I was skeptical of getting lash extensions done after my first experience elsewhere due to having thin lashes and an uncomfortable experience leading to only 5 day retention. I was introduced to Lina at Light Eyes through one of my girlfriends who has similar natural lashes and her extensions looked AMAZING! I've been looking for a good go to place in San Jose to get eyelashes extensions done and I'm so glad I was able to find Lina at Light Eyes. I called in Saturday morning around 9am and got fitted into a 12pm appointment right away. It was a little hard to find as I had to circle the plaza but they are located directly across from the South bay church. Parking is ample and it was not too busy when I went in, they offer drinks. I went to Lina who was highly recommended to me from my friends. I heard she does great full set eyelashes at a decent price and who isn't looking to look ballin' on a budget hehe. This review is loong overdue! I've been coming here for about a year now and I absolutely love it! LINA, the aesthetician really cares about her clients. She's amazing at what she does and works with you! She literally can just look at the shape of your eyes and go from there. I trust she knows what she's doing because it looks great every time! If you know a certain look you're going for you can definitely just let her know and she'll do her best to recreate it. But if it's your first time you can trust her to do her thing and glam you up! I usually go for a more dramatic look using 11-14 cc or L curls. Since my eyes are bigger, they don't look too crazy for an everyday thing. Trust me, if you're still debating on getting them done I'd suggest to just go for it. You really won't regret it. It's always good to try new things. If it doesn't work out (highly doubtable) then you'll know. At least you tried it. Oh! And when you finally book your appointment and you're laying down getting your lashes done don't be afraid to take a "lash nap" as Lina likes to call it. Don't worry!! Everyone does it (; Pros: You can wake up and look glam!!! Saves you SO much time getting ready. Absolutely a must for a busy person like I. Cons: Does require a bit of time to clean them. Lina has been doing volume lash extensions on me countless times over the past year! Shes licensed and certified to do lashes. I do not let anyone touch my lashes besides her because i've been to so many places that has damaged my lashes. I have had clustered lashes and have had terrible retention at many places. She is very tedious and takes her time with each client. She's experienced with doing many different styles and gives you the best advice on what lashes would be best for retention purposes. The office itself is very basic, the the lash room is very nice and relaxing. This is a sister store to the Mountain View Face N Body spa. Lina is the primary lash artist in the SJ location and she is amazing! They use an exclusive lash from Taiwan that they produce. It's so light and soft that u barely feel it!
