I could not have chosen a better massage therapy program than the Denver Integrative Massage School! The instructors are exceptionally knowledgeable, kind, and genuinely inspiring. I left every session feeling more excited to practice. Each brings a unique style and area of expertise and they take the time to demonstrate techniques, answer questions, and help you build confidence. They truly create a home where you can grow. The curriculum exposes you to a wide variety of massage modalities (such as myofascial release, deep tissue, cupping, Thai sports massage and many more) and this gives you a really well-rounded foundation. This definitely stood out during my internship interviews. I think one of the program's greatest strengths is the wide range of internship opportunities available. I gained experience in multiple clinical settings, private practice, a spa, and an acupuncture studio! I was fortunate to receive job offers from all 3 different locations before graduating! I wholeheartedly recommend this school to anyone looking for an outstanding massage therapy education. You're going to love it. read more

This has been one of the best experiences! I am a student from Hawaii and choose to study at DIMS because of their thoughtful curriculum, the flexible scheduling and the overall price. I join weekly to the online classes and spend the weeks studying the content provided to us in each lesson. I fly into Denver and stay with family to learn in person and acquire my hours for clinic. Believe it or not, it was a much better option than most of the schools I looked at in Hawaii! The teachers are all lovely- each has a unique skill set and takes the time to answer any questions or demonstrate any techniques! I love how the clinic hours are structured- each day I leave feeling inspired to step into my profession as a massage therapist. Highly recommend this program to anyone considering! read more

Important Note - This review on the clinic, not the school. I have never taken a class at the clinic. I've been coming to the clinic are years! There new location is a huge upgrade with parking and so much space! There are multiple waiting rooms instead of the one bench in the corner at the old location. When I visited for the first time on 11/10/19, there was a room used solely for the an art gallery; however, all the walls of all the rooms were covered in art that you could buy. A great touch! As for the treatments, the students are insanely good. All of them must go off to expensive spas, as I would be more than willing to pay three to five star resort spa prices for how I am treated and how the treatments go! I have had a lot of the facials, bacial (ugh, so good - a nice treatment and massage all wrapped into one), and the chemical peels. A friend and I love the peels so much, we have decided to make it a monthly thing. We will probably switch it up, but that is how much we love coming here! We have a girl's day once a month on our planners! read more

Props to this school (specifically the lovely teachers here) for giving me confidence professionally, but more importantly personally. They provided a home-, as well as a learning experience here to little old me. I genuinely looked forward to everyday I came to clinic, it was quite the luxurious experience. And the teachers work their hineys off, giving 100% every day which sounds exhausting but they seem to enjoy it. The variety of people was quite refreshing as well, they provided their own tips and tricks for all the niches to navigate in the esthetic world, yes it was a sad day to leave. read more

Denver Integrative Massage School - Most encouraging teacher, deserves the world - Massage Schools Near Me - Denver, Colorado

I loved the overall experience from the first day of class. I enrolled winter 2020 and They accommodated us (the students) during the whole pandemic!!! We had to do the rest of our school work via online class. I believe they did great job transitioning to online classes considering everything going on during that time! The knowledge obtained here feels like it sets you apart as a practitioner which is another plus.I am truly grateful for the teachers and staff they are amazing! I would definitely recommend this school to anyone looking to learn and grow in the health-wellness industry! read more

I was referred to this school by the women I was already seeing for my services that had gone to the School of Botanical & Medical Aesthetics themselves and spoke so highly of it. It is the most affordable and yet also the most extensive training you can get. AND it is super convenient with options for full-time, part-time, evenings or weekends AND they have their own full service clinic so you can knock out your training hours. I did the immersion program and then leisurely did my clinic hours and exams and was still licensed in less than a year! On top of that, the locations are central in Denver, the staff is incredible, and you can get trainings in additional modalities to make you marketable for your career. I was offered jobs before I was even done! THIS ONE. THIS is the school for you! read more

This school is home to a community that changed my life! I entered the massage program in January interested in developing a newfound skill and seeing where it could take me, and I came away from the experience with more knowledge, passion, and connection than I could have imagined. The teachers are so knowledgeable, supportive, and compassionate and they really gave me a solid foundation of skills and experience to begin my journey in bodywork. Between them and the community of like-minded students I was with, we never failed to carry interesting conversations about anything and everything. I was introduced not only to massage, but a whole wide world of modalities, therapies, spiritualities, and holistic health ideas giving me the roots to keep learning and growing for a lifetime! On top of the amazing experiences I had in class, the owner Hillary and the rest of the staff made it apparent every step of the way that they were devoted to supporting me and my individual situation whenever they could. From offering a variety of course schedules to sign up for, to accommodating the varying learning styles between individuals, to working tirelessly to overhaul the classes to an online platform just to make sure that my education was as seamless as could be hoped for when Covid came, to helping me personally connect with the best internship I could have asked for when that time came... the list goes on! I just feel so grateful to have been a part of this labor of love that is DIMS! read more

Choosing SBMA for school was one of the best decisions I've made. From enrolling to applying for graduation, the process was so easy. Staff is responsive which made learning that much easier. This program is a wonderful option for anyone who has a packed schedule and needs flexibility. Going to esthetician school was a complete career change for me, the teachers were so welcoming, full of energy and information. The clinic environment was so welcoming that it made learning not only fun, but easy. The teachers at this school are amazing, you can tell they genuinely enjoy what they do. I truly enjoyed my experience at SBMA, made some genuine friends and feel like I've set myself up for a really successful career. If you are hesitant at all about this school, don't be. They literally will not let you fail! read more

This place is one of the best kept secrets in Denver, ridiculously cheap pricing for services ranging from facials to massage to microdermabrasion. Scheduling online is easy and they tend to put out the schedule a month ahead of time so you can plan. They send emails with specials of the month so you can get an extra 20% off of already low prices--that's what I'm talking about! I'm a huge fan of their facials and dermaplaning but wasn't too impressed with the massage portion but I think it was due to the student who worked on me and lack of personality or knowledge. Other that than I will keep coming back to this place again and again! Parking can be dicey, it's pretty much street parking thanks to the clinic having only four spots for clients. read more

I had such an amazing experience attending this school, I started January 2021 and just recently finished. There are many different program options that can fit into any schedule, I stuck with the weekend program since I work M-F 9-5. I took my time completing the program and I'm so glad I did. The instructors are so knowledgeable and supportive, between them and my fellow classmates I was inspired everyday. Admissions & administration are always so helpful and there to answer any of my questions. I know I made the right choice attending SBMA, I am confident that I got the best education possible. :) read more

Where else could one possibly turn to learn massage in an immersive program?! I enrolled in the five week program and had my license within six months, seems fast, and though there may have been gaps in my experience upon graduation, I made up those gaps very quickly! As a now practicing LMT in Colorado- I'll say there is a huge advantage in learning in a heavily Thai inspired environment. As I accept more hours, the body mechanics involved in Thai, as integrated into a Swedish based industry have been indispensable- i have a distinct feel that my body received less abuse and I am more versatile in addressing client's needs. That- and the staff and instructors could not have been more engaged and lovely... felt and feels like a family. Where I work now, a coworker is a grad, and immediately we had amazing report! Hundred percent- if you feel the call to bodywork, look into dims, visit! The student clinic is also quite more affordable- and the massage is quality! read more

Jen is a great teacher! She has a lot of knowledge and experience in her class! And the environment is so clean and nice that you can take classes comfortably. I would high recommend this for future students. read more

Denver Integrative Massage School was such an amazing experience. I learned so much in the 6 months I attended school. I started after the pandemic in January 2021. They were so organized with their online Zoom classes and pulling the info over into the clinic. They prepared me in several massage modalities, anatomy and pathology and real life scenarios. They have great relationships will several internship locations where you can get real hands on experience with massage outside of the clinic. The teachers are amazing!!! Everyone of them taught me new techniques and body mechanics in order to be able to work in the industry long term. The admins are just as amazing and make the entire process of enrolling, attending and graduating a breeze. You will not be disappointed in your decision to attend here for massage therapy! read more

Denver Integrative Massage School - School Entrance - Massage Schools Near Me - Denver, Colorado

My absolute favorite college I have attended!!! Teachers are kind and helpful!!! Very caring and professional! Highly recommend.

I mean, where do I even start honestly? There are so many amazing things that I have to say about this school I'm not sure I can list them all in a review. I started the Aesthetics program in March. We had three in person classes and then COVID-19 hit Denver hard and the school was mandated by the state to close. Being a new student, I was SO impressed with how the school handled the pandemic. With composure, grace and incredible organization and flexibility they moved our classes to zoom calls and reconfigured the clinics so we could continue our education safely and effectively. The administration department is absolutely amazing! They are so SO organized, helpful, and just there for you as a student as support in many ways. They are basically therapists at some times too ;) Jen, Sam, and Julia always respond so quickly and they get work DONE! Amazing group of ladies, I can't thank them enough for all that they have done for me during my time at school. Now to talk about my teachers. It is funny because usually in a school environment you tend to gravitate towards one or two teachers as favorites/connect with them the best. There is no way I could decide who my favorite teacher is. I love them all so much, and they all bring such unique and different perspectives and energies to the table. They all love what they do and come to class just loving to share their talents with us as students! They are all so positive and forward thinking! It really is an incredible group of humans to get the pleasure of working with. Kat is the most positive, lovely, energetic soul and the make-up QUEEN! She is so knowledgable and nurturing, spending the days with her is so fun and she always keeps it moving! Michelle is our waxing expert and so supportive and amazing and always wants to talk skin with us. Her energy is so uplifting and warm. Basically spending time with her in school is like a giant hug and I love it. Jenn is the absolute sweetest human I have ever met in my entire life and SUCH a wealth of knowledge. She has worked in so many different aesthetic settings for so long and knows how to teach us and explain things so well. I will absolutely miss belly laughing with her during school. Nicole is newer to the school but she fit right in like she had worked there for years! What a cool person! She is the laser and med-spa expert and really just so incredibly knowledgable about everything. She is amazing at instructing in a laid back way that always makes you feel comfortable but you know she will always correct you and share information when needed, I love her teaching style!! Martin not only has his own skincare line that we use in school but he is an incredible esthetician, so incredibly knowledgable about nutrition, herbalism, and holistic aesthetics in general. His zoom class presentations were so amazingly helpful and full of information I will value for the rest of my life! I would also like to say I have loved getting to vicariously spend time with the massage instructors who are also incredible humans. Shauna is the cutest most loving bad-ass goddess I have ever met and also happens to be the creator of the CBD skincare line, Color-Up that we use in school! So awesome. And Logan is the sweetest mermaid massage therapist I have ever seen. To wrap up this insanely long review, Hillary has done an incredible job of cultivating a community of instructors and students that change the game of Aesthetics. This isn't your typical aesthetician training program, this is a life changing experience that gives you the skills to rock the industry and friends to keep forever. With my graduation coming up soon I am excited and feel prepared to start my career as an esthetician but I am also sad I won't get to be able to spend my days learning with this incredible group of people. I do hope that in the future I will get to keep working with them all!!! If you are looking to become an esthetician or masssage therapist or nutritionist or herbalist. Look no further because there is nothing better than this school. read more

DIMS is an AMAZING massage school. The price is more than right, and there are so many different options to choose from as far as class times go, making it super feasible and convenient for anyone! I started attending classes when my baby was just 4 months old, and the school was more than accommodating for me. The teachers are brilliant, patient, and professional, guaranteeing you will be more than ready for the field upon graduation. The classes are up to date and relevant, and the Thai yoga massage certification has definitely set me apart from other therapists currently working. The education I received from DIMS made it to where I felt comfortable and ready to give amazing bodywork as soon as I was certified, and even gave me the confidence to start my own practice. My time at DIMS was truly invaluable! If you've been looking for a massage school unlike any other, look no more! read more

I truly enjoyed my training program at SBMA. They have a range of instructors with different backgrounds/experience which gave me a good range of training. As soon as I walked in the building I knew I was in the right place (and I had researched a couple other local programs) and felt that way until graduation. I felt I got a good education and was well prepared to enter the field of aesthetics. I heard from a few places I interviewed with, when I was looking for a job, that SBMA is a reliable school to hire new estheticians from. I felt prepared for my boards and passed both on the first try. Well worth the tuition and time! I highly recommend SBMA! read more

I have been coming here for months for my facials. The students are great and the instructors are so freaking helpful. My acne has started to subside and I find their advice incredibly helpful, especially the at home after care. P.S. Pleeeeeeease bring back Brazilians!!! read more

Client here not a student: I went in for an age defy facial and I enjoyed it. They use great products (Sanitas) and the student I received the facial from was professional and explained each step in the facial. My skin felt refreshed and soft after my facial. The one thing I didn't care for is that you generally don't get a private or even a semi-private space, you are in a big room with several other people so it is difficult to relax and enjoy the experience. Even if they had fabric dividers it would help (they could easily string cables across the room and hang curtains up). Also, you have no way of knowing the level of experience the individual you are booking with has or other customers experiences with said student. I was tempted to book a chemical peel, but I'm very nervous about having an inexperienced student do a procedure on me that could cause a chemical burn. Also, parking is a pain since it is street parking only in a congested area. read more

This program was exactly what I was looking for and MORE!! Everyone who teaches here is obviously SO passionate about what they do and it's incredibly inspiring to observe and practice each teacher's unique techniques -- of which you learn MANY. I did the massage intensive & it was awesome to be totally submerged in the world of body-work right away. Also the online option for doing the Anatomy & Pathology classes was really cool, it allowed me to start work right after the 4 months were over and finish school at my own speed -- also the teachers for the science courses are fantastic!! Highly recommend!!! read more

I absolutely LOVE this school and their philosophy on esthetics and massage as It's truly a holistic completely natural approach. I have gotten a couple 90 minute Thai massages and you simply can't beat the high level of professionalism, the ambiance and the price for a 90 minute Thai massage! I HIGHLY recommend! read more

I was very pleased with my program at SBMA. I have been a massage therapist for over 19 yrs and have wanted to get my esthetician license for many years. I was living in Texas in 2019 just before Covid changed the world and so my plans were put on hold. We moved to Colorado for my husbands job transfer and began to look again into esthetician training here. After reviewing a couple of schools here in CO. I choose SBMA for many reasons. The way they structured their learning during Covid allowed us to have many choices as to how we wanted to learn and still go about our education. One thing I really liked was I was able to do an Internship with a few esthetician and get plenty of "real life" experience! While in class or on Zoom any time we had a question it was addressed immediately. Even when we were not in class and had questions we could email our instructors at any time and they would get back to us and a timely manner! At clinic our instructors were knowledgeable and extremely helpful as they guided us in our learning process. I enjoyed my learning and the entire process at SBMA. read more

So excited to be entering a new career after my training at this great school! Excited to see advanced training options as well!

I have been here three times since April 2016 and this place is awesome! I have had three different massage students work on me and each have brought their own style to the table (no pun intended) for my 90 minute deep tissue treatment. Today was my third time and the massage student was incredibly communicative and met my needs, despite it being her first time working on a person. The lead instructor, Hannah, was very effective at giving her hands-on (no pun intended) pointers about what's best for my needs. Hannah and the student worked on me simultaneously at various points and despite the intensity of two women working on you at the same time, it was a fun and relieving experience. I definitely will be returning soon for another session. read more

I've been a loyal client of the Esthetics School since August 2013 and don't have enough praises to bestow upon the program, staff and students. I come primarily for their extremely affordable waxing services (they wax everything), but have enjoyed all manner of other beauty treatments they offer (some of which I hadn't even heard of before --dermaplaning, chemical peels, eyelash tinting etc--and none which I would be able to afford at full-price). As long as they're still in business, I honestly can't see myself going to a salon or med-spa for any of these services. Why would I? They do such a thorough job, the atmosphere is very relaxing, and you seriously can't beat the price. Of my dozens of waxing appointments, I've only had a couple student clinicians whose work wasn't up to par with that of full-price waxing studios. Since the students have expert supervision and help from their teachers, stray hairs don't go unnoticed. Oftentimes the students do a better job than professional waxers who are rushed on a time limit, and who charge an unbelievable $80 for a full leg wax. Here it's only $24, and you'd be surprised at how many opportunities they give you throughout the year to get half-price services. The other day I treated myself to a microderm (which included a nice foot/leg massage), underarm and half-leg wax, and lash tinting and it was only $52!!! Un-real! The results were spectacular too. I've always had pleasant interactions with the students, who are remarkably well-rounded and intelligent individuals from all sorts of backgrounds. They, along with my favorite supervisors Martin and Tiffany, have useful and honest advice for skin and beauty conundrums, and are always eager to help. This past winter/spring I did a series of 5 chem peels for $120 total, and I was blown away at how effective they were. Addicted to deep exfoliation now! It's super clean and everything smells very natural and botanical. They carry products from the Image Skincare line as well as Dr. Hauschka, but they are never pushy about selling them. Sometimes your service will be in a private room, but most appointments are done in a big open space with dividers for privacy. For me it feels just fine, but others accustomed to fancier arrangements might not enjoy the layout. A couple other things: -You have to set up an online account to book beauty and massage appointments. They're very easy to book and cancel, and you can see specific students' schedules if you really liked someone's work. - Allow plenty of time for parking and walking from your parking space, as it's nestled in a high-density area of big apartment complexes. - Do bring cash for tips, as you can't tip with a credit card. As someone on a budget, I am truly grateful for the amazing services they provide. I would never have even considered getting any of the skin care treatments that I do on a regular basis here, but I'm so glad that I can get them at the right price. My skin looks better than it ever has! (I can't believe anyone would pay $450 for 3 chemical peels!!) And I save hundreds of dollars a year on waxing. Anyway, high recommendations all around. TREAT YO SELF! read more

I decided to go with the School of Botanical Aesthetics after visiting the school and having an awesome meeting with Kristy in the office that made me feel like the school's philosophy was the best fit for me. Every weekend that I arrive to class I feel at home like I am right where I am supposed to be. The staff are friendly and knowledgeable and make sure that we receive a personalized experience when we are in class. Hillary and all of the instructors have great experiences to share with us and teach in a very warm way, while still making sure that we will be well prepared to practice outside of school and pass the state boards. I spent about 3 months of researching what the best school is in Denver to become a licensed esthetician. Let me tell you, I made the right choice with the school of botanical and medical aesthetics! The program takes you through all the necessary skills that you will need to know. And the teachers are incredibly helpful, friendly and fun. I learned so much from watching, listening and practicing everything in class. It is incredibly important to learn in a comfortable and fun environment and this is 100% one of those places. I recently completed the classroom portion of the Aesthetics Skincare Immersion program offered by the school, and I absolutely loved it! The curriculum is very well rounded, and includes things not included in other Aesthetics programs. Chemical Peels, Microdermabrasion and Dermaplaning are usually additional certificates that have to be obtained, but this school includes them in your program for no additional cost. The director of Aesthetics, Emily Davis is awesome, knowledgeable, and knows how to teach you technical processes in a way that are relatable so you understand them. She was a huge part of why my experience here was so rewarding! Martin(of Marin George Skin line) is an incredible instructor as well. He has been in practice for years, and has developed his own skincare line. He made learning fun, and his vast knowledge is actually staggering. He is a well of valuable information and quick with a smile! I could go on and on about Tiffany, Katherine and Deanna, the other instructors, and how amazing they are, but I'll simply say that if you're looking for an Aesthetics education that is worth your time, and money (but actually affordable) look no further! You will not regret choosing this school. I sure don't! If I HAD to list a drawback...it would be that because this school is in such high demand, the class size is a bit too large. We had 24 in my class, and 18-20 would've been ideal. The school isn't large, so things could be cramped, and rushed in order to get thru all the services. Still, I got what I feel to have been a fantastic education! read more

I truly loved my time at DIMS! The teachers are a wealth of knowledge, in many healing modalities besides just massage, and they all have so so much to offer their students. Going to clinic never failed to be a grounding and peaceful experience, no matter what craziness is going on in your life, you can expect to walk in to school and have a couple hours of meditation, relaxation, laughter and lots of learning & good conversation. Everything was always streamlined...from zoom classes to clinic shifts. The entire staff is an efficient, well organized, and knowledgeable team! Top-tier educational experience. If you're looking for the most thorough and professional educational experience, SBMA should be you're number one choice. SBMA has by far the most educated instructors. They take the time to give you constructive feedback and push you to the next level. An added bonus is the included advanced modality courses that are a part of the tuition. Now in the industry, and meeting others that went to other schools, I realized how vastly superior my education is over theirs. I have become a regular of The School of Botanical Aesthetics (SBA) and Denver Integrative Massage School (DIMS) and try to turn anyone I like on to this gem of self care too. Hillary and her DIMS folks and Martin and his SBA staff and students are capable of my PITA ways with repeated visits for explicit requests without vocally judging me. I have received services here easily rivaling services at high-end spas. Some students are better than others since they are supervised students but you can give constructive feedback during your session to improve your experience and the experiences of others coming after you. The DIMS school was integral in my last pregnancy with a piriformis + IT band issue I had that one student with a therapy background finally took care of in one surprise session. I recommend them to my prenatal and athlete friends all the time because you never know the full background of the student you work with A big tip is keep an ear out for community offerings and do not be a jerk because the school may open up to you in even better ways beyond just a paying client in a session. The school has also turned me on to new products in my repertoire and I am thrilled for the new herbalism program they are expanding with. read more

They are supportive and push every student to succeed. Students are not seen as a number, but as individuals who they care about.
