YES!! I was recommended this place by so many friends. I asked every question humanly possible, I was recommended the cardigan and I was genuinely pleased. My biggest tip: They say that the sweetness is only half that of starbs & honestly nothing rings more true. Everything was perfect. Was intrigued to come check this place out from seeing a post on the Des Moines yelp Instagram about it. It was a pretty popular place when we went in this morning. I love places that roast their coffee. I saw that they have coffee beans from all over the world that you can also buy to take home with you. My husband and I both ordered the Iced Almond brown sugar latte with almond milk. The coffee was so smooth and the almond brown sugar gave it the perfect sweet blend. Will be going back to try more. They have a variety of teas and about three choices of small breakfast items you can choose from. Have several tables and sitting areas for people to enjoy their drinks. Lightbrite, you so Lovely!!! Been here a few times now and I can definitely say their coffee is outstanding! During COVID19 review: Visited on a Saturday morning this time. Nice and steady service and business flow. Had a classic iced americano and a Night Light latte: vanilla and lavender syrup in espresso and oat milk. Their syrup is very unique! I think they make their own because they were in non commercial bottles. Crafted well with care. I think my new found favorite. Americano was smoooooth and very palatable. Both drinks came to $9.xx Upcharge $1.00 for oat milk. To be social distant in this small shop we waited outside for a few minutes while there was a line of four people in front of us. Both employees wore masks. Every patron inside were masked as well. Tables are nicely distanced. Walking in the shop: cute and very bright. Decor is simple and minimalistic. Marble, woods, greenery from plants. Millennial look to it. Menu was on the wall and little print outs on the counter for descriptions of drinks. I appreciate their simple layout. I instantly felt cooler when I walked through the doors here. The design is light and happy. I got a vanilla latte and it was so yummy. The gal who helped us was so kind and we had a fun conversation. The one making our coffee listened to me drone on about how I liked how they had the countries all their coffee was grown in up on the wall and how that related to the "globalization in the wild assignment" I make all my students do. She had no reason to listen but she did! Intently! And then Delaney and I went on our merry way with lattes in hand for a day of adventure. My only note is that I don't really get the name. Why not make it LightBright or LiteBrite? Why make one word have ight and the other ite when they are already consistently spelled to start? Why mess up just one, instead of both? My mom who teaches kids to read would say this is confusing and I would agree....but I think I just need to learn the back story of them picking there name before I am ever allowed to comment. I travelled the world for work for over 20 years. I've drank 90,000 gallons of coffee. If you're not literally sitting in a Parisian cafe on the Champs Elysees, or an Italian cafe in Florence, you will not get a better cup. This shop seems so out of place right there between and industrial development and a couple of suburbs - but, I guess Grimes got awfully lucky. This is the artisan cappuccino. This is an adorable little coffee spot! The coffee is fresh and very tasty. An employee told me they roast their own beans here. The scones are delicious, and the local burrito is amazing! This place is my absolute favorite place to get coffee. The people are the kindest baristas and their coffee is SO good! The atmosphere is light and airy and quite refreshing. The coffee is specially roasted right there. They support local dairy farmers. And they work hard to make their own syrups taste SO good.
