During your session they assess your skin and let you know what they are doing and using. It's so calming that I often find myself falling asleep by the end of it. They have private tubs you can reserve for an hour if that's more the vibe you are feeling, but you can also use the hot tub before or after your appointment to soak which is so relaxing. I do appreciate the touches of tea kettles and tea in the lounge area that are complimentary. They also have snacks and other things if you are there longer. Remedy is such a sweet serene spot right in the university area that you'd kinda forget where you are because it's so peaceful while experiencing it, and that's why I can't recommend Emily and Remedy enough.

During my massage, the therapist kept walking in and out of the room, leaving the door open several times, which made me feel exposed and uneasy. At the end, she made an inappropriate comment about me being "a very strong man" in front of my girlfriend and her husband, which was completely unprofessional. To make matters worse, after my girlfriend left a tip, they told her she should leave a larger one. It was very uncomfortable and disrespectful. We stood there awkwardly while they spoke in another language and ignored us until we asked if we could leave. My girlfriend worked hard to surprise me for my birthday, and it's disappointing that this special occasion turned into such an unpleasant experience. When you go to a spa, you automatically have access to all the spa's amenities. This includes tubs and saunas. There are no spa amenities here. If you are paying premium prices, you would expect a premium experience. Keep looking because you are not going to get that at Betty's Day Spa. To make matters worse, their customer service is horrendous! One would think that, if there is a medical emergency, they would allow you to at the very least reschedule your services. They do not.
