Been coming to Lifted Spirits for a few years now, can't say I've ever had a bad experience or drink there. The place is riddled with charm on a quieter block in the crossroads, the interior is small but set up perfectly with a garage door window they open up on good weather days! They also have a pretty sweet outdoor patio! The staff are always so friendly and helpful in breaking down their cocktails to help you decide on which one try. They also have trivia which my partner and I tried and we had a lot of fun playing. The drinks are always exquisite, my personal favorite at the moment is Left on Read! If you like cocktails you will enjoy this spot especially when the weather is nice

We've been to Lifted Spirits in downtown KC a couple times for trivia, and we love it! It's on the small side, but that just makes it feel more cozy, I think, and personable. The trivia is Jeopardy-style (except you don't have to answer in question form), and it's even more awesome because the host, Sammy, has actually been on the real Jeopardy! You can tell he puts a lot of effort into the trivia questions - we like the questions a lot more than at other trivia nights we've been to. Some of our group got cocktails, and they really enjoyed their drinks--they said they were, and I quote "very good". Our server was also really on top of things, and checked on us several times throughout the night to make sure we had everything we needed. We have a great time every time we come here - I highly recommend it!

Recently I made a long overdue initial visit to the tasting room at Lifted Spirits. It's a great spot! If I had access to a wormhole, I'd give my past self a shout out so I wouldn't miss out on years of delicious cocktails. But new discoveries has its rewards and the offerings are replete with them. Zeroing in on one of the many and varied cocktails isn't an easy task. There were about 17 I wanted to try. Fortunately, the friendly and knowledgeable server/mixologist came to the rescue, like an oracle, prophesizing a happy, buzzy future. So I highly recommend stopping by and having a drink or two. It's an intimate space, not so much like a speakeasy, but a place of joy and wonder with an outdoor patio.

Super pumped to take home some of their original spirits! Jalapeno and herb infusion vodka (sold in May to early Fall on shelves!)

I can't believe it has taken me this long to review this place because it is always amazing. Lifted Spirits is one of those low-key places that always provides amazing flavors and drinks--definitely a place to take visitors and I can't wait to become a regular here. The place is not huge, but I can always find a seat! It is a smaller location than other bars nearby (next door is City Barrell and around the corner is King G), but I think this place blows the other options out of the water. The ambiance is comfortable, yet the combinations of the cocktails have me guessing and then LOVING. Last visit, we had drinks that were refreshing takes on an old fashioned and one was a take on I have no idea what--a mix of gin, pistachio and honey orgeat, Benedictine, velvet falernum, and lemon (Winter Vacation). I'm going to have to go back to stay on top of all these amazing combinations at Lifted!

Delicious drinks. Their gins are great

We are huge Lifted Spirits fan. They are in the crossroads area of downtown right in the brewery crawl area. Their gins are A++ The bright gin is my favorite, it can be done straight and makes a great gimlet, G&T or anything with citrus. The bold gin is also a favorite. Use it to make an aviation or mule. It has a bold flavor but doesn't over take a drink. The supernova is my least favorite gin. It's a higher strength and goes good in a drink with more of a mixer. I am not a fan of dark liquors but my partner tried both their ryes after they were recommended to us. He was not a huge fan of the Madeira as it had a burn to it, more so than most ryes. The triple casket rye has a mint liquorish taste. Not a fan personally. If you like absinthe this may be for you. Any of the cocktails here are great too. They have fender neutral bathrooms and lgbtqia+ signs hanging throughout too. They are definitely a place that is safe for everyone. The bar tenders are kind and knowledgeable or all their liquors.

We attended Yelp Elite Badge Bash 2023 at Lifted Spirits Distillery and it was so. much. FUN! My husband and I are kicking ourselves for not visiting Lifted Spirits sooner. Their upstairs event space is awesome and spacious. Staff is super knowledgable and friendly. Cocktails are expertly made. I ordered a gimlet in the tasting room and it was one of the best cocktails I've had in Kansas City. (I don't say that lightly!) Shout out to our rockstar mixologist, Charlie! The distillery tour is engaging, educational and inspiring. Michael's passion for spirits and community left a lasting impression. It's no surprise Lifted Spirits was named Missouri's best gin distillery at the New York International Spirits Competition in Summer 2022. We can't wait to return to what is now one of our favorite cocktail bars in Kansas City.

Really fun and laid back spot. Apparently the owner is my second cousin once removed (I think) so my dad was excited to go here when visiting from AR. It was a beautiful day and I love that on such days they're open to the outdoors. That plus some great early 2000s pop punk classics really made for a great atmosphere. I asked for their most popular drink which was their blueberry specialty cocktail. It was delicious!

There are multiple breweries and distilleries in the East Crossroads but stopping into Lifted Spirits is a must. After going on a tour of the distillery, given by the owner, I'm not at all surprised their cocktails and spirits are phenomenal. If you're looking for a recommendation, The Wild East cocktail was absolutely delicious {ingredients: Brilliant vodka, lime, sugar, jalapeno shrub, smoke}. I'm excited to return to try one of the other signature cocktails.

If you're looking for a drink in the Crossroads area, definitely stop in to Lifted Spirits and order yourself a Wild East signature cocktail - it is a delicious, well balanced vodka based cocktail featuring jalapeno. My mom enjoyed it so much she decided to buy a kit so she could make the drink at home. Lifted Spirits is a relatively new, locally owned distillery, with a passionate owner. I went on a tour led by the owner and found his energy and love for his craft and business to be contagious. I definitely plan to support LSD in the future.

Did you know this was one of the first distilleries in the metro? Thanks to Michael the owner and Sarah our CM for coordinating this Elite event. This a cool distillery with an interesting background and very yummy product. The various botanicals in the bold and brilliant brands cause it to stand out. I'm not a gin fan, but was converted after tasting it. All of the botanicals of citrus and other flavors dance on your tongue. It's a great space and the tasting room is inviting. The bartenders are knowledgeable.

The best dirty martini I've had in a while!!! Great playlist and friendly staff. A must visit!!

Love love loved our experience at Lifted Spirits. To start, we booked a tour of the operations and were happy to find out that it was the owner that was going to lead it. We got to hear all about how he got started in the business and the process they use to make their spirits. A very neat behind the scenes look. Then we came out to their tasting room which had a bunch of tables in an indoor/outdoor space. We were very excited to try the spirits given the variety and uniqueness of a lot of the flavors. We went home with a couple of bottles... And when you visit you will too. The quality of the alcohol, the smoothness, the pure botanical flavors...it really is unbeatable. Favorites include the supernova gin and the jalapeño vodka. I also like the uniqueness of their packaging. They will make nice gifts.

We just stopped in to check it out. Cool inside. We didn't taste anything but we made a purchase of a bottle of Bright Gin. Will update later.

Hi Jes! Lately we have been doing a featured cocktail of the day, which is usually $2-3 off the normal price. I think we're featuring Black Manhattans and a twist on a classic Gin and Tonic this week!

That changed yesterday, when Diana Condori, the bar manager, was named a 2026 James Beard Outstanding Professional in Cocktail Service semifinalist. As we love supporting restaurants and bars that receive that kind of recognition, my wife and I headed to Fern Bar that evening. I was especially curious what exactly a "sugarcane and agave bar" meant. We arrived around 5:30pm and found only a handful of guests inside. After congratulating the bartender who first served us, he mentioned that Diana was working that night and would stop by to meet us. During our conversation, Diana shared that she didn't even know she had been nominated. She woke up Tuesday to a call from owner Bryan Arri, who said he had big news and was coming over. Her first thought was that something terrible had happened--like the bar had burned down. Instead, he showed up with coffee and told her she was a James Beard honoree. Diana is originally from Bolivia and has lived in Kansas City most of her life, with the exception of time spent in San Francisco during the pandemic. She further refined her cocktail craft through local pop-ups in Kansas City under the name Condor's Cove. When Bryan was preparing to open Fern Bar, he reached out to bring her onto the team. The printed cocktail menu immediately reminded me of the Monarch and the Mercury Room--not surprising given Bryan's background at Manifesto and the Monarch. Thoughtful, intentional, and clearly designed for people who appreciate serious cocktails. We planned on having one or two drinks but ended up staying for three, thanks to an outstanding lineup and a memorable conversation with Diana. We tasted: * No Fly Zone - Rum, agave, pineapple foam * Mr. Collage - Smooth, elegant, egg-white cocktail * Three Negroni Lunch - Bitter, boozy, and beautifully balanced * Pendergast No. 4 - Complex and spirit-driven * It's Bananas - Banana liqueur with bright tropical notes * Off the Rails - Creative and well-executed rum/agave cocktail One downside of many cocktail-forward bars is the lack of food, but Fern Bar offers two varieties of mini burritos for $4--just enough protein to keep things balanced while indulging. Great concept, exceptional service, and truly memorable drinks. Check it out--and be sure to say hello to Diana.

Our absolute favorites were the wagyu nagiri (melt-in-your-mouth incredible) and the oysters with caviar. The wagyu sliders were also a hit. That said, the fried lobster tail was a bit of a letdown--chewy and lacking the flavor punch that everything else delivered. The atmosphere is lively and fun, but heads up: it gets very loud.
