Wonderful family owned business with exemplary customer service! This was my first time going in for a dry cleaning service and after exploring different places and reading disaster reviews I was mortified. I was so nervous that the suit I was taking in would be a victim of such terror that I was determined to find the right place and I did! I ran into Light House cleaners on yelp, and although, they only had 35 or so reviews I decided to give it a shot! After all they had five stars and I prefer quality over quantity. Man, I do not regret it one bit! My boyfriend's suit was a disaster he had ended up staining his pants with what we believe to be cake at a wedding. The before and after is miracle work. Check it out. If they could fix and remove this there is no doubt in my mind they can remove any stain. I brought it in Thursday and it was ready by Wed but good quality work takes time! If it gets done right I don't mind the wait. She also honored her initial pricing regardless that it ended up being a tough job. I love that honesty and dedication! I also thought it was wonderful that they don't hassle you for tip. I had asked her because after the wonderful job of course I wanted to tip and it turns out they actually donate all their tips to help build a church in Rosarito, Mexico. Francis did a great job with my White coat!it was due for a cleaning, with random coffee stains and pen marks on the coat, not to mention dirty sleeves and collar too. I brought it in on a Friday night but i couldn't get it until Monday, since they were closed that specific Saturday. She might haven been able to rush it for the next day if they were open. I paid $8.50 for a good clean, but there were still some stains on it that couldn't be lifted. But for the price it's very good. Highly recommended! read more

I came here at the recommendation of a friend in order to have a dress dry cleaned for an upcoming wedding. I am so glad I came here! 1)The woman working is SO NICE. And her dog is soooo cute! I dropped off my dress and showed her the areas I was most concerned about (I bought the dress a few years ago, wore it like twice, never cleaned it since I am lazy, spilled something (??) on it last time I wore it, still never cleaned it...it was in rough shape) and she told me she could get it looking all sparkly new! 2) Prices are very fair. I paid $22.50 for a dress that's a weird material and can get ratty looking if you're not super careful, and it was pretty dirty all around. How it got in that shape, I'll never know. 3) I picked up the dress 3 days later (I rushed it since I waited til the last minute) and it was AMAZING. It looked brand new! It smelled nice and fresh and was bright and shiny and lovely again. I was really impressed. The owner explained to me how she got it so clean (she is a hard worker!) and told me it's a beautiful dress (DAWW) and that I will be lovely in it (DAWWWWW) and we chatted a bit. She even helped me practice my spanish! I pet her dog and was on my way, and would come here for all my future dry cleaning because she is an honest, caring, kind, hardworking woman, and that's the kind of business I want to support. I have known Francis for several years. Her service is incredible! Her place is that one which is the last stop after all of others have said, "Can't help." My last white dress was completely messed up after wearing it one time to a night club. My whole body had been covered by a brush tanning with an oily dark chemical when I went the nightclub. This dark cover missed all of my white dress inside. Francis removed all of this dirty completely. At the same time, she did not loose from the outside my dress no one metallic sequin trim the dress was tightly covered with. Not one sequin was missing after dry cleaning!!! Also, I have a very expensive white jacket with a complicated design and which is made of a different type of material. It had many spots from food and grease from a long time of wear. She treats clothes with care, and thinks of clever ways to ensure the repair will stick. I feel bad writing this review because Francis (the owner) is very nice, Pepe (her dog) is super cute, and the dry cleaning and alteration services are fairly priced. However, I had a really AWFUL experience. I recently came in to have two dresses altered and a pair of pants dry cleaned. The first dress was a Halloween dress that was a little too big and it needed to be taken in (sewed in on the sides). The second was a blue Zara dress with a broken zipper that needed to be replaced. As much as I tried to give her the business, I felt like everything from her was a big FAIL. First, I asked her to take in the dress that was too big on the sides and she replied no because she was too busy and couldn't have it to me within 5 days due to the upcoming military ball. I should have taken this as a sign not to continue working with her. But I did appreciate the honesty and wanted to give her the business. Next, we put together an idea to create a sequin belt to make the illusion of the dress to appear more fitting. I offered to save her time and purchase the materials for her. (My mistake). I asked Francis several times to explain exactly what I needed to purchase from the craft store. She tried to explain the concept to me in the midst of her phone ringing. Francis preferred to take the phone call over my dress and shooed me away. I drive directly to the craft store only to purchase the wrong item due to the lack of communication. I had to drive to her business and back to the craft store a second time in order to return the item. In total, I spent 1.5 hours of my busy work day trying to take care of this, which is RIDICULOUS. In hindsight, the better business move was for the Seamstress/Owner to go to the store on her own time and charge me for the time and cost of materials. Or on the other hand, turn down the business completely and refer me to another seamstress. The following week I tried to throw her a bone and gave her a second chance with the blue Zara dress -- the one that needed a new zipper. Again, she failed to meet my level of expectation because it had been a week later and my zipper still wasn't replaced???! Of course I took it back. So disappointing! On a bright note, she did dry clean my favorite dress pants and brightened the color. This she did right; however, it only took two weeks (Ouch!). As much as I want to help her out, I think she is extremely busy. Francis was inattentive to my needs and her lack of communication really cost me a lot of time (that I don't have). I'm sorry to say this but this was no good. Normally, this would get one star from me but I will give her another star because she did brighten my dress pants and she had a great attitude-- but there is severe room for improvement needed. read more

I have just found my favorite Drycleaning spot in all of San Diego. I went in to drop 5 white shirts and one pair of pants for work that have been tumbling in my car over the past couple of weeks. Needless to say the collars were very stained and there was some pen marks on the front pocket. I walked in and was immediately met by Lilly the friendly Lab and Francis the owner. Francis kept is real with me and told me that she would need at least 2 days to take care of the shirts up to her standards. I came back 2 days later to pick up my shirts and was pleasantly surprised to see that all the stains were gone and my shirts looked brand new. She had to dry-clean them twice and launder them to get them clean but she only charged me for one dry-cleaning. I have never left a dry-cleaning place being completely satisfied with the service and the quality of the work that was done.
