Lightning Labels turned into thunderstorm delays for a very important project I had going where my labels were critical. My label submission SAT in LL art department for 2 1/2 weeks and nobody told me there was a problem. My order actually got LOST in the system. It was only when I went to pick up labels. If you ask for a free quote and they don't want your business, they may ignore your request, leaving you to wait a couple of business days in anticipation of the quote that will never come. Their website is terrible. When it wasn't working or giving us the 30% off discount on our first order that they advertise all over their page.... he told me to just go ahead and place our $1,500 order and he will see if he can maybe refund us. Why would we spend more money when you advertise 30% off on your website. He was so unhelpful and lazy. One of my first jobs while in college in California was as acommercial printing salesperson. I knew how important it is to see a proof in person, so I was mad at myself for not paying extra to next day the proof to me. If I saw the proof I would have made some variations on the graphics I submitted. I am new to GA and saw an advertisement online and was sent samples immediately. A month later we ordered 500 on the roll labels for our new Body Butter PalmShea. My partner loves them but I see where some graphics could have been sharper and sizes edited. Complete scam of a company. Our company ordered over $30,000 worth of labels from Lightning. First, they missed their promise date. Second, they all came completely disorganized. Third, and worst of all, many of the labels were so defective we could not use them. We sent the defective labels back to Lightning. They admit they were defective, and refused to refund. All they would do is reprint them, but we don't need anymore labels, especially off of their defective printers. They have no problem soliciting us for more business but can't refund their defective product. If you want delayed, defective labels, this is your spot. read more

Unfortunately the service level went downhill from this point. Dealing with our account manager Anna, it seemed she was unattentive to our needs, despite repeated attempts to clarify details. The time wasted on attempts to get our order finalized was enough to move on to other options. We could not continue with confidence that we were going to receive the expected labels. Instead, they insisted that I had to order their sample book to choose something. I custom ordered labels from here and I was very let down. First, I spent an entire business day trying to work with these label. Used both of the their templates and even had to create my own template and still I couldn't get them to work. After reaching out I was guided to adjust my printer settings which I did still no labels I could actually use on my products. I ended up wasting five sheets of labels and a whole business day. After this I reached out to them asked for a refund. Which I NEVER got but instead got emails after asking me to send pictures and once sent still didnt get my money back. Still now I have a stack of 100 blank labels that I will never use and I had to go through a whole other vendor to order more label. This issue pushed back my product launch day by two weeks. I have had customers very disappointed at the fact that my products were unavailable when they were told they would be due to this issues. As a small business owner, I never questions my customers, even if I am right! I always refund, I never pepper them with questions. Advertised 2 day production time plus 5 day shipping time meant I should've gotten my labels 7 days later. I had them in 4 days. They look great, and my account manager Kim was as kind and helpful as I could have hoped for. Though they have a quality product, these guys are deceptive and uninformative of how their proofing process works. I recently made an order and noticed that they billed me an extra $420 just because I made three revisions to a single label (in which I requested pdf proofs (which uses no material and takes five minutes)). Anyway, these cucks decided to charge me $5 per label per revision, even on labels that didn't need revised. So thats 28 labels x 3 revisions x $5 per label, when I really only should have been charged $15, which I still think is ridiculous, and I still was only able to talk them down to $20 for the revisions. TL;DR They do not make the revision process crystal clear to the customers and they will nickel and dime you at every chance they get. Also, just like the others mention, their representative, Michaela, needs to tone down the sass. read more
