Listen, compared to other Cumberland Farms in Portland, this one's great…read more.. 1. It's one of the Cumby's that got entirely renovated (and because of the way it's set back and has a washed out color palette, it doesn't seem to be an eyesore in what's an established, historical, family-oriented neighborhood... I also know it's in a safe area where folks can easily walk to it at night with no worries). 2. It's got plenty of parking. 3. It's got plenty of gas pumps. The biggest problem here I think is it's diagonal location offering four separate entrance/exits. Because of this, people are constantly whipping in and out of here - usually with no blinkers or any regard for the heavy traffic on both Brighton and Woodford. There are times I've wanted to stop here to gas up, but have chosen to wait until whatever gas station was next in my travels because I was genuinely nervous about getting rear-ended or smashed into by the people using Cumby's as a through-street.

Cumberland Farms is obnoxious, but this one takes the cake! As a rule the staff is rude, the music…read moreis way too loud, and everything is WAY overpriced. There is also a contingent of strange old guys always present, they are there night and day, sometimes I even spot one or two of them stocking the shelves while the actual clerk is outside smoking cigarettes and scratching lottery tickets with a cab driver. Stay on Brighton Ave. and go to the 7-11.

I usually have man ok time picking up my drinks after work, but recently, the last couple months or…read moreso they hired an older woman. she is super disresp to me. always rude and acting like I'm taking up all her time. she has a constant attitude with me and just now she was on the phone and completely ignored me. when I asked for cigarettes she was like WHAT??? like take the friggin earpiece out of your damn head and listen to the customers. I've thought about reviewing her multiple times but today just did it. she kept talking and made a rude comment about my appearance on the way out the door. I love my "scrubby" gray sweater. bitch.

You ever feel weirdly partial to something that other people probably don't think twice about?…read moreLike, I don't know... gas stations? I really like this Irving: 1. It's big enough. 2. There always seems to be a pump available when I need it. 3. It's darn clean. 4. Also, the bathroom is big enough. 5. There always seems to be a bathroom available when I need it. 6. And, the bathroom is darn clean, too. And the people who work here have always been super friendly (then again my interactions have been limited to zooming past them en route to the loo). I used to come here a lot when I worked in Portland, but lived in Lewiston because it was a nice midway point between the two, and if I was playing the "how long can I go with my gas light on before it's too late" or "how long can I go before my bladder actually bursts" games, it was usually about here that I would give in. Also, if you're on I-95 and you're looking for a reliable place to stop that's SUPER close to the highway... consider Exit 53. My onnnnnnnneeeee issue? You're not supposed to take a left out of here (left = the way back to the turnpike, the Hannaford strip mall, Route 100 into Portland). I mean, I definitely do take a left out of here and haven't been yelled at yet, but you're not supposed to. I've never seen it busy enough here to warrant the rule, but you've been warned!
