Overall, my wife and I were very happy with this facility and if it were still practical to send our son there, we would. As with any new parents, we were very nervous about picking a daycare as everyone has a horror story. Two things stand out about LB of Freehold which ultimately eased our concerns: 1) The owners care. From day one Vita and Nicole were incredibly welcoming and professional. Not a day went by where we were not met with a friendly greeting. If there was a concern, they were always receptive and willing to set aside time to listen and take action when necessary. 2) The facility was modern (opened around 2015) and very clean. Every night each classroom along with all the toys were cleaned and disinfected. Did our son get sick? Yes, of course he did, it's daycare, but it was not excessive and was not a result of the facility being dirty (I'll hold the commentary on parents dropping off kids that are already sick). The teachers my son had (Infants / mobile infants /1.5-2.5 years) were great. All cared and all were in control of their classrooms and there was no turnover during my son's tenure (Ms Meryl in the infant room was incredibly caring and really helped our sons transition to DC). The owners made good hires. Some turnover was noted at the teacher aide level, but that is to be expected. Finally, and most importantly our son enjoyed being there. He never protested going in the morning and was always happy when we picked him up. Being around other kids on a daily basis has helped him develop socially. This is evident when I see him around other toddlers who have not spent time with their peers. If you have reasonable expectations, this is a great daycare and I would recommend to anyone looking in the Freehold area.

Jaime, the director, keeps the school spotless. All of the teachers are thoughtful, creative, kind to our children, and very loved! From Halloween parades, holiday performances, and spring concerts/graduation there are tons of opportunities for parent involvement and activities. During the summer the school has camp-like activities: tattoos and face paint, arts and craft days, as well as water play. It was nerve wracking to put an infant in daycare during the pandemic, but I know we made the right choice with Gold Star!

You can tell she truly loves kids. She is very loving and caring and I feel she takes care of my daughter as of her own. My baby always have a clean diaper and never had diaper rash so you can tell it's not just being changed before you pick up your child but it's changed throughout the day to keep your baby dry and clean at all times. They also have hot lunches and dinners with organic fruits and veggies Which tells you that the owner, Angelina truly cares about health and nutrition of the little ones! The owner Angelina always greets every child in person when dropping off or picking up. She keeps the place very clean. The groups are small with no more than 6 kids per group so each child gets plenty of attention. The teachers speak multiple languages: English, Ukrainian and Russian which helps a lot to bilingual parents who want they child to speak their parents native language. Leaders in learning have cameras so at anytime you can see what your child is doing throughout the day and they post pictures of your baby everyday in the closed parents group on Facebook so you can see what your child is eating and what activity they are doing while you are at work which is really great! Also, the location of this daycare is great. I drop off my baby in the morning and they let me leave my car parked at the daycare parking for the day which is super convenient. I work in the city so I take a bus to port authority NY. The bus stop is right across route 9 and less than 5 minutes walk. In overall the atmosphere here is very friendly, kind and caring and it feels like one big family. I highly recommend this daycare and can assure your baby will be in the best hands and well taken care of.

As a current staff in the building, children can be difficult and it's hard when we have a lot of children at once but we make it work and make them feel safe throughout the day. We dedicate our time to these students and make sure that they are well taken care of. My child loves going to school and I wouldn't change going anywhere else for her. This is one of the best daycares and the tuition is reasonable.

The staff can sometimes be found sitting on stationary bikes watching tv while the gym needs attention. However, after a few decades I can at least say the equipment is up to date. There are a lot of amenities (basketball court, pool, sauna, indoor track....just to name a few). The gym is clean, and the other gym-goers are friendly. Issues brought to the attention of staff are addressed. 5/5 if you're looking for a family gym, 3/5 for myself and anyone serious about fitness or competing in strength sports. They do offer a military discount, and I value that greatly.
