I'm quite a frugal person but I love my massage...so..after a long hiatus from getting a massage, I…read morefinally decided I was going to get one on the day I felt quite off and sick with my whole body aching. I picked HYH because they had easy scheduling online..and the other places I checked out online either didn't seem to have easy appointment making process or just were not open/didn't have last minute availability! I ended up booking my 90 minute full body massage appointment at night that day after I was done with everything! I was so glad I chose HYH. I arrived 30 minute earlier because I wasn't sre about where the place or what the parking situation was. But...there was nothing to worry about at all! Safe parking area, etc! Once I stepped into a place, a staff greeted me with water. I waited a bit and once I was there, I already felt a little relief from the peacefulness there. I had a male massage therapist and he was good! He did check in with me quite a bit on how I was doing and what I preferred. Honestly, with all the hot towels, warm pillows, hot stones, and all the massages all over, I felt on cloud 9. The prices were extremely reasonable that I felt so glad I chose to treat myself well that day! I definitely will be back at this place given all the right experiences about this place and the fact that they seemed more flexible with hours and open early/late, too!

I didn't, and ending up having a weird, disjointed, and very UN-relaxing, UN-effective massage...add to that, a super SHADY price, which was worse. The lady showed me to the room, said, 'take clothes off, face down.' Ok, standard stuff. Apparently she was not my therapist because I hear a man's voice. He is the one that is going to work on me; let your clients know what is going on. Zero communication. It's a little jarring when you are face down, and the person you think is going to be there, is someone else! I'm sure the person working on me was nice enough, but he left the room twice without telling me why. How unsettling! Once was to get hot stones that were not EVEN luke warm, and once was to get a hot towel to wipe off the house disinfectant-smelling oil he used on my back. I had to wash it off as soon as I got home. When he came back the second time, he left the door ajar, so anyone walking by might be able to see me covered in this weird 'half' sheet. No whole sheets, weird. I could certainly hear others talking since the door was open. So many times I wanted to end the massage because it was so awful. The guy, is he even licensed? Is this place licensed? He kept trying to cover my hair in a towel to keep the oil off-he spent several minutes adjusting that. Frustrating, when he could have been working on my back. The kicker: their sign that has been displayed on Eubank for more than a year states, "$50-one hour massage." When I went to pay, the bill was $64. I said, "no, your sign states..."-The lady said no, and showed me a chart showing different prices for the SAME ONE HOUR MASSAGE. (They have different pricing depending on the time of day. ) I told her that it was not fair because of their advertisement. She said since I was a first time client, that is was ok to do $50. Whatever. The price was $50, then a $3.00 service charge I wasn't expecting, and tax. I tipped a small amount and she had the AUDACITY to say that I had to tip 20%!!! I certainly did not. Their business name on my bank statement is 'Body Foot Spa Albuquerque NM' it doesn't even match the business name on the door and facade which is, 'Health Body Foot Spa, AND Body Foot...?'

So I don't care if it's a perfectly decorated room or if they need to grab something from the other room. My massage therapist was a woman who worked quietly and responded quickly when I had a sore spot. The hot rocks were perfect temp-- I've never tried that before but I really liked it. While it is true that the sign on Eubanks says 50$, the website clearly says 60$ an hour. They did not skimp on the full hour and I was grateful for their professional deep tissue massage.

It is definitely got the walk-in massage place vide, but it was $40 for half an hour. You aren't going to a spa. But this was EXACTLY what I needed. Will be back for sure.

So, this experience overall was quite uncomfortable. I know it's a gamble finding a…read moreprofessional/quality massage establishment that accepts walk-ins. I have a regular place I go to, but it was a Sunday morning. My regular was closed and I was hurting. I decided on Chinese Massage because it was relatively nearby and had okay reviews (or any reviews, for that matter). Though they accommodate walk-ins, you can book online (however from other reviews, it appears they don't track their online booking system well). I booked an appointment 15 minutes out, just in case, and headed over there. It's located in a strip mall off of Eubank, just north of Constitution. Upon entering, no one was upfront, but someone came to greet me. The language barrier was quite significant and she didn't seem to understand when I said I'd booked online. She understood I was looking for a one-hour massage, so she directed me toward the back into a room with a floor lamp that had a disconcerting red light bulb, security camera monitors glaring down over the massage table and curtains along the back wall that covered what appeared to be something like rice paper wall/room divider. She then told me that I had to pay before the service, which I have never been asked to do at a massage business. I was uncomfortable doing so (especially since I typically use cash when dealing with smaller massage businesses, because I've had a few experiences where they "highly encourage" you to NOT use your credit card, so they can avoid merchant fees....and that conversation is also uncomfortable). That said, Chinese Massage does offer the option to pay with credit card. As for the massage, all I had to cover myself was a bath towel. The massage, for the most part, was lackluster. It was mostly rubbing oil along my contours, but no actual muscle manipulation. My massage therapist also left at least twice to go answer the front door. She did a decent job when it came to my hands, feet, and scalp. Afterwards, I was offered a bottle of cold water. Finally, the cost was $60 for the hour. While relatively inexpensive as far as many massage spa/facilities are concerned, I don't feel like I got $60 worth of relaxation.

My Mom went with the first woman and I waited for the second woman. I was told to wait 20 minutes. After 30 minutes had passed (and I knew she had ended her massage with her last customer) I went and looked for the masseuse. I tried to speak with her but she didn't speak English. I was just curious when I would be seen but she had to get the other masseuse who was doing my moms massage to translate. When we finally got started I told her she could use hard pressure. Even after I told her she didn't use hard pressure. She just rubbed my back and legs the whole time. I was trying to be optimistic so I gave her time thinking she was just warming my body up. After about 30 minutes I told her she could use hard pressure again. She still did not use pressure and continued to just rub or run her hands over my back. She also straddled my head and my back. I honestly don't know why because she wasn't digging into any areas. During the massage her phone kept vibrating and she had it in the chair next to my head so I could hear it go off every few minutes, which was annoying. She also left the room whenever a new customer came in so the massage kept getting interrupted. I definitely would never go back.

I called before showing up to make sure they accepted walk-ins, we were two. The lady who answered said 'yes'. I told her I'd pay for both massages but would tip with cash AFTER the service. She left me three times to either answer the phone or greet another walk in. When I agreed to a hot towel she went to the bathroom to run the hot water. She basically rubbed my body even after I told her medium pressure. When I walked after the room after she was done she asked again if I wanted to put the tip on my card. Once again i said no and waited for my daughter to finish. I tipped her because I appreciated them being open and accepting a walk in, NOT for exceptional nor good service
