Spinach bacon tomato onion cheddar omelette

We always make it a point at coming to the Lighthouse Cafe when in Cape Cod. Very good food and service and fresh made muffins to die for. The character of the place is very old school New England and they top it off by being cash only. In the past I've had their homemade hash and eggs but today I'm going with a bacon, spinach, Tomatoe, onion, and cheddar omelette. As expected the omelette and home fries were perfect, perfectly cooked and just the right mix of sweet and savory. We look forward to more breakfasts at the Lighthouse Cafe.

Eggs Benny sooo good. Very thick bacon.

Very friendly staff, make you feel right at home. There were a lot of locals and regulars there which always is a good sign that the food is going to be delicious...... Which it was. I had the regular eggs. Benedict and my husband had the sausage eggs Benedict, which were both on the specials menu. Sooo good. They need to be on the regular menu!

OE eggs, crispy potatoes, linguica, Italian sausage & ham. Best rye bread!

One of the best breakfasts anywhere! Perfectly cooked eggs! And service friendly and not overbearing!

My sister and I decided to come here for brunch, and it's a nice mom and pop diner shop. You walk in and get to sit yourself. I built my own omelette which came with home fries and toast. Food was great, the home fries were so delicious! They take cash only but there's an ATM inside.

Had the homemade corned beef, eggs, sourdough toast, home fries, and tried the lemon poppy and cranberry orange muffin grilled. The food, in short, was amazing and exactly what I look for in a diner. Kind people work here. Cash only, but there is an ATM on site. You walk inside and put your name on a list if there's a wait.

Been coming here for years. Never again. Called this morning for takeout, got the message "welcome to Verizon Wireless, your call can not be completed as dialed, as the called party is busy." Tried several times over 30 minutes (and again just now as writing this review). So they have their phone off the hook. I drive over to order takeout in person, which I've done before. I walk in and here's the conversation I have with the manager: Me: Hi I'd like to order the Breakfast Melt (which is a really great breakfast sandwich) to go. Manager: Sorry we don't do takeout. Me: I'm confused. I've ordered takeout here for years. Manager: Sorry. Me: Well, I tried calling you several times and your phone isn't working. Since I drove all the way over here, do you think you could make an exception? Manager: No. Sorry. You know how sometimes people say "sorry" but you can tell they don't mean it? That. Note that here on Yelp, and on Google, and even *on their own website* it says they do takeout. As I walk out, the sign in the window says to call "to place your order." See photos. Place wasn't especially busy - no line - season on Cape ended last week. One breakfast sandwich was too much to ask. She made it clear she didn't need my business. Wish granted.

This is a local cafe that we stopped in for lunch while on the Cape. The menu appeared to offer many specials and we took advantage of two. My date had the tuna melt sandwich on marbled rye and a side of cole slaw. He often gets tuna melt and really liked this one. I had the 1/2 order of pot roast sandwich, only without bread and cole slaw on the side. The pot roast was such great comfort food and cooked to perfection. Sometimes pot roast can be tough but it was so tender. The place was decorated in a beachy theme and so cute.

Ham and cheese omelette

We stumbled across Lighthouse Cafe on our walk this morning and left having experienced one of the best breakfasts ever. We walked in and sat at a blue checkered table right by the window and admired the homey and warm atmosphere. The service was impeccable - our waitress couldn't have been more friendly and attentive. The omelet was perfectly fluffy and satisfying with every bite, breakfast potatoes crispy and decadent, and sourdough bread ideally toasted and buttered. If you're looking for a classic diner with great food, kind people, and modest prices, I would absolutely recommend popping in to the Lighthouse Cafe.

One of my most favorite places to eat breakfast on the cape! If you have a chance I recommend the light house hash when it is on special.

EPIC 10 STARS!!!!…read more I've lived here for 35 YEARS, and today was my very first visit to Good Friends Cafe. OMG!!! WHERE HAVE I BEEN?! I am the WORLD'S BIGGEST food critic, and hands down, this was one of the BEST breakfasts I have ever had! There was a line out the door, and now I completely understand why. But it wasn't just the food that blew me away. I sat at the bar and watched the staff work, and I was honestly fascinated. They navigated a packed restaurant flawlessly, engaged with everyone, helped one another, and somehow made the whole place feel relaxed and happy. One staff member told me, "We love working here. We don't have a manager--it just all works." And WOW, does it work!!! I own a business that runs pretty smoothly, so I naturally notice systems, staff interaction, customer service, and how a busy operation flows. This place was IMPECCABLE. Everything worked together like a well-oiled machine, yet it never felt mechanical. It felt warm, genuine, fun, and welcoming. The food: AMAZING. The staff: AMAZING. The atmosphere: AMAZING. The operation: AMAZING. I walked in for breakfast and walked out thinking, I WANT TO WORK HERE! One day I would LOVE to waitress here! Good Friends Cafe, you have a new regular. I may be visiting EVERY DAY! It felt like HOME. 10 STARS!!!! Lauren Johnston Harwich Port, MA & Marco Island, FL

Several friends had recommended Good Friends Cafe for breakfast, particularly because we had a…read moregluten-free friend with us, and we were told their gluten-free selection is quite large. All the road work going on MA 28 was also incentive, as we could get there without traveling on it from where we were staying. We were also told several times to get their grilled breads (if you weren't gluten-free, of course). The complimentary coffee in the waiting area was a nice tough as well. It certainly lived up to the recommendations. We had maybe a 3 minute wait for a table on a busy Friday morning. There were lots of specials on the blackboards on the side wall. Coffee came out quickly; it was piping hot and mellow, with very frequent refills. I did try the bread, an apple-cranberry, grilled/toasted medium with a pat of butter for extra yum. I opted for the hash Benedict with fruit instead of potatoes. I got potatoes by mistake anyway, but they immediately brought over the fruit. The eggs were perfectly cooked, the Hollandaise was flavorful, and the hash was crisp and not greasy at all. Now it's my turn to be a good friend and pass the recommendations forward for others.

I got the Dennis combination as it has a little of everything I want to try/eat. The food is good. The corned beef hash tastes very good with the sunny side up egg. The fruit is sweet as well. One can add $2 for speciality pancakes. I got the ordinary one. This place is cash only. They also have an ATM near the restroom. One recommendation is that the server should mention cash only in the beginning. Some people may not have cash or debit card when they travel.

Both were very friendly and did a great job handling everyone. Menu is printed on the placemat on the table and pretty extensive. Plenty of choices for everyone from breakfast to lunch. We chose the cinnamon french toast, chocolate chip pancakes, home fries, bacon, and a cup of chowder. Given how busy they were the food arrived pretty quickly. Chowder should have arrived first but the server forgot about it and offered to put the pancakes under the heat lamp till I finished the chowder but I decided not to do that as I figured it would ruin the pancakes. The chowder was loaded with plenty of clams and potatoes and had a good flavor to it. The chowder had a light creamy texture which was very nice compared to some of the gloopy chowders you can get. The cinnamon French toast was two large sliced of their home made cinnamon bread coated with a light sugar sauce which enhanced the flavor of the toast. There were plenty of cinnamong swirls in the bread which made it very tasty. The chocolate chip pancakes (2) had a small pile of miniature chocolate chips on top with plenty mixed into the pancakes. The pancakes were light and fluffy and very tasty. The home fries were well fried, as asked for, with plenty of onions mixed in. It was very nice that they were red skinned potatoes so the pieces were small and crispy. The bacon, 3 slices) came well done, again as asked for, and was super crispy and tasted like applewood smoked bacon. Ordered a slice of their forest berry pie to go and then forgot it! But I know it was going to be great because it looked fantastic. Didn't go back for it as we remebered it about an hour after we left and they would have been closed by then. Seating is comfortable with a combination of tables for two and four people. All in all a great experience and we'll be going back when we come to the Cape again.

Pelham Resort Rooftop -- A Perfect Evening…read more Beautiful views, warm service, and excellent food. From Dennis we could see all the way to Monomoy Island, which made the whole evening feel special. Olivia, our server, was fantastic--attentive, friendly, and thoughtful. She even brought Keith a complimentary birthday toast, which was such a lovely touch. We started with the Crispy Point Judith Calamari, perfectly fried with bright pickled peppers and a great lemon aioli. So tasty. My husband had the Pan-Seared Cod Loin with Thai khao soi and soba noodles--he absolutely loved it. I ordered the Maine Lobster Ravioli with butternut squash purée and tarragon Newburg sauce, and it was rich, balanced, and delicious. A gorgeous setting, memorable dishes, and genuinely kind service. We'll definitely be back.

My friend and I were there for drinks, but she ended up getting clam chowder before the kitchen closed for the afternoon. Unfortunately, it came out barely lukewarm. I assume they don't make the soup from scratch each bowl, so they really only needed to warm it up to the right temperature. The women's restroom only had 2 stalls and 2 sinks. One stall had no toilet paper and one sink had no soap. I get that the soap dispenser might be broken, but there's no reason to have no toilet paper when there were exactly 4 people standing around talking at the host stand... The table service from Karlo was attentive and polite. I went back with 3 others on Sunday as we had a brunch reservation for 10 AM. This was nothing short of a disaster. We got there on time and put in our orders quickly. The food (mostly consisting of various kinds of eggs, toast, avocados, and yogurt) took nearly an hour to come out. We asked twice and were told that the kitchen was backed up. They should have staggered reservations and seating if they couldn't accommodate a full restaurant near the time of opening. The rest of my day was rushed because I had to wait an hour for scrambled eggs and an english muffin. While the service was friendly, they even charged us for an iced tea refill and took the coffee cups away instead of offering more. If you're making us wait an hour for breakfast, maybe do a solid and offer a free refill of the non-alcoholic beverages. [Or even the alcoholic ones!] All in all, the service is decent and the view is great. The food and the wait leaves much to be desired. If I come back, it'll be drinks-only.

The only way to truly describe it is cosy. The small windows provide that warm lighting that makes you want to read a book with a cup of coffee. The staff is friendly and accommodating. My Ham, egg and cheese on Portuguese bread was great and very cheesy (if thats something you enjoy). My fiancé's eggs benny was good as well! My only gripe is that it's a little pricey for what it is. I guess thats normal pricing for the cape, things are just a little bit more expensive in these parts. Not a dealbreaker by any means, just something to be aware of. One of the biggest surprises was the gift shop! It has a fantastic selection of Cape Cod souvenirs, home décor, toys, clothing, and gifts. It was a fun place to browse while we were waiting for our table. Expect a wait on summer weekends. It was about a 20-minute wait this past Sunday but overall, we enjoyed the food and the experience and would happily return.
