Rarely is a person at the big box store happy to see you, much less help. Especially when you go there for in depth guidance to a home remodel project. When you go back a few days later with more questions, you might get someone different and have to start all over! The experience at Floor Art is the exact opposite. We walked in the door and were surprised at how big the showroom was. The front entrance is quite deceiving. A woman welcomed us (we found out later she was the owner), explaining that someone would be with us shortly, as she was helping another customer. Fair enough. We used that time to look around. We soon learned that Floor Art brings flooring products in from all over the world; tile, hardwood, laminate, engineered, vinyl, all in different grades and thickness. Plenty of carpet choices as well. There are several product options already on their warehouse floor. Yet, they have access to many more, and can get them quickly. They offer everything needed for a bathroom or kitchen wall and flooring project. The sales rep we worked with gave guidance on tile patterns, sizing, and how best to make our tile really pop. In addition, she made suggestions on grout color and how to maintain it over time. They also offer the full range of waterproofing systems needed for water applications (that go under the tile), as in the case of our bathroom remodel. Everything needed to get your project done correctly. We came here because a good friend is a contractor in OH. He explained that a tile store would offer a better grade and quality than the big box stores. More importantly, the grout products that bigger stores sell, have added fillers (to keep their costs down). Fillers that will shrink and flake out over time. That's why you see tile grout flaking out on some tile projects after just a few years. We took a few tile samples home (and several pics on our phone), to use in our bathroom to help visualize the new space. The next time back after consulting with the sales rep, we picked 3 different tile patterns; one for the bathroom floor, the shower walls and the backsplash. Two were in stock, and the backsplash had to be ordered in. It took less than a week to arrive. Upon arrival we got an update phone call. Every item was staged until our contractor could pick it all up. Our bathroom remodel is now complete, and it looks great. The knowledge and expertise we received by the entire staff of Floor Art helped us save time and money in the long run. We can't wait to use them again, and world recommend them to anyone.

(How, with the rise of plant parenting during the pandemic, is this not a more readily available piece of furniture?). But don't you worry, I didn't leave empty handed--this store didn't have what I was looking for, but it had a lot of other great stuff. It's a little confusing when you get there, trying to figure out where to go in--or if, indeed, you should go in; I was really worried I was wandering around someone's private home. I'm almost positive it *was* a private home at on time, and they've used the space in a really cool way. When you wander through the store--which is pretty large, and PACKED with stuff--you'll find furniture, candles, silverware, dinnerware, blankets, pillows, tote bags, cookie cutters, greeting cards... just about any sort of gift or houseware item you might want. They also have as a part of their business custom furniture building, and they've used one of the rooms to display the different types of wood that you can choose for your furniture. That's so creative!! I really love how in the kitchen they still have old-school appliances like a dishwasher, refrigerator... I swear, I felt like I was in my grandma's home. And the counters are also used to display merchandise. I'm honestly just so astounded by how clever they used this space to make it wonderfully inviting. The thing I don't love about this store is that it doesn't have a website for anything beyond its woodworking arm, and they don't use ApplePay. I asked about both things, because I had wanted to buy a blanket as a gift, but realized I had the household card on me instead of my debit card. So I ended up only picking up a few items and left the blanket. I know that opting against e-commerce is a deliberate choice and they clearly don't need to venture online for their business to work, but it's too bad for folks like me who don't live near and are not going to make the trip to shop there. They arrived w/aUHaul truck. When they saw we had some really good stuff, one of the guys was suspiciously on the phone calling someone. My husband saw this/overheard part of the conversation before he quickly got off the phone. They tossed things in fast took all but a couple items then said they would be back in an hour. 5 hours passed. Called the store and the folks there said the guys had not yet come back from the pick up. Since the store was only about 15 minutes away I'd say they had themselves a great time picking thru and stealing the items meant for needy people. If you are the management you are either a part of this criminal activity or you are clueless and you hired the wrong people. The perfect crime from a really crappy business. What goes around comes around. Some day they will stand and be judged.

New product comes in daily according to their Facebook and everything comes assembled, ready to take home. Located in the previous location of Joanne Fabrics location, Open Box Outlet has a large layout where they display an overwhelming number of items. My husband is already excited to come back to check out more items. While the customer service could use a touch of work (greeting customers or at least having someone ask if you need help finding something), I blame the fact they just opened for that and I'm sure they'll get the right number of employees to remedy that. We will definitely be back soon.
