I graduated from DCN and passed the NGN NCLEX. I will say, if I wrote this review while in Q2…read morepharm, I'd agree with most of the 1 star reviews, however, I had some self adjusting to learn. I had received a previous degree from CU Boulder and nursing school made that degree feel easy. While there are some bad professors at the school, there are bad professors everywhere. I unfortunately ran into some issues with my original cohort and had to talk to a few people in the school to get switched. They were super supportive of my request and checked in with me every quarter following that. While I don't want to diminish others experiences at DCN, nursing school requires hours upon hours of outside studying. If you think you studied enough, there is always time for more. You will not have any outside time to really see friends or do what you love until the program is over. Those going into nursing school thinking they can barely study and get by, think again. DCN does require you to receive a 78% on cumulative exams to pass the class, which is higher than most nursing schools. I do want to mention that everyone in my cohort has passed the NGN NCLEX in 85 questions so while these reviews may be scary to a new student or someone looking around, it is worth it. It may feel unnecessarily hard but when you are done, you will be thankful. With that being said, take the good and the bad and consider everything. DCN is one of the few programs in Colorado that doesn't require an entrance exam if you have a previous degree which was a big selling point for me. I also want to say that Dr. K is the new dean at DCN and she is amazing! She does care about you and if you approach her with concerns she is understanding and checks in often. She always made me feel welcome into her office to talk.

I learned a lot in the last 21 months attending DCN, although it is an accelerated program it was…read morean expected learning rate and I enjoyed the content very much! The staff is also very quick to reply to you when you have questions which is very dry helpful!

Tales N' Tunes - Fun making music with Miss Tonya

Miss Tonya definitely knows what she's doing and is sure to engage children of all ages and their parents and nannies too! Can't wait for the next session! The class lasted for 10 weeks and included three books that we were able to keep. Each week she planned actions to go along with songs and rhythm, along with props and instruments! miss Tanya's vibrant and fun personality makes it easy to join in.

Tales N' Tunes is a really fun music class for kids of varying ages (look at the description listed…read moreas some classes are for 3-5 year olds while others are 6 months+.) And Ms. Tonya teaches the class at two locations - the one at the address on this listing and at The Dancer's Advantage on 23rd in Park Hill. Plus they are offered at lots of varying times (9:15, 10:15, 11:15 in the morning for example.) The classes last about an hour and are full of different songs with activities, dancing, instruments, story-time like activities and all the kids really enjoy it. There aren't drop in classes though. You have to register for the sessions, most of which last 10 weeks. For the cost of attending you get the 10 weeks of classes and a free book and I think it probably ends up being around $15/class which seems reasonable to me. Best of all Ms. Tonya is awesome. She's a lovely singer, a very engaging person for kids, and just friendly in general. In fact, I'm thinking Baby N is going to be a musician judging by the way he is enthralled with his music class and teacher....

I join weekly to the online classes and spend the weeks studying the content provided to us in each lesson. I fly into Denver and stay with family to learn in person and acquire my hours for clinic. Believe it or not, it was a much better option than most of the schools I looked at in Hawaii! The teachers are all lovely- each has a unique skill set and takes the time to answer any questions or demonstrate any techniques! I love how the clinic hours are structured- each day I leave feeling inspired to step into my profession as a massage therapist. Highly recommend this program to anyone considering!

There new location is a huge upgrade with parking and so much space! There are multiple waiting rooms instead of the one bench in the corner at the old location. When I visited for the first time on 11/10/19, there was a room used solely for the an art gallery; however, all the walls of all the rooms were covered in art that you could buy. A great touch! As for the treatments, the students are insanely good. All of them must go off to expensive spas, as I would be more than willing to pay three to five star resort spa prices for how I am treated and how the treatments go! I have had a lot of the facials, bacial (ugh, so good - a nice treatment and massage all wrapped into one), and the chemical peels. A friend and I love the peels so much, we have decided to make it a monthly thing. We will probably switch it up, but that is how much we love coming here! We have a girl's day once a month on our planners!
