So i had to find a doctor quick... just in case. I remember looking up reviews on both google and yelp for reviews for doctors in town... and even in nearby Lima and Delphos. This is by the way not very helpful as there is a dearth of reviews for medical professionals it seems. I don't remember exactly why i chose Van Wert Family Physicians, but i called in to the office and asked to become a new patient. I was directed to fill out some paperwork online. I did so. Now there are a number of doctors who work there, i asked to be seen by Dr. Kristen Pollock, who my mother was already using. Super happy i did. She is awesome! Great doc... caring, honest. The visits i had during the pandemic were all virtual, it wasn't until a year later i got to meet and have a full check up with her but it was a crazy 2020. Honestly, i don't think i have had such a good doctor since my pediatrician back before i became an adult. Maybe i am just used to things being different in Miami, Florida where i am originally from. Health care there... sucks. Your a number, nothing more. Even when you are seeing someone who cares, they are incredibly busy and overworked. They only have so much time for you. Dr. Pollock takes time to make sure you are healthy and stay healthy. The staff is wonderful overall. Its never difficult to get a hold of someone to make an appointment nor to talk to the nurse if i have some issue. And talking about times, unlike Miami... you see your doc at your scheduled appointment time.. no waiting hours to see one. Van Wert Family Physicians also is where i got my covid shots... happy to have gotten them! Just love the level of care this place gives! If you are looking for a good primary care/family doc! Again, the program did not work! Again, the girls told me it is due to poor internet and it happens "regularly". I sat there for an hour and a half. As I was getting irritated the dentist came in and said "it is not his fault." "We have used this program for years". Maybe that is the problem. Get a program that works and internet that works so the staff can do their job!

One Monday, I woke up and was terribly sick, so I didn't go to work. My appointment was on my calendar at work, but since I didn't go in I had forgotten about my appointment and didn't reschedule. Next thing you know, I'm being charged a $20 fee for missing my appointment. I called and tried to explain the situation because I absolutely never miss appointments. When I called, the receptionist was rude, lacked understanding, and they refused to show any type of compassion for my honest mistake. The chiropractor also refused to talk to me or call me back despite multiple attempts to resolve. I take ownership for my mistake, but sometimes life happens. It seems that the people here are perfect, and never make mistakes. I hope my $20 was worth it because now you will be missing out on my monthly $50.

My mom was diagnosed with stage 3 breast cancer back in November 2021, and the cancer spread partly into her lymphatic system. It has been a journey first through surgery, then chemo and now radiation. She came for a month's worth of radiation treatment at Lima Memorial Cancer Institute and I am thankful for the care she received here. My mother always said everyone here treated her very well. She has since finished with her radiation treatment. Hopefully this journey ends soon on a positive note, we are still going thru it... still thankful for the help we received from this cancer treatment center.

First let me explain that the reason I am here is that I am recovering from spine surgery at the Cleveland Clinic and am here for about two weeks of rehabilitation. The room, facilities, and food are all excellent. What makes this place great though is the people who work here. Every interaction with staff is very caring, professional, friendly, and supportive of my every need. I'm convinced that everyone here cares about me, and all the things I want and need.
