Did a whole-home purchase of ceiling fans from them, over $8500 in fans. Five fans were for outside areas. I confirmed several times not only were they *positive* the fans were for outdoor use, but that they were for a salt air environment. Sure sure, that's exactly what they're for, the fans are made from a corrosion-resistant alloy, you have nothing to worry about. You'll be able to see from my pictures that the fans are clearly not meant for a salt air environment, because they look like complete garbage after only two years. The store tells me hey take it up with the manufacturer. The manufacturer, Minka Aire, is unreachable, so even if their warranty did apply, there's no way to contact them in a manner that elicits a response. Great, clearly bad advice from someone who didn't research it, and they sell product from vendors who are non-responsive to warranty requests; i.e., useless. Last but not least, Lightstyle's installers used steel wood screws to install my fans in the ceiling cups; not machine screws to match the threaded holes in the cups. I guess that was all their installer had that day, so what the heck, we'll go with that. The end result is the steel screws on the outdoor fans began to rust, and I discovered this issue when one fell off the ceiling because the screws had rusted through. It also means all the threads are destroyed, so I can't go back and put the proper screws in. So, my experience with Lightstyle has left me needing to replace $2500 in junk outdoor fans after only a couple years. Obviously will not be going back. read more

The 5 stars for this all goes to our sales associate, Ryan. The store has an amazing selection of lighting fixtures. Some over the top looking like they belong in Mike Tyson's house, others that are ultra modern, rustic, country,.......lets just say the offer something for everyone. Hands down the best pricing we could find but mind you, lighting isn't cheap! It took two trips to get what we wanted and Ryan was great. My wife was super stressed about all of this and he made the process a great one. He was patient with her, listened to what she was trying to accomplish and helped her find what she was looking for. read more

Why 5 stars? Because they have the best lighting selection that I've seen. --- --- --- A couple of years ago, I was on the hunt for a porch light, and I really wasn't digging the selection from Lowe's or Home Depot. My main concern was that I didn't want a fixture where the bottom was open to allow wasps to build a nest inside because I have an irrational fear of flying creatures that sting. So I popped in to Lightstyle on a whim while driving by and picked up the coolest outdoor fixture that I found to-date. Of course, it was completely closed off, and wasp-proof :) Fast forward to present day, and I'm renovating my bathrooms. I've had the most basic light bulbs over my vanity to-date, and I was finally ready to upgrade. We checked out a few different stores, and eventually returned to Lightstyle. Once again, they had two super rad fixtures. One has a distressed, antique-y look to it, which goes with the rustic theme of our master bath. The other is modern and holds 3 halogen bulbs, that give the otherwise darker room, a much-needed brightening! While I was waiting for the employee to retrieve the lights from the warehouse, my girlfriend found some art for the wall that was practically made for our guest room. She happened to have some Paris pictures that we were going to put up on the wall in there, and when she found this giant sign from a Paris Hotel, we need we had to grab it. So they don't just have lights! It's definitely a spot to grab some sweet decor for your house as well. You should absolutely check out Lightstyle before settling on boring ole' Home Depot/Lowe's. read more

The light elements are gorgeous. They have a large selection of light fixtures, ceiling fans, plus home decorations. We ordered a beautiful ceiling fan from here after a power surge ruined three of ours. We wanted something large, with simple, clean lines. While the service we received the day we ordered was awesome, the service following order left a little to be desired. We were told it would be 1-2 weeks before the fan arrived. After two weeks, I called to inquire about the status... a young man let me know that he didn't know where it was just yet, but he would research and call me back. Fast forward two days and we still hadn't heard anything. So I called back. I was told it hadn't come in but that it was set for a Monday arrival. I called Tuesday to inquire, since I didn't hear anything Monday. The same guy answered and told me it hadn't arrived yet. When I asked him about the Monday arrival information that was previously shared with me, he asked me to hold. He came back on the phone, and mysteriously, the fan had "just arrived on the truck" and was in. When I told him I was on the way, he "politely" reminded me they close in 20 minutes. Considering I needed the fan for my electrician that was coming the next day (3 weeks later), I wish they would have been a little more communicative about the arrival and/or delay. I'm happy with my ceiling fan, just not happy with the service. read more

Husband and I have been here twice. Both times waited one by different men that had the same aloof attitude. First trip over a month ago was to pick out fixtures. We came back over a month later to pick them up. Again, we were treated with the same aloof, and I may go as far as to say sarcastic tone. We left. They don't need our business. I will not be treated this way. Lighting stores are a dime a dozen, not including the Internet. Buh-bye. Save yourself a trip. Go elsewhere unless you feel like over paying, being herded like cattle and being told the finish you want is "close enough" to what you really want. read more

I drove all the way to Tampa because I noticed they had more variety than the lighting store close to me, and they have a contemporary lighting section that I was looking for.i Donna Magnotta was my sales assistant. I have to say, she did everything she said she would, she took her time to explain me everything in detail , she called me every time she said she would, she replied to all my calls, she was very professional. The products they sold were phenomenal, very great quality. I bought some items they had in stock, others I ordered and they delivered them once they received them two weeks after. We couldn't install two of the many ceiling fans that I ordered, so they placed a new order without making a hassle, and once they received it, Gary drove all the way to my house and took the two that I had problems with and left me the new ones. Great, great, great service. I really recommend this store. I will definitely go back for anything. read more

I've been to this store a couple of times and each time the sales people just sit at the counter, look at you and then look away. No one offers to help you. They must work with designers because they sure aren't interested in walk in business. We bought a light off the floor and we had to help the worker take it down. Sales person just walked away. This is an attitude that comes from management. Have heard this from several people. We are building a new home and definitely won't use them. read more

Good selection for most budgets. Signs are super misleading so buyers beware. Either that, or the sales person works on commission and didn't want to miss out on any, so he made up a reason why the lights I picked out didn't not apply to the sale. They probably have the best show room in Tampa for lighting. But....the salesman legit told us that he couldnt help us. There was one other customer that was finishing their transaction. Terrible service, no one greeted us as we came in and 3 people were working there. Prices are very expensive. So we took pictures of lights we liked and bought them online for way cheaper. read more

Product selection is exceptional! However customer service is horrible.. forget being attended to or even having them say hello..
