I paid for them to send a tech to diagnose it and they followed through with the work which is under the 10-year warranty. Tech, Hagen was very nice and professional and made sure to answer all of my questions. Kudos to the office staff, Brittny, Erin and everyone who took my calls while I was eagerly waiting for parts & repair. They treated me very kindly and proactively communicated each step of the way. I had to call them five times before they finally sent someone. Turns out the salesman hadn't secured the door properly, so the safety switch never engaged -- a super easy fix. We had a cold night with small kids in the house and they showed zero urgency fixing a problem they caused. Their quote was also the highest I got. I don't blame the salesman for the mistake, but the company doesn't stand behind their work at all. I'd never use them again and wouldn't recommend them to anyone.

After looking at the problem, the technician said that he could fix the problem and do a general diagnosis of our electrical system for a $500+ fee. Given that he was already in our house and we had several other bids that we turned down, we agreed to this ridiculous fee. The work was done well (probably took 15 minutes); he then suggested that a number of our plugs in the house should be replaced and gave us a bid to do this work for $13K. I will not be using this company ever again. My suggestion: if you use this company, get the pricing up front and be prepared for outrageous fees....even by electricians' standards.
