The giant washing machine is the best thing ever for washing a weeks worth of clothes in an hour. You can use liquid detergent, fabric softener and even good scent beads in the washer. The dryers are awesome and have low,med and high heat settings. If you separate colors and whites, you could use the small or medium size washers too. I love that I can Apple Pay right through the laundry machine app. I usually start the washer and then run for groceries and Starbucks. Then go back and switch my stuff to dryers. Sit around and decompress for 20 minutes then start folding everything on the nice stainless steel folding tables. Totally worth loading up the car and going to lighthouse laundry mat for an hour instead of spending all day at home running the washer back to back. It's feels like 'me' time. I will never come back to this laundromat . Everything is overpriced, clothes came out of the washing machine soaking wet, you cannot add small increments of time to the dryer so have to pay $1.25 each time, the dryers were dirty, and you have to use their laundry card, which charges a dollar for it and it doesn't say upfront. The whole thing is a scam. read more

Extremely disappointed with this laundromat. I used the large washing machine, which cost $11.75--outrageously expensive. After the cycle ended, my clothes were still soaking wet. Then I paid $1.75 for just 17 minutes in the dryer, and guess what? Everything was still wet. The prices are ridiculous for the poor quality of service. This is supposed to be in an "uplifted" area, but clearly, the standards didn't get the memo. Waste of money, time, and energy. Poor, poor, poor. Completely dissatisfied. Very clean, and quiet. As a woman alone, I felt safe going here during the day. Riri was incredibly kind and sweet to me. Best dang laundromat I have ever seen. I traveled coast to coast, Canada and Mexico with my 5th wheel RV and had to use MANY laundromats. Never have I seen one as clean, as modern and as friendly as this one. It takes a little getting used to using their "money card" system but once you have been shown (by very friendly staffer) it is sooo much better than carrying quarters around with you all the time. Highly recommend especially to travelers like me. When you're in the area look them up. read more

Cool so they did a renovation, and put in only card reading new machines & it's only their preloaded cards. It's really clean & the machines are beautiful. However, I don't think You can never get your card to a zero balance and once you load money on & decide you don't like it, you can't get the money back. The people are great. The only thing about it is the dryers. They work so well that they may shrink your clothes.

Very clean and well-kept establishment. I've always had a pleasant experience during every visit. Staff is very nice and helpful.

The machines are old except the front load which leave your clothes soaking wet. To put them even a good dryer like that is awful on clothes, not to mention the ancient ones here that have duck tape inside on the drum. Imagine what that does to your clothes and towels. Ruined. I should also mention I have lost 2 good pieces of clothes here. I did not leave them, they were taken by the night help, imho. When I asked about lost and found I was told there wasn't one. Found out later that was a lie. The help will hunt you down when your dryer is done even when there are 6+ dryers open for use. read more

I just walked in the door and was told "you can't put those in there", meaning my sheets that were still in my arms couldn't go in a machine I have washed them in for months. It's conveniently located and opens early, the older ladies are pretty nice. The dryers are so outdated and your clothes are either melting, or scorching hot because you can not adjust the temp on the dryer so its just HOT. Your clothes will smell burnt and alot of the dryers do not work. The equipment needs to be updated for sure. If they took the time to update the equipment this could really be a decent place. read more

I went here because I was in the south St. Joseph area for an appointment, and wanted to get everything done in one trip. I was surprised that the prices had gone up. But what took away the stars was that the attendant was not wearing a mask at all, and I saw her interacting with other customers face to face. She clearly does not care about the health and well being of the customers. read more

I can only comment on the self service, because the high speed washers and dryers leave no reason to leave. Clean, cute, kitschy with plenty to keep me occupied, like free coffee and tanning (seriously, and 1/4 the price of a tan in Maryland), the washers and dryers were cheap too and the on premise staff are lovely. If they would upgrade their stinky dryers, and put in a card payment system, I would give them 5 stars. Besides the smell, some get so hot you can't even touch the clothes, and others barely get warm. I would happily pay that small service fee that businesses are charged for credit/debit cards. I've been going here on and off for several years and use the self-service. I really like this place because it's always very clean, machines are always available for use, and the staff is helpful and nice. My family and I usually have TONS of laundry to do and we go there once every 2 weeks and get everything done within a few hours. They have free wifi, free coffee, vending machines, tv to watch. This is the only place we go to for our laundry needs. read more
