Every day my three year old says something to me and when I ask, where'd you learn that, he tells me Miss Cindy! They have done a great job with the COVID precautions and worked through any hiccups very smoothly. Even with the somewhat of a disconnect (parents aren't allowed in the facility) the staff and especially Miss Lauren go out of their way to keep me informed about my one year olds development and what we can be working on at home. We would highly recommend Kiddie Academy to anyone looking for a top notch daycare/school facility in the area.

Ms. Angela, Ms. Kayla, Ms. Tamia, & Ms. Zeba have been there from day one and are amazing early educators. I cannot thank them enough for the care & education they provide my children with on a daily basis. Other teachers/aides are also wonderful with the children, Ms. Sam & Alyssa have been wonderful additions to the classroom. The front office staff is very friendly, super helpful with communication, and answering any questions that may arise. Jamie, Julie, Bonnie, and Amy have always been supportive and available to our family and I've even seen them help out in the classrooms with the children when needed. The school has camera access so when I get a chance, I often see the children learning to write, sensory learning, circle time, and many librarian visits. They also offer breakfast, lunch, snack, & transportation. Kiddie Academy in Toms River has been a huge support for my family.

While I, too have voiced certain concerns with the center about my children, I want to also acknowledge how pleased I am with my sons growth and stability in his current class (Blue Horses). Miss Maria and Miss Amanda (admin) have both been extremely supportive and kind about hearing our concerns that we have had in the past, and for that I thank them. But I would be remiss if I didn't acknowledge the amazing job that Miss Haley has done with our son. She has been patient, kind, and extremely supportive of him. I know how challenging most 3 year olds can be, and he is NO exception. But Miss Haley has treated him so fairly and I have seen nothing but growth in him since she has been with Lightbridge. He has learned invaluable life skills about socialization that I would have never been able to teach him at home, and his academic progress has sky-rocketed. You have a very special/professional teacher in Miss Haley and I just want to give her the recognition she deserves. Thank you ALL for creating a safe and nurturing place for my children to learn and grow.

Peppermint Tree is excellent when you have an only child! Even if you don't require child care,…read moreaffording your child that social interaction is huge for their growth! It is also an excellent place to prepare your child for Kindergarten so they won't go in overwhelmed and scared. At home we can provide structure and learning tools but it just isn't the same as a true school environment. My son gets excited to see his teachers & his friends. He looks forward to gardening, dance parties and art projects. His overall growth has also jumped leaps and bounds from when he first started last year. So much so we extended his hours from half to full day! We also LOVE that the classes are small & the teachers build a close relationship w/ every child. Touring other schools was quite scary seeing kids screaming and overwhelmed staff. I can assure you Peppermint Tree is not and never will be that way! You also have a built in Summer Camp w/ 2 pools to accommodate all age groups. Did I mention swimming lessons, class trips, gardening, ice cream days, etc? All those things are either part of class or an option to add on. So if you are on the fence about where or if you are going to enroll your child, Peppermint Tree is definitely the Best Choice!

My child was enrolled in Peppermint Tree's summer camp. He was there for 5 hours and he was out…read more(playground & pool) from 10:30 am until 11:30 am. Then they'd go inside from noon until 3 pm. This was their time to eat and sleep! Their naptime was 2 hours. So, if you want your 4.5 year old toddler to go to summer camp and nap for 2 hours this is your place. There were no other activities as promised on the schedule we were emailed to before camp began. The schedule showed that they were going to do arts, science and so many fun things. When I asked if he was doing any of these things I was told by his teachers that most of these were happening during his pool time. Really? Isn't the establishment's responsibility to ensure that all groups get to do these "fun things?" Why should a 4.5 yr old eat and sleep from 12 pm - 3 pm. There is plenty of time for his "teachers" to read books, engage them in fun/educational activities while they're inside. So really, all that money we paid for was only for 2 hours (run around in the playground and use the pool). Our child didn't learn anything, there were no educational activities as the written schedule showed, and we basically paid for 5 hours, 3 out of which were eat and sleep! I don't recommend this place whether it is for summer camp or as a daycare. Unless you want to use it as a babysitting place, sure, then it's fine. Just don't expect your child to learn here...

I would AVOID Kindercare of Aberdeen at all costs. I too was a very happy parent until the weekend…read morebefore the New Year of 2024. Our child was completely unsupervised for a total of 28 minutes and left outside in the cold, dark, back playground with all gates open for any predator to come in and have potentially kidnap her. Two teachers were unable to account for a measly eight students. This was absolutely terrifying and at no time did the center nor district director attempt to rectify the situation and just said sorry and that they would write up the two teachers that failed their protocol of doing a face to name check going out and coming back in the building. This just goes to show that just having bodies and not qualified intelligent individuals are sought out after for the care of our children. No one knew where she was when we couldn't find her when we went to pick her up until my husband walked past a window and my daughter saw him and immediately started hysterically crying. Total neglect. To make matters worse there is no transparency made to the parents of this incident and what actions will be conducted moving forward to avoid this from happening to another child and instead is all hush, hush. Unless you decide to disenroll your child, don't expect a call expressing a sincere apology or rectifications to any of your concerns or serious ill events such as if your kid gets forgotten outside completely alone. The assistant director was the only one with the decency to call and actually ask how our daughter, myself and husband were doing. Although she was also ultimately responsible for this horrific event, she is the only one that owned up to this mistake. Not the teachers, not the director, nonetheless the district director. If you're a parent of Kindercare I suggest questioning all of your gut feelings and having them addressed immediately. I have seen videos of same exact instances with Kindercare in another state and other daycare establishments with news stations involved for children being left outside for a total of 3 to 8 minutes during the day! Can you imagine how serious this is for 28 minutes in the cold and dark?! What could have happen that didn't, thank god?! Let this sink in as you read all the other positive reviews as did I. It takes seconds to make a life altering mistake for a family that entrusts their heart, body and soul with utter and complete strangers. Shame on you all. Our daughter is 2.5 and couldn't tell us what happened during that 30 minute time frame she was outside in the dark nor are there cameras over looking the playground with gates open at all times incase of an "emergency". All other centers have alarms on the gates at the very least. Simple, cheap, effective way to avoid kidnappings when your kid is forgotten outside by their caretakers. An investment that will hopefully be made very soon after this inexcusable mistake.

I am absolutely appalled by my experience with The Learning Experience of Toms River. Imagine…read morereceiving a phone call from Child Protective Services informing you that your child's teacher was anonymously reported for **physically abusing him**--this was my reality. I rushed to pick up my son, panicked and horrified, only to be met with a director who seemed more concerned about **staff conflicts** than the safety of my child. I was told that teachers may have reported each other due to personal grievances, as if that somehow made this situation any less alarming. When we rightfully asked for our money back--since there was no chance we'd be sending our child back to an environment where this was even a possibility--we were told we had to **wait for the investigation's outcome.** No compassion, no urgency, no reassurance--just indifference. And to make matters worse, we haven't heard a single word from them since. The investigation concluded with some teachers saying they witnessed the incident and others claiming they did not. Because of this, the state ruled they **could not confirm the allegations.** But what does that mean for my child, who was the victim in all of this? The teacher in question is now likely reinstated and undergoing "training." That is absolutely **sickening.** When I asked if they had cameras in the classroom during my first meeting with them, I was told, **"Yes, we do" Never did I think to ask, **"Do your cameras also record?"** because, like most parents, I assumed they did. Had I known otherwise, I **never** would have entrusted my child to this place. At the very least, I expected The Learning Experience to handle this situation with care and transparency. Instead, they offered **no support, no communication, and no accountability.** I feel completely misled, disappointed, and betrayed. If you are considering this daycare, **please think twice.** No child should ever have to experience what mine did.

She yells at you to quickly close the door when coming in so you don't let the heat out. And yells at the children in the morning during drop off to sit down (they have to sit the whole time until the other teachers come in) and be quiet. They are all crammed into one room from the little 18 month of babies to the big 5 year olds. And should you be a day late in payment be prepared to be humiliated. You can either chose to pay a late fee or buy bagels for all the teachers in the school and she announces to everyone how you were late. Building seems to be falling apart and should your child be in one of the upstairs classrooms they are not aloud to go number 2 in that bathroom because the toilet easily clogs. They are forced to go all the way down stairs to the infant room. My son would come home each day with such a belly ache because he was too embarrassed to use the other bathroom. Can you blame him? I certainly wouldn't want to announce to all my co-workers when I needed to have a bowel movement. There are so many more options out there and I highly recommend you seek them out.
