I was so thankful I caught the first company's voicemail. That lead me to Christina, who offered to come out same day and saved me $750 in service costs for an inexpensive part. She fixed the issue very quickly and exceeded expectations taking the extra time to make sure I had confidence in the system and protective measures in place. I was delighted to find out she was the owner, because it was clear she takes personal pride in the work and truly cares about her customers. That kind of responsiveness, knowledge, and genuine customer service gave me something I hadn't found in a while: peace of mind! I'm incredibly grateful to find a service provider I can count on.

I talked to both owners, Christina and Jared, because they both came to my house at different times during the installation, and I'm an inquisitive and demanding customer (Warren Buffet was my neighbor back in Omaha) ... you make me happy, you're the best at what you do! I even offered to buy a percentage of the company, but they turned me down saying, "This is our life's work. We love what we do." They killed the competition. SunPro/ADT ($45k) was almost 50% higher than the price of Bay Area Solar ($31,776). A third less memorable competitor was 20% more and far less professional and friendly. Installation was fast and professional. I've been researching solar panels for 30 years so I knew what I was getting, and I got the best bang for the buck. No money down, $8261 Federal Tax Credit, $160 a month for 20 years, written guarantee that all my panels will produce 95% of what they produce the first day of installation, or Bay Area Solar will replace them for free. My bill with Duke has consistently been the minimum $35.96, with a few winter months around $60 due to more cloudy days and angle of the sun. My neighborhood was built in 1978, and my neighbors consistently pay $300, $400, and sometimes $500 a month. He did such a thorough job cleaning them and gave us lots of before and after photos. Also throughout his visit he provided a lot of useful information about solar technology in general (as he is a former solar panel installer himself). I have found Solar Source to be an excellent company for my solar rooftop array. My solar array…read morewas installed quite a few years ago by another company which I thought was great. Unfortunately that company went out of business and thankfully referred me to Solar Source. I have been extremely happy with my new relationship with Solar Source. They first inspected my existing solar system, determined my needed repairs after damage from Hurricane Milton, and gave me a quote. I was very happy with the subsequent repair work that Solar Source performed. They adjusted my estimate to properly reflect the actual repairs performed, and they did excellent work. I am very pleased to have Solar Source in my corner going forward for ongoing solar rooftop PV array maintenance as needed. It's a huge relief to me to find another solar company that I can trust and rely upon for their much needed expertise. I highly recommend Solar Source as a trustworthy solar provider. They came to my recue when I really needed them, delivered top notch service, and I am very glad to have found such a reputable company. !!!

What started as a very good relationship with Affordable turned into a very bad situation. For…read moresome reason, of which I'm not aware, they have totally cut me off from any phone calls or emails. I had some earlier discussions with Nicholas Barber (Manager) and he promised to get back to me, after I sent copies of my Duke Energy bills. He never responded and I've been trying to communicate with him via phone calls and emails. I leave messages but never get responses. It seems this company has totally cut off any communications with me. At one point, I called the office number and the call was answered by a nice lady. Just as I was beginning to talk with her, I heard someone holler to her and saying to hang up on me and she did. I'm very concerned about my investment with them because the contract with my solar system is supposed to last for 25 years. I've only had it working for just under 2 years. If they're treating other customers like I'm being treated, how long will they be in business? Of course, if I can't get anyone to help me, that puts me in a real Delma. I've hesitated in giving this review in hopes of a better outcome. However, it's been too long to wait any longer. Initially, I was recommending them. At this point, If asked, I would definitely avoid giving anybody a good recommendation. I'm hoping they will contact me to settle any issues that I'm not aware of. I want to have a good relationship with them and I'm more than willing to change my negative recommendation into a good one.
