island Store's deck while looking out onto Casco Bay. Interestingly enough, the back of the store also houses some beautiful, coastal-inspired artwork. And why wouldn't it when outside their window are pine trees, the rocky shoreline, and the deep blue Atlantic? For a half-day trip, it's not necessarily a "must stop"; the first time we came we almost immediately left when we realized there was really nothing we wanted or needed (though I imagine if we were vacationing here/lived here/weren't vegetarians we would end up LOVING this place). We were initially drawn in for the ice cream, but the flavors weren't singing to us and the people working seemed deeply immersed in conversations with other islanders making it difficult to get their attention. However, there is something quite satisfying about a) feeling a sort of anonymity here, and b) being able to buy a bottle of wine only to then walk down to Fowlers or up to Cleaves Landing to enjoy it!
