She was alert but sweet and listened all the way she didn't judge me for anything she was attentive and courteous she respected me and made me feel so relived I came. Fifteen years ago, after my husband and I had tried to conceive for 4 years without success, we felt strongly about adoption because we wanted a family more than anything else. It was all fast enough, my husband had a good job so we could afford all the fees and demands!! After a few months working on the home study and another seven months waiting we received the call! She was a beautiful baby girl, and looked in good healthy... we were finally a family of three and we were happy. As discussed with our caseworker (June Santoro), we had plans for at least one more adoption. We had to wait until our baby turn 18 months if we wanted start another process... and there was, another 5 or 6 months working on another home study as if it was our first... but it was fine! The second adoption however, was taking longer, and we even had to renew our home study by paying another fee... 3 years passed by and no phone call, but today we understand why! We adopted a FASD child, and although we received information about the dangers of alcohol while pregnant we were omitted if not deceived about critical information that would result in early care and services for this child and today we wouldn't be living the nightmare we are in!!! Without knowing that the child adopted from Bethany is a FASD child, we ended up adopting two more little girls years later, after giving up on waiting for them! Problem is, FASD kids has better chances being if she is the only child in the house, we didn't know any of this until earlier this year and only God knows what we have been through already!! Today is 12/23, only 2 days before Christmas, and my husband is at a mental facility trying to get her admitted for dysregulation!! They are the most difficult people to live with and we are torn in pieces love, hate and regrets!!! Please, be aware about adopting with them! Make sure you don't get deceived!!

They have next day availability and told me he would do a "pre-abortion work up" and an ultrasound. He also said that if my friend was infected, they would treat that first because some treatments could make an infection spread. I don't know what he was talking about. He said that their office in Queens was across from a medical office that provides abortions, but he said that they don't have an official relationship with that place. The call skeeved me out. I would NOT go there.
