Lighthouse brings the light, yum, and joy! Whoa! Run don't walk. I was nervous, empty, 7am at opening. Well, we are table #2. Cute, clean, cute spot. Love all the lighthouses to view and for sale. Ok, Bloody Mary made me cry tears of joy. As good or better than our cruise ship, Holland America. So tomatoey, garlicccc, pepper, tany but not hot. Can you just buy a vat of the mix. Hope the owner sees this amd takes that mix, offers Chelada - thats bloody mary with beer, tajin rim. The mix is homemade, its amazing!!! Now, onto more yum. We tried the seafood benedict, amazing! Partner had traditional benedict. Excellent. Coffee was good, we like dark roast, it was good enough. We were just so happy. Im tough, because I eat out often, so I know if its good. This was yum! Excellent. Stop by, worth every dime. And prices were reasonable too, not island prices but normal stuff, so we appreciated that. I think tip should be manadatory. Add in 18% on everyone who eats in. Its done all across Florida, then your staff gets the minimum.

Fast and friendly service. Food was fresh but came out fast. I really enjoyed the jam. Have been coming to Sanibel for many years but have never tried Lighthouse Cafe before. New location easy to reach from anywhere in island. Will be back

The service was kinda slow but they were really busy. The food was great and the Bloody Mary made everything worth the wait. Would return again.

I think the reason I had never been there before is we didn't venture much to the east side of the island.

Their new location is in the Village Shops. We had about a 15 minute wait for a table inside We were totally ok with that because it was in the triple digits temperature wise. Once we were seated all of us were ready to order immediately. We already knew exactly what we wanted. To start with we ordered the Giant Homemade Cinnamon Roll. Simply put was love this...Warm, fresh and glazed. For entrees I ordered the Mediterranean omelette (Sautéed spinach, onion, artichoke, tomato, black olive and feta cheese) with home fries and rye toast. The omelette was made perfectly, home fries were well seasoned, rye toast paired well with the omelette; my wife ordered the Bacon and Cheese omelette with side of corn beef hash. She said everything came out great; My mother in law ordered scrambled eggs with a side of corn beef hash. She said she liked her meal; My sister in law ordered the Mexican Omelette with no onions(Sautéed onions, bell peppers, jalepeños, diced tomatoes, sausage with cheddar jack cheese and a side of salsa and sour cream) with biscuits and a side of cottage cheese. She had to send back her omelette because she found onions in the omelette. Once came back things were good. Overall we love this place and it will always be on our list.

I asked the waitress if the potatoes were deep-fried because if they were I did not want them. And she had a look that she didn't understand me, but didn't ask or clarify anything. My husband ordered the country skillet. The coffee was delicious He said the country skillet was very good.. My omelette did not have any mushrooms in it. But what was odd it was the shredded potatoes and she had the Kitchen deep fry the shredded potatoes. When I asked her about that, she replied with "you said you wanted them deep fried" I said no I said I didn't want them if they were deep fried. She said "Let me see if I can get you another side" She came back with the hashbrowns not deep fried. The omelet itself appeared to be cooked in oil as it was very greasy. I chose ham as my meat specifically to avoid this kind of an outcome The potatoes were also very heavy in oil , or whatever it is, they used to cook them with The food came out quickly and the waitress is very nice. If I go back, I'd probably just get poached eggs in a bowl with a side of ham.

Every seat in the restaurant was filled, which tells you everything you need to know. Make a reservation because this place is incredibly popular. The service was outstanding from start to finish. Our server was warm, attentive, and somehow managed to provide exceptional service despite the restaurant being completely packed. The entire staff made our last night on the island feel special. We forgot to take photos of the appetizers, but trust me, don't skip them. The fried green tomatoes were the unanimous favorite at our table and an absolute must-order. Crispy, flavorful, and perfectly prepared. We also ordered the conch fritters, which our family always seeks out whenever we're in Florida, and these were honestly some of the best we've ever had. The crab cakes were delicious as well, but the fried green tomatoes and conch fritters definitely stole the show. For my entrée, I ordered the Quinoa Steak Salad, and I was shocked by the size. The portion is enormous and could easily be shared by two people, or even serve as a family-style salad for three or four. The steak was perfectly cooked, and the combination of quinoa, avocado, fresh vegetables, and cheese made it both hearty and refreshing. Several people at our table ordered the evening special, the blackened snapper over mushroom risotto, and it was phenomenal. The snapper was perfectly cooked, flaky, and full of flavor, while the creamy mushroom risotto complemented it beautifully. It was easily one of the standout dishes of the evening. The honey glazed salmon was another favorite at our table. The braised short ribs were rich, tender, and beautifully presented. One person in our group ordered the stuffed lobster and thoroughly enjoyed it, mentioning both the flavor and the generous portion size. The fish tacos were good, but with so many exceptional dishes on the table, they simply weren't the standout. Between the exceptional food, generous portions, outstanding service, and lively atmosphere, this was the perfect way to end our week on Sanibel Island. It's easy to see why every table was full. If you're visiting Sanibel, make reservations in advance. This restaurant is popular for a reason, and after dining here, we completely understand why. Five stars. We can't wait to come back.
