The nearby gas stations couldn't help us, and the tire shop across the street had already closed. Seeing that Blackwell Automotive was still open felt like an absolute blessing. Even though it was the end of the day, they took the time to help us without hesitation. Their kindness, professionalism, and willingness to go the extra mile completely turned our evening around. Instead of spending the first night of our vacation stranded and stressed, we were able to get back on the road and enjoy our trip. I was aware of a few issues to be addressed & wanted to see if they would identify them , quote me for repair cost. Jeff the classic car manager was helpful & upfront about the cost ($195/ hour). Jeff's team identified the issues i was aware of & found a few important items i was not aware of, this made me happy & willing to continue working with Blackwells. Upon pick up, the owner was there, Jeff introduced us (his name escapes me). He was very friendly & appeared passionate about the business. He (owner) walked me through the shop showing me the various vehicles they are currently restoring or repairing. I was very encouraged by this & the proximity to my house is fantastic. I left after advising Jeff of the future modifications & repairs I wanted to pursue, Jeff told me he would get an estimate together & get back to me soon. 2 months later I hadn't heard anything. I stopped by the shop some with Lance since Jeff or the owner were not in the office. After letting Lance know the story & running through my list with him & the tech who worked in the vehicle. Lance apologized for the lack of follow thru, he made no excuse & let me know he would have Jeff contact me as soon as he returned. We are now another month passed & NO communication! I stopped by the shop again to speak with the owner (not in the shop), so I left my number & requested a call. ANOTHER MONTH has passed, NOTHING! I cannot believe a business would be so unprofessional & lacking communication. Seriously disappointed with this business. Good luck if you choose to have them work on your vehicle.

Well, I was right in the middle of a job needing it for a long haul when it began acting up really bad. It would chug at stop lights and it was behaving like it wasn't getting fuel... and it finally even died on me. Well, thank god I was able to get it to a local mechanic and when calling all my friends on who they would use, many of them cited the same place and it was Scott Repmans off Bell. Especially because I've got a diesel and I know they require a special touch. Well, not only was I expecting the bill to be much higher but I honestly wasn't expecting to get it back until Thursday or even Friday. Turns out it was a sensor for the accelerator and they had it ready for pickup on Monday by 3pm! It drives BETTER than even before the problems began and I now know where to take it for my tune-up and maintenance like oil changes. Super thrilled with this place and will recommend them along with my buddies now.
