    Keith's Bike and Mower

    Keith's Bike and Mower

I had two bicycles that needed tune up. No repairs needed, just a tune up so I would feel better…read moreabout my wife and my daughter riding them again after a few years of non-use. I got a call that the bikes were ready the next day. Upon picking up the bikes and bringing them home, I test-rode them around a block. I found a couple of minor issues with my daughter's bike. The brake was very soft. It felt like either the pressure on the brakes were not high enough or the brake pads were worn out. The gears when in the middle sprockets were making slight noises as if the chains were touching something. Neither were big problems, and I took the bike back a few days later. Keith adjusted the gears to solve the chain noise problem, but declared that there's nothing wrong with the brakes. More serious problem occurred with my wife's bike. When first brought back from Keith's shop, I had my wife ride it around the block to make sure she was comfortable with all the settings. Everything seemed fine at first, but after about 10 mins of riding (she was beginning to enjoy it kept going the blocks and I was following her on a scooter), she all of sudden headed into a ditch and fell over. It turns out one of the pedals fell off because it was not screwed on all the way. After walking the bike back home, it was simple enough to re-screw on the pedal, but my wife ended up with a bruise on her shoulder. When I mentioned this to Keith when I went back with daughter's bike, he said the pedals were on perfectly when it left his shop, and implied that somehow we did something to loosen it up. I may not be a bike expert, but I have screwed on and off a few pedals in my life. Keith was pretty friendly before but turned less than friendly at that point. I can't speak to the quality of service with the mowers and other small engine equipment since this is my first interaction with them, but it feels like the bicycle side of the business is an add on service and that they are not really experts with the bicycles. I went to Keith's Bike and Mower because they quoted me lower rate than other bike shops around my area. At this point, I feel that was a mistake.

I like that I can call the owner on the phone if I have a question. I trust him and won't bring my bikes to anyone else when they need repairs. Because I am also a business owner, Keith asked my advice about a recent bad review by Dan S. and after talking with him I feel I should debunk it. Keith's description of the situation couldn't be more different than Dan S. posted on Yelp. Keith said Dan S. came in and had two bike repaired and he repaired them to his usual high standard. Dan S. called a few days later saying he heard a noise on one of the bikes. Keith said to bring it back in to be adjusted for free. The problem was an adjustment and was fixed in five minutes. Then on the way out the door Dan S. stated out of the blue that his wife fell off the other bike because a pedal fell off and started saying Keith was negligent and complaining that he wanted his money back. Keith told me he was very respectful to Dan S. but could not be held responsible for what happened with the bike days after the repairs were done and asked why Dan S. didnt bring in the bike since it was a serious accusation. Dan S. had no answer for him and left angry. Sounds like a shakedown to me having gone through it myself. Guy wanted something for nothing and Keith didn't give in. Keep up the good work Keith we're rooting for you against all the trolls on Yelp!

I didn't give a date or time when I requested a quote. I did not receive a response. 5 days later I sent another message stating "I didn't have a specific day or time yet." How can you tell me you're booked when we haven't discussed anything? I still have not received a response. I guess someone else will get my business.

We hired R Core Electric to do two jobs in our home: install recessed lighting in 2 rooms and…read moreinstall an electrical sub-panel + charger for our electric vehicle in our garage. The job itself was fine. They completed the work and everything seems to be ok. So why the 1-star rating: My issue with R Core is that we specifically asked them to pull a permit for the job they were doing. They charged us for said permit and told us they did. An inspector never came out to confirm the work. I reached out to R Core several times asking when an inspector would come out and I got no response. Finally I went online and searched our address to see if a permit was pulled and there is NO record of a permit being pulled for this job. I reached out again to RCore several times requesting a refund for the permit charge and they never responded. I find this very shady and I'm very upset that they charged me to pull a permit and didn't actually pull it. And that they have not responded to any of my emails. I also tried calling Roman directly and he never returned my calls either. I will never do business with them again.

We were left with no power for 4 days and a generator emitting CO. Aron was responsive , he listened to the series events, walked me through how to trouble shoot over the phone and advised what most likely occurred and how to rectify it. He assisted with getting my power back on and made suggestions for corrective action to our generator and placement of it. Aron was a lifesaver for our sanity. We will be dropping our original installation company and moving our business to Pure Power! They came highly recommended by family and I can see why! Thank you Aaron

I have been a satisfied customer of Pure Power Generators for many years, and until recently I had…read morenever had a single issue with your company or your service. My most recent experience has left me frustrated beyond belief. On July 28, we lost power at our facility. Our generator ran perfectly for approximately eight hours before shutting down unexpectedly. I called their office right away, and staff attempted to help me diagnose the problem over the phone, but we were unable to get the unit running again. Because we operate an animal shelter caring for more than 60 animals, this was an urgent situation. The earliest appointment available was 9:00 a.m. the following morning. Tyler arrived as scheduled and identified the problem. He initially believed the necessary part would have to be ordered with an uncertain lead time. I inquired if replacing the entire generator would be quicker and/or even necessary. He said there was no reason to replace it as it is repairable and replacing it would also take lead time to order a new unit. After realizing how critical the situation was for our animals, he checked and found the part at your office, retrieved it, and had us back online that same day. I sincerely appreciated his professionalism and his concern for the welfare of our animals. Before leaving, Tyler explained the following: - The unit requires two capacitors, and because they should always be replaced as a matched set, he would order two more. - The battery cables also need to be replaced. - Someone from the office would contact us to schedule a return visit once the parts arrived. On July 30, I received a voicemail from a male representative stating that the capacitor we need is no longer available and that you needed my credit card for payment. When I returned the call, I spoke with a woman who reviewed my file and told me that my balance was zero because you have our ACH information on file. She stated the invoice was $235. I asked her to clarify whether someone would still be returning to complete the repair, and she said she would pass the information along and that someone would follow up with me. Shortly afterward, the same male representative called back. During that conversation, he: - Told me I was mistaken about the generator being repairable - Insisted I could not have spoken with anyone at his office - Stated the bill was $614, not $235 - Denied that you have our ACH information on file His tone was dismissive, downright accusatory, and he gave the clear impression that he did not believe what I was telling him. He said an invoice had been sent, and I told him it would be paid. This morning, August 4, my wife called to get a straight answer about whether our generator can be repaired. She spoke with the same representative, and that call was equally unproductive. I'd ask that you review the way these calls were handled. Tyler represented your company extremely well, and I have no complaints about the technical service we received. The follow-up communication, however, was contradictory and unnecessarily combative. As an animal shelter, a reliable generator is not a convenience -- it is essential to the safety of the animals in our care. Because of such a horrific experience, we have taken our business elsewhere. We will find a company to double-check the work that was performed and see if we can salvage a much needed piece of equipment and if not, replace it. Very poor customer service and you have lost a long time client.
