This review is based on visits and tours made there to check out what they are all about. Michelle is likely your first point of contact since she is, I believe, the Director of "Sales and Marketing" (?). Kara I believe works for her and fills in for Michelle when needed. Both are fabulous, but Michelle really knows her stuff and understands what needs to be done if you are thinking of being part of their community. The place itself is really nice and elegant, with lots of energy and positive activities. Beautiful walking area outside for memory care residents. Trails right outside to walk, are abundant and also very nice as you walk thru the park right there/golf course. Different sized Rooms make up assisted living (AL) --studio, 1 BR, 2 BR. Memory care (MC) only has 2 sizes of studios--385 and 520 sq feet. The views you have contribute to the price as well. They also have Assisted Living with their Essentials support, provides a bridge between AL and MC. Food is pretty nice. Heritage week was being offered where unique foods from other areas around the world were being featured. Service was pretty great. Kind, compassionate when talking to residents. Beautiful set-up with dishes being offered on display as you walk in. Love the front desk team. All super nice and energetic. Very knowledgable and helpful. A nice sized theater for movies. Arts and crafts room. Library space. Outside deck/seats and tables with a very calming and beautiful view. Exercise class in the morning and other activities throughout the day. Live music/happy hour. Super fun all around. If you are looking for a super nice place where your loved one will be well taken care of, and feel safe and happy, this is your place.

From the moment we walked into Cherry Hills Assisted Living and Memory Care (CHAL), we knew it was special. The atmosphere felt warm and welcoming, and the staff truly seemed to care about the residents. My aunt moved in about a year ago, and it was a huge adjustment - she had been living independently and had no plans to move. The team at CHAL went above and beyond to help her settle in and feel comfortable in her new home. They were patient, kind, and always took the time to make sure she was doing okay. Now, a year later, she's happy and thriving. She enjoys the staff and the beautiful facility. It's such a relief knowing she's well cared for and surrounded by people who genuinely care about her. We're so grateful to everyone at CHAL for making what started as a stressful transition into such a positive experience. I can't recommend them enough!

Upon breaking her hip, we realized that home was no longer the safest place so we looked around at quite a few independent/assisted living places. You don't feel like you are in any kind of home for older people and it honestly has such a wonderful, welcoming charm. Owners are from here and plan on staying here and will respond at ANY time and are remarkable and their staff is so amazing. I love the concept of this place! It is so clean. The units and common areas are beautiful! They recently helped us plan a birthday party for 23 people for my husband in the private dining room. A big shot out to Tracy (yet again), Alberto, Kayleigh, Heath and many others for making this event so special. Everyone commented on how fantastic the food was - even better than most of the highly rated restaurants close by for a fraction of the price. I would not hesitate to to move my own parents here. In fact, they raved about how great this place is and commented on how fantastic my MIL looks. They loved seeing her have a sense of humor that they have never witnessed before. This is place is simply the start of a new chapter in someone's life. I am so grateful!

But the Libby Bortz Center is very good in their care. I felt guilty during at that time, but I just sold my home in Five Points and moved south to Littleton so my mom would more be more safe and I know friends that can take care of her while I'm at work. But the center is excellent in its care and also designed for people with low to moderate incomes and your timing has to spot on to get a temporary room. He says this is his home now and he will never leave until the end. This is a beautiful clean facility that does not smell like many other senior homes. A month after moving into his room he had to have Open Heart Surgery. His motivation was the loved he had already received in his "new family at Libby Bortz". The love and amazing care given made him recover faster to get home. The staff sent him cards and called to see how he was doing. I could have never imagined a place to take such good care of my dad. Every Friday they come in and clean his room and take his laundry to be cleaned. They strip the bed and put clean sheets on the bed. When I say they clean, they really clean thoroughly. The pictures, blinds everything is spotless. Then the clothes are returned and folded very nicely. In the dining room they are given assigned seating which my dad loves as it feels like a family. The food is always delicious and the wait staff treats him very special. They make sure all are accounted for at meals which means a lot to our family. He is given a snack at bedtime so it is just more love given to check that he is doing fine. They have activities daily which he likes to attend including exercise class. They do it all from haircuts to a foot clinic and a in home doctors group comes in every few weeks. Libby Bortz is a shining example of what senior care should look like. Infact, they should be the model for our country. It shows how good management and a good price point can bring together people to love our seniors as they age. Aging with dignity and love is this wonderful facility.

At first I would have given this place 4 stars because, basically, all retirement homes have this…read moreaspect to them, that it's where (to quote the sign on Homer's dad's home in The Simpsons) "the old and infirm bide their time awaiting the inevitable". It's not really the place you _want_ to be. So let me explain why I give it 5 stars. First off, my Dad is near the end of his life and has been living for 3 years in the memory loss ward where the door is locked with a key access. It sounds grim and boring doesn't it? But I spend a lot of time in here, and I like it here! It has toys and fun things on the floor for kids to play with and check out. It has lovely and fun staff. It has volunteers coming by playing violin and piano and guitar. Today they had the football game and then the basketball game on and it was a blast! Sure, there's something a bit surreal about all this sort of stuff -- it's a completely modern invention -- we dump our kids into schools for ten years, and then dump our aged into homes for ten years. But my 5 year old likes coming here, and that's saying a lot! They have free popcorn and coffee and a lobby dog. The food is good (today I had pork cutlet with potatoes and kale; yesterday I had lobster linguini with asparagus). The staff is great. The front desk and lobby are cozy and unpretentious. It's not expensive. With not being expensive, comes not being needlessly fancy -- it's kind of like grandma's house. For a while after a broken hip my Dad stayed at a place down the road, which is super fancy and like a ski lodge, where they had a therapy center. There was no fun in the place -- I think a lot of these places want you to think you aren't where you are. Also parking means a lot, and Sunrise at Orchard is small and parking close to the building is easy. Plus, it's right across the street from Panera so you can go grab food and right next to the library so you can go read a book. And if your parent has Alzheimers then you come back in an hour and they're so happy to see you again, it's always a brand new day!! Now my dad has a couple of days left. He moved back here from the hospital, into hospice care, back to his old room. They know him and love him. They come by the room to help him with things, and are always saying sweet things to him, "we love you Gunnar". And they bring me food and drink and don't care if I set up a mattress on the floor and spend the night. So I want to give them a big thumbs up. It's where my Mom wants to come when it's her turn to have somebody cook for her and just sit around doing crossword puzzles. Oh, and they have a GREAT large garden in the back, especially for the memory loss patients, so they can wander around, have a smoke or whatever. And there are 4 exits, all key-access, so you can come in and out in a few different ways (good 'feng shui'). For the 'younger' patients, they go on all kinds of outings, movies, restaurants. Good luck finding a place for yourself or for your parents!

Lara, community coordinator was so wonderful too. Medical records provider Brandon was very helpful. Elaine the nurse manager did a nice job addressing anomalies. The top level directors for the Suites at Someran Glen (rehab area)--Lynae and Laura (Director of Nursing) were absolutely on top of things and very approachable and supportive. What not to love: they had challenges but am assuming most all places do. Food was pretty below average with clearly uncaring preparers and management. Therapy in the end/in general was status quo and not very innovative or progressive--very in the box and procedural. Several uncaring and "just doing their job" personna. Lots of PT group exercises of bouncing a ball where they can ensure multiple residents, I assume, can attain many client required rehab minutes in one session. But despite the "boo hoos" and their challenge areas, their CNAs (Bri), RNs (Ashley and Mike) as well as their weekly activity sheets made up for a lot of their losses. Just be careful if the RN on duty thinks your meds dosage should be higher than it is, she may just decide to adjust what is dispensed herself. Very short sided actions with her not considering any long term effects on your liver. All in all a pretty nice place, relative to other places, where you'll hopefully be happy you were there. Despite their challenges, would definitely recommend it!

I had the pleasure of working with Aaron during my first homebuying experience. I had met with several other real estate agents and after speaking with Aaron, I had a really good feeling and decided to work exclusively with him. He was with me every step of the way, explaining things at the right level every time. Aaron is knowledgeable, personable, and strategic. I couldn't imagine having a better person in my corner to coach me through this convoluted process. Thanks Aaron!

UPDATE: 6/28/24…read more Recently Aaron has helped my wife and I sell our first home and purchase a new one at the same time. If you've been in this situation before you know how stressful this can be, but Aaron made this as smooth as possible. There's a lot of great things to say about Aaron so I've broken it up into sections to view easily. #1 Experience 5/5 Aaron is one of the most experienced Realtors in the business and it shows when you work with him. He was able to find us our perfect home matching our criteria in a short time frame and was able to get in contact with the seller immediately and negotiated us a stellar offer. When it came to selling our house Aaron expertly navigated the market and we sold our house within 7 days for over asking while there were 4-5 other properties in the same area for sale. Those properties are still for sale and took multiple price reductions! #2 Customer Service 5/5 Aaron has always made my wife and I feel like valued friends instead of just clients. At every step of the process Aaron always made sure that our best interests were kept in mind even if it meant something more difficult on his end. He spent countless hours walking us through different concepts and strategies to ensure that we were comfortable with all the decisions we were making. By the end of the process I felt like I was a real estate expert because Aaron always spent the time to teach and show us the in and outs of real estate. #3 Aaron Impact Aaron is not only a wonderful real estate agent, but he also has his lender license which helped us secure a loan for our home that eclipsed all other offers on the board by a large margin. He also helped us with contacting the best electricians, contractors, inspectors, plumbers, etc. in the business to help us with our new home and fixing our old property for selling. These connections helped my wife and I receive stellar work at a extremely reasonable price. Having Aaron as your realtor ensures that your entire realtor experience will be successful before, during, and after your closing. Overall I can't praise Aaron enough for the expertise in his craftmanship and can't wait for my daughter to buy her first house so we have the opportunity to work with Aaron again. If you are even thinking about buying or selling your house the only real option is Aaron and you will never be disappointed with choosing him as your realtor. As stressful as buying or selling a house can be I find myself wanting to do it again just so I can experience working with Aaron. First House Purchase 3/2020 My wife and I were looking into buying our first home which was very overwhelming trying to figure out all the odds and ends that we needed. We knew that we needed to find the right agent for us that could help walk us through the entire process and teach us along the way. Luckily we were able to meet Aaron and words cannot express how thankful we are to have him as our agent! Aaron provided us a wealth of information a long the way teaching us about things we never knew we had to be aware of when buying a house. Aaron was also very responsive and receptive of our questions or concerns that we had always making sure that we were comfortable and confident with everything that was happening. Working with Aaron relived all the stress and concerns that my wife and I had about buying our first home. I can say without a doubt that when you have Aaron as your real estate agent you get much more than just an agent, you get one of the best agents in Colorado, a teacher, someone who will advocate for you, and most importantly a friend who has your best interest in mind. At the end of it I cannot recommend Aaron enough for what he did for us, is doing for us, and will do for us as our lifelong real estate agent.
