They make themselves available during office hours, are always willing to answer questions, and often spend extra time helping students who need it. On top of that, the school offers free tutoring for every class, which has been an amazing resource. Nursing school is challenging, and I think it's important for prospective students to understand that success requires a significant time commitment. I spend around 20 hours a week studying outside of class, and for me, not working while in the program has made a huge difference. This isn't an easy program, but if you're willing to put in the time and effort, there are plenty of resources and people who genuinely want to help you succeed. I've had a very positive experience so far and would absolutely recommend Denver College of Nursing to anyone who is prepared for the hard work that nursing school requires.

The class is taught by a Certified Master Inspector, and is not just the rehashing of the online curriculum, but a supplement and expansion to the online courses. In the Master's Class there is a business and marketing component where Wade shows us what marketing efforts he has done that work, and what haven't been a good ROI. I am looking forward to the ride along inspections and feel confident that I will have the support and resources from Axium when I open my own business.

I started my surgical technology program at Pima Medical Institute (Denver) in December 2018. The…read morelength of program was 18 months. Initially, I intended to enroll in the radiologic technology program, which is also offered at Pima. However, after discovering the surgical technology program by a complete accident during a site visit, I thought it is the best decision I've ever made since. My experience at Pima was quite unique and embedded with lots of good memories, especially with friends whom I met from the same cohort. The instructors were genuinely kind and truly cared about the success of each individual student. The didactic curriculum was reasonably structured with concomitant hands-on experience in the surgical simulation lab which I thought was extremely beneficial in terms of preparation for the clinical rotation. The simulation operating room was well-equipped and set up, which offered a great opportunity to practice and master your clinical skills. Ms. Van, our lab instructor and lecturer, was super helpful and passionate about teaching. It appeared naturally to me that she really enjoyed teaching, especially when it came to the skill demonstration during the simulation lab. Approximately two weeks after the start of my clinical rotation at the University Hospital as a surgical tech student, the peak of the COVID pandemic came by the end of March 2020. The hospital where I was rotating at was forced to enforce a restriction access policy, which essentially affected all students. My clinical rotation was inevitably suspended for three months. During that time, my clinical director continuously fought to find alternative clinical sites for all of us. In the end, I finally had a chance to complete my clinical hours at Denver Health hospital, which happened to be the place that I was employed and ended up working at as a certified surgical technologist. I loved my job and felt very confident in my skill competency thanks to everything that I was taught at Pima. I am currently a PA student at Chapman University in Irvine, CA. Every time I reflect on my educational journey and how it leads me on the path where I am today, it always reminds me of the wonderful people that I met at Pima and Denver Health along with the great memories that they left within me. It was being the surgical tech that gave me the motivation to pursue the dream of becoming a surgical PA. To any prospective students who are interested in or thinking about becoming a surgical technologist, I believe Pima Medical Institute (Denver, CO) is a great place for you to start. The faculty really set a high standard for the program, which can only be appreciated if you truly care about your surgical patients and their outcome and want to be a GREAT surgical technologist in the OR.

What a waste of my time!!…read more Here's the long story, in January 2025 I went in to talk about the X-ray tech training because I saw the advertisement outside the building. I talked to the advisor about the program and was told the next opening doesn't start until January 2026. I thought that's a long ways away but was told that will give me plenty of time to get ready, ok fine. A month later I had to take a test on the computer (I forgot the name of it) to get a good enough score. I got a 23 first time and then was told I should do it again so I had to come back a week later and I got a 25.I was told I got a good enough score and should be fine. A couple months later I went back in to see my advisor if I'm on the right track, at this point, I was now told the X-ray program won't start until March 11th, 2026. I thought that would've been nice to been told that sooner but whatever. So the next step was a face to face interview with the X-ray tech "head-lead" person. I had the interview on October 31, 2025 and I thought the interview went well. I was specifically told that I would know if I got in the program or not and that she would email me by the end of the first week of December, great. The end of the first week of December comes and no response, I wait another week, no response. I emailed my advisor, who in the past would get back to me in a timely matter, about whether I got in the program or not, no response!! I never heard back from this place. It's honestly so bizarre and I'm counting my blessings that I didn't just pay them $55,000. What gets me mad is the fact that I wasted a year dealing with this place and not doing something else that values my time. I knew the ratings for this place were bad, but I'm the type who still likes to see because maybe it's not as bad as people say. Well sadly it's true for me.

I was a welding student at Lincoln who just graduated. I was there for just over a year. My first…read moreever class was taught by Austin Sleep. Austin was very helpful, always excited to teach and created an atmosphere of energy and enthusiasm for welding. He got us excited for the jobs to come and for what we could do with welding. Needless to say, I enjoyed my first two classes with him and improved very quickly. My third class is where things got messy. I understand that a lot of the time, classes will go from 110, to 120 then to a random class, and then back to 130. The teachers are like "that'll happen." I think this shows how unprepared this school is. WEL120 is a stick welding class. Going from 120 to 140, which is TIG, is majorly difficult. We never even learned how to fill up a groove with stick before we had to tackle flat, horizontal, and vertical fillet welds. Then, with only 2 weeks left, we were expected to also learn flat, horizontal, vertical and overhead groove welds. My entire class was discouraged. Many dropped out or flunked out. If everyone is struggling, something was obviously done wrong by the teachers. Austin was by far the most helpful. Dillon, Todd and Lopez are all condescending and very obviously fed up with teaching. Todd always looks at you like you have two heads, and Dillon always gives some snarky remarks back to you when asking a question. Yes this is blue collar work, but a teacher should be fully engaged in helping the students. The classes move too fast. 5 weeks for each process and type of weld. 5. For classes such as fabrication, MIG pipe or any plate classes, this is a good amount of time. But 5 weeks to learn 3 positions with stick is not a very long time. Especially if none of the instructors are willing to help. I had to watch youtube videos the whole time I was here to fully grasp the concept. They also cut you off completely from any new metal the day you graduate. I could understand this if they actually taught you how to use a plasma cutter to cut up old scrap. But no. They say "let me know when you need some cut" but then are never around or refuse to help you cut it. All together, I say to the reader, DONT WASTE YOUR MONEY!! You can learn as much here as you can getting a helper job somewhere. If all you want to do is fabrication or structural welding, it's okay. But if you actually want to learn how to pipe weld, good luck.

I expected to learn how to identify and fix problems in an automobile like the school advertised. Instead I got lazy instructors who couldn't be bothered to do their job. Have a question? don't bother asking the instructor cause he is either heavly intoxicated (drunk), asleep, or just didn't bother to show up at all. I am not exaggerating when I say drunk, there were at least 4-5 times an instructor came to class intoxicated and more times then I can count not even showing up. This doesn't go for all instructors, but it's a good 85%. this is a joke of a "school" SAVE YOUR MONEY FOR SOMETHING BETTER! OR A DIFFERENT SCHOOL! worst 40k I will ever spend in my lifetime.
