First off, while the lady hosting our tasting was very knowledgeable, her delivery was regimented and military. The tasting itself was advertised as a "splash", six for $20. When they say a splash, it's literally one gulp and a half. Really the smallest tasting I've ever seen, especially for the price and totally not worth it unless you are serious about buying a bottle. The kicker is that they only waive the tasting fee if you spend more than $200. I guess that can't be too difficult considering their best selling wines go for $80 a bottle! Although we did end up buying a very good bottle and enjoyed it, I would rather support a winery where I don't feel like I'm being ripped off the whole time. Even the grounds were sparse, boring and really nothing special considering how precious their wine is. I was embarrassed to have brought people that had never been to a winery before to this particular place. We will not be returning and would not recommend if you are looking for the complete winery experience.

With COVID, it has been difficult to celebrate the occasions that have arisen, but now the restrictions are slightly eased, although you still have to wear a mask (hence the armour with the face mask over the face). So, our answer was a road trip to Belleville for lunch with Step Mom (thanks for coming out! That was great to celebrate in person!) at a restaurant we had not tried yet, in the south end; not as busy as downtown. After lunch, we parted ways with Step Mom, and drove, and drove and drove... and ended up in Prince Edward County - where we were directed to by the CAA in Belleville to visit the wine trail. Ok - truth here: we're going to have to spend a few days or a week on this trail! There's such a lot to see!! We ended up stopping at a microbrewery to pick up a 6 or 8-pack, then found this Winery. They were pretty close together so that was easy. I picked up a bottle of wine. My only disappointment was that we didn't get to try the wine before choosing it. They offer samplings for a nominal fee (was it $5?), which would be refunded if you bought a bottle of wine. Wines offered were in the $25 range. For a change, I chose a white wine, although I usually prefer red. The winery is quite pretty! There's a lot going on here, and I can imagine it would be quite the place, hopping with energy, prior to COVID restrictions. I will keep tabs on this spot and further restrictions, and possibly update my review once I've tried the wine. Thanks for the blissful day!

Though listed as dry it is very smooth and just the right balance between dry and sweet without any aftertaste. I purchased a bottle of that for $23 and tasting $12. They have a pizza food truck onsite and local cheeses that can be purchased. The Garlic and Herb Yogurt Cheese from Buttercup cheese was a creamy delight! Definitely a great stop if you are in the area or taking a Drive around Oneida Lake!
