This little spot is a gem in the Warm Springs area. We stopped by on our way to visit Callaway Gardens, and really enjoyed our lunch. The menu is small, but provides enough variety for anyone to find something they will enjoy. My husband ordered the chicken salad on croissant and I had the chicken panini. Soooo good! The panini was made flavorful with the addition of a sweet Vidalia onion and tomato jam, and the ciabatta bread was toasted to perfection. My husband is very selective about his chicken salad and he was delighted with their preparation. But our favorite part of the meal was their homemade soups! Soups are made fresh every day and the chef enjoys preparing different ones daily. I had the delicious mushroom soup and my husband loved the vegetable soup. Lots of mushrooms in mine and tons of veggies in his. We sat out on the gazebo and enjoyed a lovely breeze and view of Main Street while we ate. We will definitely stop here again when we visit the gardens.

Cute little hole in the wall place right in downtown Warm Springs. My first visit was a Saturday morning after spending the night in town, visiting our favorite places in town. Woke up to a fire need for coffee, and without leaving town, eg. walking distance, this was the place. The shop is great, great selection of foods and a breakfast menu, some local knick knacks and other local food items for sale. Staff was on spot, greeted me as I walked in, and very helpful.

The owners relocated to Pine Mountain from Cobb County in recent years, and the spot is named after their oldest son! They've been open for almost a year. The service at Dakota's Counter is exceptionally friendly and unfussy. You walk in, step up to 'the counter,' and place your order with ease and comfort, making the whole experience relaxing and enjoyable. You have a choice to eat inside, outside, or take out, catering to your preferences. We ordered the chicken caesar wrap with chips and a Cobb salad with chicken. Both were beautifully made, prepared to order, and incredibly tasty. The Arnold Palmers we ordered--with hand-squeezed lemonade and freshly brewed tea--hit the spot on this scorcher of a day. We ate in, and the dining room had a steady flow of customers coming and going, all with warm smiles. On the way out, we took note of their extensive order-a-meal option. Photo below.

Location is convenient on Broad st in Pine Mountain. Plenty of street parking. Oh the Molasses Cookies are to die for!! A must try. Highly recommend.

We had to wait for about five minutes until anyone showed up to seat us, but not a problem. We were the only ustomers there. We were seated in a booth that had a support post partially blocking access to one side, but were allowed to move after asking when the waitress returned. The music was not loud, which was nice. The place had plenty of things for customers to do, including a room with corn hole. We ordered the 32 ounce sirloin for two, medium rare. Our salads arrived first and were fresh. The dressings were good and enough to cover the salads. The iced tea was very good. The steak was cooked just right. However, the steak, baked potatoes and rolls were luke warm at best. We ordered loaded baked potatoes as our one each allowed sides. They were supposed to come with bacon, cheese, scallions, sour cream and butter. We did not receive sour cream or scallions. When asked about the sour cream, we were told they checked and were completely out of sour cream. At 4:30 on Friday, out of sour cream? We forgot to ask about the scallions. Why didn't the waitress know beforehand about the missing items, or why didn't she apologize when the food was brought to us? We paid an additional $2.99 for each loaded baked potato, but received no discount for the missing items. The potatoes were cooked well, and the skins were not burnt and were edible. Just luke warm. We only received one roll each, which was basically a warmed up Sister Shubert's dinner roll. Had the food been hotter, all of the potato toppings been available, and a small basket of better rolls been given, the sticker shock may have set a little better. For the meal we had, the pre-tip cost was about $75. We left a $20 tip, since the waitress was nice and accommodating. She didn't prepare the food. We will not be returning to Cowboy Town.

A Disappointing Decline: Disgusting! Sick, Overpriced, and Unacceptable!…read more After visiting the Blackbird Cafe over the last 10 years with fond memories, my visit today was the worst dining experience I can recall. The restaurant seems to have lost its way completely, offering poor hygiene, terrible service, and food that made me physically lose what little I did eat on the drive home. Service & Atmosphere: The venue was eerily empty with water on the floor. The staff was sparse and the one that was present was sitting at a table on their phone when we entered. It appeared much like they were disinterested; we were seated by someone who took our drink order she never returned, Another server brought our drink order. The shift to a "Mexican" menu felt rushed and unpolished. The Food Quality: NONE - ZERO STARS!!!! * Burrito Supreme: Lacked any authentic flavor. The meat tasted like burnt, canned Hormel chili. The tortilla was chewy, and the guacamole tasted like cheap mayonnaise. The flavor profile was so poor I became nauseous and had to stop eating. * Quesadillas: These were essentially folded flour tortillas with dry, chewy chicken chunks and bland cheese. There was zero seasoning. The portions were laughably small (approx. 1/4 cup of chicken per quesadilla), and the cheese didn't even hold the filling together. Value for Money: POOR! We WASTED $52 for a burrito/2 half quesadillas (without sides), two sodas, and a negative health experience. The food quality was worse than low end fast food Mexican Food Chains. Outcome: POOR!!!!!! The meal was so bad that I ended up throwing up on the way home. Recommendation: If you value your money, your taste buds, and your stomach, DO NOT GO HERE. I cannot recommend this restaurant in any capacity.

First red flag I saw was when I went to the bathrooms. I noticed the signs stated "ONLY WOMEN ALLOWED" and "ONLY MEN ALLOWED" which gave me an icky feeling but I figured maybe I'll give them the benefit of the doubt. But then when I went back to the table and started eating and my friend joined me, a man came up to our table and got in her face and started yelling at her that she scared his daughter by going to the bathroom. However, there was no daughter in sight, plus there was no one else in the bathroom besides me, her, and there was a waitress who went in after. He got really aggressive and I was surprised that no one on staff did anything to mediate the situation. This was the worst discriminatory moment I've had ever witnessed in a restaurant. Luckily my friend's partner came and eventually I think the man got scared so he left. Transphobia is not okay, and this man & the bystanders who did nothing should all be ashamed of themselves. The bathroom signage also does not help at all-- and my friend has been a loyal customer of this establishment and told me the signage used to just say WOMEN & MEN so the language changed. As for service - it's a buffet so it's self service but complete lack of empathy from staff was extremely disappointing.

Did I forget patient as we stayed around talking until they closed. Thanks for letting life-long friend use our dining experience to catch up with each other. The restaurant fits in nicely with the town and shops. The vintage architecture reminds patrons of years gone bye. We all would recommend you go there to experience this gem of a restaurant.
