I paid the $80 and waited for about 30/45 minutes. three employees were working and they were all walking in and out of the building so who's cleaning?? have a look at the photos and see if that's the kind of cleaning you want done for $80. they put my bag over the mess on the passenger seat so i didn't notice until after i drove away. they only partially wiped the driver side of the windshield and i didn't notice until the evening when the lights were clear on one side of the glass. rims and front bumper don't even look like they were touched. crooks and thieves. did not give me a refund. read more

I went to this car wash because there was an exploding line so I assumed people loved it. They used a power washer on the side of my new vehicle causing there to be a huge chip. I filled out an incident report over a MONTH AGO!!! NO CALL BACK. NO CONTACT FROM THE MANAGER. I have been calling for the manager, Layla almost once a week and I get the same response "She is not here, can I take a message?" I leave the SAME message every single time. They tell me the same thing "I will tell her to look at the cameras" Well i'm assuming she hasn't because it's been over a month and I am FED UP!!! Even the guy working said "The chip is too fresh to be old" YES I KNOW I asked the guy that was working what normally happens in these situations and he said "They will do anything to not pay for it, keep bothering them" HOW embarrassing and how unprofessional. Scratches made on my hood. Contacted the company in person and by phone. The 'claims manager' (who also washes off cars before putting them through the tunnel) left me a voicemail letting me know he was denying the claim before even speaking to me. When I called him he again stated he is denying the claim and couldn't talk because he had a line of cars waiting to go in, he was the only employee there at that time. It would be great if they would at least talk to me or even look at the many scratches on my car before blowing me off. He said he would call me back. We will see what happens. Also- back of car was barely cleaned, tire shine got all over the car leaving greasy looking spots, and tire rims still dirty. So the cleaning wasn't even done properly. read more

Brian, the detail person (and ops manager), was superb in all ways possible. Though there were some hiccups with the appt since he had a personal emergency that delayed services, he compensated for it with extra services and a genuinely pleasurable service. I came in with white spots on my black car. It was prob bc I ran it thru the cheap wash at *ahem Autobell*. Brian said a friend of his had the same issue with the same company and that the manager wouldn't do anything about it. I never brought it to their attention bc I am not quite sure if it was the wash (but it seems like a big coincidence now). I was lucky to have Brian's 20 years of detailing expertise to fix the situation. It was not only the price that drew me to this place, it was his years of experience and demeanor of that first conversation that kept me waiting for about 3 weeks before I could successfully come in to have services rendered. [This was due to the emergency I spoke of and my personal sched.] All in all, it took 2 hours for the 2x detail package. I subbed in two of the exteriors since that was my main point of concern, the white spots. Brian was willing to accommodate this and other extras for my trouble(s): exterior wash, cleaned under the hood, cleared the vent, shampooed trunk, vacuum and dusted interior, and shined my tires. Man, my car looked and smelled like it was brand new! Other tidbits: I believe the basic washes start at $6. If you sign up for their email listing, you can get $5 off a $15 and above wash. Vacuums here are always free. They also have a machine that cleans your floor mats. Haven't tried them myself, but it seems interesting as I have never seen this before. This is also free. FYI: If you're here for a detailing job, there's a Starbucks right next door. They also have a drop off service if you're nearby. Also, you can text their number if you're not feeling like talking. Conclusion: This place has honest people who won't rip you off. A good service and good price. Do it bc other places in metro Atl charges more. The car wash was ok. I paid for my wheels to get shined and cleaned and as you can see in the pictures that was not the case. The service here was not good as people make it out to be. I felt like a was getting scolded for not putting my car on neutral when I wasn't even going in yet. I do however think there should be a sign on what packages come with the wash or the details of the services because I was having a difficult choosing the one that I needed since there wasn't anything around to show me. read more

It took me a few years, but I finally managed to make the 36-minute drive from my home in Midtown all the way up to the Lawrenceville-Snellville border to have my car detailed by the guys at Lighthouse Express Car Wash. Was it worth it? Yes. I actually wish I had done it sooner. Since 2001, I've always detailed my car myself. I never let anyone else clean my car until now (2016). After my experience, I plan to bring my car back to Lighthouse at least a couple times a year. Well, at least as long as Brian Hah (manager) is around. He and his team took extremely great care of me and my car. I'm a very happy customer! At its core, Lighthouse is an express car wash where you run your car through a machine. I'm weary of these types of places because I'm afraid the machines will damage my car. However, after riding through the machine at Lighthouse, I can say that their machine wash is very impressive. It gave my car a thorough-yet-gentle wash, complete with a light coat of "wax" and Rain-X water repellent, as well as a wheel cleaning and Black Magic tire shine. They use several of the name brands I used at home. You can swing by anytime for a machine wash, but if you want to get your car detailed, you have to make an appointment. I made mine on Lighthouse's website at http://lhecarwash.com/detail/. I got the Gold Level Detail which costs $150 (for a sedan) and includes both a full interior and exterior detail. On the website, the estimated time to complete the Gold Level Detail is 4-8 hours. I estimate they finished my car in only 3 hours, maybe even less. They did an excellent job with my car and I thought the price was worth it because if I had done it myself, I'd have easily spent an entire day of manual labor when all that time could have been better spent doing something else. I've already worked all week. Why spend a weekend day doing more work? For the exterior detail, my car got a thorough pressure wash and hand wash before entering the machine wash. The pressure wash included a wash under my hood (the hood itself and the engine) as well as all door jambs -- those are places I didn't do at home. The washes also included a thorough wheel and tire cleaning. My wheels are not easy to clean (lots of spokes), but they did a nice job on them by hand. After the washes, my car got waxed and Armor All was applied to my car's base molding at my request. The interior was vacuumed and cleaned. Windshield, windows, and mirrors were wiped inside and out. My rubber mats were cleaned. My leather seats were cleaned and conditioned. Finally, some goodies were left in my car including a cleaning cloth, air freshener, glass cleaner, Armor All wipe, and leather wipe. How nice. While my car was being detailed, I waited inside the lobby. I brought my laptop and used Lighthouse's free Wi-Fi. The Wi-Fi speeds were fast. I received the most amazing car detail here! While passing through Lawrenceville, I decided to stop by. The staff was warm and welcoming. The location is convenient to the Shoppes at Web Gin. I browsed Victoria's Secret, Charming Charlie and Sprouts while I waited for my car. After about an hour and some change my vehicle was ready. It was as if they had restored both the interior and exterior to its original factory condition. They even buffed out a few scratches on the fender. I've never had my seats shampooed before. I'm a first time customer- but I visit many different tunnel based carwashes around the southeast. This review may seem a bit on the harsh side, but I'm comparing this wash to some of the best around. The price to value margin on this particular wash is not very good, particularly the highest tier ($25). Lower tiers are much higher value though, would not recommend spending above $15 for the automatic wash. Pros: This wash is fast. In and out super fast. Wash staff are attentive and take time to apply presoak with a brush before entry (this alone gets you an extra star over my base score). Vacuums worked well and bays are well fitted, look pretty modern . Cons: This wash is fast. There isn't a whole lot of cleaning action going on in this short tunnel and each section has absolutely minimal action time before passing to the next. You're not getting a lot of that pH dirt lifting action here, it's all running together and then you're out the door. Negatives: This is where you lose 3 stars on this review (but you get one back above). The actual wash tunnel is anything but state of the art and definitely not worth the very high tier prices. There's ancient wash gear in there (that trumpet dryer must have been old stock in a warehouse somewhere) that's hiding behind the distracting LED flashing lights. Once you look past the LED lights, you can find signs of decay almost immediately. Numerous parts of the signage is dead, falling apart or looks like it came from the 80's. There's fairly heavy contamination built up on the machinery and fixed surfaces (the calcification crystals on the last LED bar before the dryer is telling). The presoak buckets would be less concerning if they were maybe cleaned on the outside, they look greasy or very moldy. The wash track guides looked excessively worn, but I didn't get out and inspect them. There wasn't enough dry time and the car left pretty wet, although this didn't really matter because it was raining. Conclusion: I think you're trying to fit too many features into this rather small "express style" location. I feel this could have been a 5 star review with a few changes, namely trying less hard to fit all the latest gimmicks into the tunnel and reducing the wash tiers accordingly. A less "crowded" wash that offered a higher quality cleaning performance and better equipment conditions, if you will. The potential second best option might be to slow the track speed down a little and get much better wash coverage, but you'd still have to deal with the competing wash products being so close together. At least the high pressure nozzles wouldn't trace an S over the car as it blows through. Other washes with your current feature set have a track nearly 3x as long. read more

My old car needed a wash and some TLC. I finally came to the right place at Lighthouse Express Car Wash. As soon as I drove in there, the automated machine greeted me and asked if I wanted an upgrade. I did one upgrade. Then I moved along to the tunnel and the attendants helped to scrub the bugs off my car bumper. I told the attendant to say hello to Brian, the general manager there. His attendant went into the office and Brian came out with a friendly smile and waved. All staff and manager were very friendly and the attendant signaled me to place my shift on Neutral. I did and the car moved along smoothly in the tunnel. The car was washed, including the under carriage. I was very glad. It went through the dryer and hot wax too. Then I drove my car to the other side and the attendants helped with the rest of the process. My car came out looking fabulous and the wax looked great. I am definitely coming back to Lighthouse Express Car Wash. Thank you very much, Brian and your great staff. Thank you for showing me how to clean the interior floor mats as well. While vacuuming the floor of the car, Brian noticed that the suction was not strong like it was suppose to be. He went and got a ladder and fixed the issue immediately. Wow! Now, that's what I call superior service. He made sure that the free vacuum worked properly. My wheels were shined as well. He also told me that I needed new tires and a battery for my car. I went and got a new battery and four new tires the next day. It was great to have a friend at Lighthouse to share with me some friendly auto advise. I never want to be stuck on the road. I was really eager to try this new car wash because of the high recommendation, but I wasn't very happy with my service. I did the full service and manager special and even included a $5 tip for the full service "workers", but I wish I would've saved that $5, gone to Walmart across the street and did my "interior service" myself. Granted, there is a difference, but mostly the dust is the only visible change sort from my vacuuming. I was told it would be 15 minutes, but this looks like a 5 minute job. If I ever be compelled to come back here again, I'll use the wash (I just love the colors displayed) and vacuum myself. For now, I'll enjoy my monthly membership at another car wash. Maybe the guy wasn't haven't a great day or something, but their lack of smile and positive attitude made me feel like I was annoying. 3 starts for the mediocre "full service and poor customer service". I took my 2013 black Lexus through this car wash recently, and had to spend two days polishing out the scratches received there by the person with the hand brush/mop. If a muddy vehicle goes through ahead of you, that mud stays either in the brush, or the barrel of soapy water he puts that brush into. I will never go through any car wash again! I'm very picky about my car and was tired of paying $18 and not getting my car even dried off for a full service car wash. I drove to this place for the reviews I saw. Talked to Jim the Manager about what they offered. He was polite and professional and took his time telling what they offered. Liked what I saw and used the car wash. I especially liked the the young man Chuck who carefully guided me into the entrance. Most young people that work at car washes don't care about their job and some are down right careless. Not Chuck, he was well mannered and helpful which I really appreciated. I really liked the price and the vacuum bays were well equipped and easy to use. I really like the compressed air hose to really help vacuum my car out! Overall a great experience with a great staff that works hard to make it easy and affordable to clean your car. "Breaking Bad" has inspired me to do a lot of things. Getting my car washed was among those things. I was nearby and decided to go to Lighthouse Car Wash per many recommendations. I highly recommend checking into Lighthouse on Yelp because you get a free upgrade and other goodies (depending on the upgrade). I love my car and all, but honestly, it's disgusting. Countless bugs have made my front bumper and side view mirrors their deathbeds. The front headlights were dull and opaque. The windshield was glossed with greased and grime. I wish I took a before and after picture of my car for this review. The results were amazing. I had my reservations about what an "express carwash" can do for my car, but damn, she be lookin' good and presentable afterwards. I got full Rainex wash, my windshields have never looked soo fine! Now I won't be so embarrassed to valet park. Woot! Redeeming the check in offer is kind of confusing. Here is what you should do: 1. Pull up to the automated machine 2. Select type of carwash. Go all out brah. Spoil your ride; she takes you places 3. Check in. You have a time limit to redeem offer 4. Pull up to car wash entrance. Present offer to friendly attendent 5. Enjoy a pleasant ride through the carwash. 6. Pull up to complimentary vacuum stations. If you have to run like I did, you can ask to come back to finish up at another time 7. Freak out bc they have free floormat cleaning machines to make your life easier. Use it 8. Look for complimentary Windex and paper towels near carwash entrance to clean the Chick Fila Polynesian sauce spill 9. Get free goodies for getting the ultimate carwash experience. I think it varies, but I got a free towel and bug cleaning wipes Because my car was in such a bad shape, I was offered a personalized service that is currently offered only upon request. They added an additional coat of wax to my car and used a mini buffing machine to buff it to an amazing sheen. I can see my reflection on the hood. That's what's up man! Although they have vending machines in the front, they have a water fountain (and restrooms) in the waiting room. There's free wifi and free Hulu on tv in the waiting room also. I have a very old car so I rarely take it to get it washed anymore but was thoroughly impressed with the results after visiting Lighthouse Express Car Wash. First of all, every time I do go to a car wash, it always rains that same day or the following day so I always feel that I threw my money away but the "Rain X" treatment that was added to my car made a HUGE difference at this facility. They also have self vacuum areas so you can keep your car interiors looking nice and tidy as well. I've never seen my car "shine" like the way it did, days after my visit to Lighthouse Express. It makes me want to revisit every few weeks just to maintain that "new car" look even though my car is more than 10 years old! The staff did a wonderful job of removing my year old brake dust from my rims and my tires have not looked that shiny, ever!! I'm a huge fan and first impressions mean a lot and this car wash facility has proven to me that it's worth the extra $10-$15 dollars to get your car professionally washed because who doesn't want to drive around in a perfectly clean looking vehicle, right!?!? read more

Okay - I wouldn't normally take the time to write a long review about a car wash, but I have to relate a truly positive experience that happened tonight. We have just had days of rain and prior to that I had taken my fairly new truck on a weekend trip so it was covered in dead bugs and lovely bird squeeze and was in need of some serious love. I was out running errands and stopped in to the Lighthouse Express (BIG lighthouse next to Starbucks) and bought the basic wash and a tire shine upgrade for a whopping 8 bucks total. The assistant at the wash was happy and helpful, he even removed my antenna and folded in my mirrors, which I had forgotten to do. Wash was uneventful, but when I was at the vacuums-like a boss-I proceeded to lock my damn keys in my truck... As I was getting my phone out to call family, and if they weren't able to help, the locksmith, I happened to ask an employee if they had any way to get into my truck to help me out in my moment of brilliance. A manager (I believe his name was Brian) who was working near me said, "Sure hang on - I can help you." Well he worked for 15 to 20 minutes on my truck and then... voila! He was able to unlock it, saving me a HUGE amount of hassle and probably big bucks. Thankful, I tried to tip him for his help, but he refused just asking if I could like them on Facebook. Well I will, but wanted to write this Yelp review first. He even gave me some small car wash goodies to ease my harrowing experience! A car wash is not just a car wash, especially when you're talking about Lighthouse Express Car Wash! I took my dirty, old Mazda3 there and they had it looking like new when I drove away. The automated system when you arrive is easy to use. Select the wash that you want, ride through the car wash, and then let their friendly employees take it from there. Yes, I said friendly employees. I hate going to a car wash where everyone working there hates their job. I don't like that negative energy. Employees exhibit positive energy at Lighthouse Express and they actually smile! After riding through the car wash, the employees payed attention to detail (pun intended) on both the interior and exterior of my ride. Great deal and great service! If it weren't for the customer service, I would have given this facility a solid four stars. Good wash, great price, very fast. Definitely the best $20 wash I've gotten anywhere, although there were a few (very small) missed spots. That said, the customer service was awesome. I stopped on my way into work for an exterior wash and interior clean. Unfortunately I didn't see anything saying that interior cleans are only available after 11am. Kendall was really nice and helpful, and I went back on my lunch break for the interior clean. Kendall took care of me when I went back (he even recognized me and immediately referenced our earlier conversation). He did a great job on my car. The manager, Brian, got everything set up since I had purchased the exterior clean in the morning. He was also very friendly and helpful (and super smiley!). I'm so confused as to how this place is ranked so high. I mean maybe if I paid the basic $5 for the wash and self vacuum i would be ok. But i just spent $20 to go through and automatic wash and was told I'd have to vacuum my own car. If I'd known that I would not have gotten the Managers Special! This is ridiculously overpriced! When I expressed my concern to the manager he simply did not care. I mean come on... who's paying $20 for a carwash that they have to self vacuum.
